Super helpful and nice until you've purchased the car. All cars are 'serviced' and thoroughly checked before sale,. This is a blatant lie as my car came with no air con gas, low engine oil, 4 chips on the windscreen, all 3 wipers broken, and now it needs the transfer box, propshaft and Gearbox replacing. Currently left with a 12k bill to repair a 15.5k car and they are yet to respond to my efforts in contacting to return the car. Warranty will only cover 1K, so not really worth what they imply. Would avoid even if it is your ideal car, It's probably broken.

Purchased a 2013 MX5 for my wife. Deal had to be done remotely as we live on the south coast. It was a really good experience bearing in mind the risks of doing a deal so far apart. The company were flexible to deal with, very accommodating and made the whole process a pleasure. Spoke to several staff who were all very helpful but the deal was done with Jim who is a really nice guy to deal with.

I bought a Range Rover Vogue SE, in 2019. I was only offered an extremely short test drive, where my attention was distracted by the salesman. To be fair, I could have been more thorough, but on collecting the car and my journey home (a proper drive) I found the heated/cooled seats did not work, the adaptive cruise control did not work and nor did the blower (so foggy windscreen) After many emails of complaint, I did finally get the repairs completed. That’s the good news though! When I picked the car up, with my family, the salesman waved the service book and said, and I quote “I need to get this stamped and I’ll post it on to you” Two tears later, all communication ignored, and now I’ve lost value on my trade in against a new car, because I was unable to produce the service book, Deane Motors sold the car, as having! When threatening legal action, the response was “do what you have to do, it’s our word against yours” So be warned, there are other dealers out there who genuinely want to look after customers, and there are some that are just not bothered!!!

purchased a 19000£ BMW M235i (Hj65ovh) this company in October. I drove 160miles to pick the car up and was initially very pleased with everything. Within days I could see smoke coming out around the bonnet and a weird smell, along with a weird noise when the car is started. This was reported and Deane motors initially claimed it was oil spillage from service smoking, I took it to a private garage who said the car had lost plenty of oil and the oil filter housing was incorrectly replaced and the o ring was not put on correctly causing the problem. Further to this as it was within 30 days of purchase the company paid for a replacement oil filter housing. 3 month's Into owning the car I heard some noises whilst driving and when I pulled up at a petrol station the car wouldn't start with an ignition malfunction message. Deane motors showed me their incompetence when I reported this to them by advising me to have it fixed under the warranty they provided plus continualy ignoring my calls or emails. Under the consumer rights act it is deemed the the vehicle I purchased from them was not of satisfactory quality given its age, mileage and price. I have overlooked small issues such as a bulge in the tyre which I swapped 3 weeks after owning the car and a drivetrain warning light that went on during the oil leak which then didn't re occur. Deane motors are ignoring all their legal responsibilities to fix, replace or refund the vehicle! I have since sought legal advice and will be taking this as far as needed to ensure justice prevails and want to warn any potential customer of the terrible experience myself and others have had with this company. I would give the company a chance to redeem themselves even now and have written a letter to the directors of the business (joyce pilkington) which has also been ignored . What they don't realise is my family has a queen's councilor in contractual law and I will not let them get away with this type of cowboy business behaviour and dismal after sales service. The company have no care that I have been without a vehicle for over a week and I have followed all amicable and necessary steps to seek a resolution from them. I don't even have a courtesy car which I requested so I'll ensure if this goes further a claim for inconvenience and loss of earnings is submitted as well.

Selling over priced vehicles with the promise of good after care and warranty! Once this company has your money they don’t care and the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Stay well clear of Deane Motors.
We purchased an Audi last week, We would recommend Deane’s cars, if you want quality used cars at a great price. As mentioned our car, is brilliant, Mark at Deane’s Motors looked after us from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble.

I have purchased 2 cars off Deane Motors in the last 4 months and the service has been top draw, Justin and I have known each other from previous jobs and he attention to detail is fantastic, I am just waiting for Lee to set up my 12 month warranty on the new purchase. Big thanks to Jim Jackson at Deane Motors who made buying a car at long distance a rewarding experience. From the initial call of interest where Jim took a modest deposit to reserve the car to allow me to travel to view it, to the actual purchase of the car complete with snagging procedure, everything went well. All causes for concern were dealt with promptly and the description of the car was accurate and reliable. It was well worth the two trips from Scotland to source a one owner, low mileage car in mint condition at a keen price. Thanks Jim one very happy customer!
