Purchased my third MGB from Croydon Classics. Best classic car I've owned! Totally restored and is lovely to drive. Planning to get married in it this year.

The MGB I purchased looked great, had no faults I was assured. Broke down within 10 miles no response from mobile so called RAC. Taken back two my garage. Found wiring all a mess, brakes needed a complete overhaul rears ceased, inlet manifold sucking air. Some good bits had been put on car but by someone who hadn’t a clue. My advice keep well clear of James and Croydon classics. A very dodgy dealer.
I am a classic car enthusiast and have just purchased two lovely cars from Croydon Classics - a totally restored and rust free MGB GT, and a classic Mini Cooper. Both prepared to a high standard and I could not be happier.

Bought a car from James Barton in 2010, Mgb roadster, car looked Great but on arrival at the dealership it was filthy. Multiple problems, when I got the car home, radiator leaking, rear bumper welded to rear valance on inspection no inner sills, car came with a full mot but was a death trap. stay away from this man no expert only in selling bad cars and bodges

I have purchase a couple of MGBs from Croydon Classics, both of which were as described. Very happy and I would highly recommend this classic car dealer.
I bought an MGB from Croydon Classics back in January and the service was very good overall, I would recommend this company if you are loooing for a good restored MGB. James was very helpful, The car was clean, as described, and good value for money. I did have an issue with it, something blew but James fixed it free of charge, Very happy overall.

Bought a car from Croydon Classics for my husband's Christmas/birthday present, from photos and telephone conversations. The car was delivered on a transporter and is totally as described. My husband is over the moon with it. I highly recommend them for service and honesty.
Same story for me as others who have posted here. Bought an MGB from James Barton which turned out to be dangerous, despite being sold with a 'valid' MOT. Independent MOT failed on multiple grounds, Barton refused to accept responsibility and ultimately offered to buy back the car for 50% of the sale value. Wish I'd seen these postings before I bought from Croydon Classics.
