Bought this van back in 2016 . It's been nothing but trouble with it .cost me so far a total of £850.00. Should of realised when it failed its mot before I picked it up is was going to be nothing but TROUBLE and it is. I will think twice about buying from Davidsons.

Hi Tony, thanks for your review, thought it necessary to address a few of your comments as it is in the public arena, yes the vehicle failed its MOT prior to delivery; this is why we thoroughly check our vehicles, a coil spring is a very common failure on both new and used vehicles, this i know from my own personal experience on a 6 month old vehicle i purchased. Having covered 18-20000 miles in the 15 months it took to post your review, i would certainly have expected you to outlay for service, MOT, tyres etc. I also note from your service history with us that we have only seen the vehicle once in that 15 month period, for something minor.
I live in Bournemouth some 320 miles away and saw an almost new Astra on the Autotrader site. I dealt with Brendon who was polite, helpful and knowledgeable. There was no sales pressure and responded to each of my queries. When he needed to phone me back he did so. As a result I bought the car unseen and they agreed to take my trade in. The Astra was delivered and my trade in collected very efficiently. When paying for the car I found that my Bank has a single daily electronic transfer limit of £10k. The Bank wanted to charge £35 to transfer above that figure on the same day. Their response was that advised me not to pay this charge but pay on two consecutive days. A small thing but much appreciated. Sadly,because of the distance I will not be able to get the car serviced by Davidson's. Alas as I replaced my wife's Corsa locally last year so it will be a while before I will need their services again. Thanks Davidson's, it was a pleasure dealing with you.
Purchased a car in June from Davidsons Of Newcastle, couldn't find the car i wanted so they tracked it down for me, great price, mileage and condition, 5 star service from enquiry to delivery and beyond, very friendly family run garage, not pushy at all, would highly recommend this dealership.
Bought Citroen berlingo van from this dealer and was told to come back and collect spare key and log book. On going back to collect spare key was told they did not have it . So now I am at a loss so any body with spare key can drive van away

Hi Brian, At the time the van was supplied to us by a 3rd party on sale or return and we were told they couldn't find the key. However this turned up literally a few days after speaking to you and you now have both keys. Thanks for the feedback and I am glad the issue is now resolved.
Service was fantastic when buying a car they can't help enough. However just be careful because the salesmen are very misleading they don't tell you the full truth about how economical their cars are. Their after sales service is non existent after an issue with a diesel car they sold me only managing 35 mpg I phoned up to air concerns. Their sales manager told me he would phone me back 3 days in he hangs up on the phone and I've had no contact. I'm now stuck with a car that I now can't afford to drive. Bad after care service typical car dealer. My advice just be careful. I won't buy from them again.
Great dealer. Sorted my car I purchased in November of last year really quickly, so cant fault them. I have just told my mate to go there when he gets his new car, in my opinion that says everything you need to know about Davidsons of Morpeth
