Traded an old model Freelander for a newer version Freelander 2 on 30 May 2015. The car broke down in the first week, was sent back to David Stockton and returned “fixed“ to me the week after where it broke down again! This time the car was in David Stockton’s garage for a few weeks before being returned in mid-July. David gave me the use of one of his other Freelander’s that he had in stock so although disappointed with the initial problems, the car is now fixed, running well and I am very pleased with it. David was pleasant and helpful to deal with and although I was fairly stressed about it all at the time, I am still very happy with my purchase and with the assistance from David.

This dealer is 200 miles from my home so trust was critical. The car was not as described but not in sufficiently poor state to call off the deal having traveled that distance. However the dealer then attempted to dodge many issues with the car subsequently, only on one occasion offering to pay for parts if I paid for labour. We subsequently agreed a partial refund of £200 which was never paid and the dealer now says he's not prepared to pay. Extremely disappointing and not reflective of the second hand car trade in this day and age I'm sure.
