Bought a van from these guys without being told it was a category F. They now insist they told me (of course!) Had nothing but issues with it. Now having to sell spares or repairs at a large loss as needs a new engine after a couple of months, and no one will touch a category F vehicle. Bang goes all the money I saved for my house deposit! Liars and immoral con men. Will get their comeuppance one day.

Derek Merson is the worst garage I have ever had the miss pleasure of dealing with brought a golf 17 months ago from them and it went wrong in week one and it’s been back in around 12 times with the same fault derek himself promised the world at the time and said we will sort it and will fix it said that it’s had various parts fitted each time it’s been back, but strangely no paper work produced. every time I get the car back it lasts a couple of weeks and then goes again after all this time I finally took the car to have a detailed report done and guess what no replacement parts fitted relating to the fault just a clean and clear of the diagnostics each time!!! Avoid this garage like the plague they are not moral people just con artists selling dodgy dangerous motors!!!
Well where to start with Derek Merson. I traded in a car bought one paid the difference within 6 weeks rear diff and gearbox gone fixes rear diff goes again within a matter of days !!!!, he keeps it for 3 plus weeks so carless with kids and moving over Christmas. Then get told have our old car back (that’s now damaged !) and lose money or pay more for a second car (same make and model) pay the extra £350 and 2 months on the turbo breaks so I’m carless unable to get another as no spare money my son unable to get to college as in a village with hardly anyone any buses as all and they are ignoring our calls :( saying not there issue well it bloody is avoid avoid avoid !

“The car I bought from Derek Merson is in ruins after 2 months of use. The don’t care about safety of the car been sold and it is not a reliable garage if you value your life . Shame!!!!
Bought a car from Derek Merson. Worst thing i ever done. Sold it few months later at a great loss. Don't buy from him.
the car that I bought from this dealer has cost me well over a £1000 in repairs that were not pointed out when bought no service had been done for god knows how long and with in a week the car was in the garage with nothing but problems depollution system faulty rang mr merson and his mechanic said that if you have oil in car and water then it will go away all will be ok this was 10 months ago and still have the same problems plus more so I would not recommend this dealer or use him again myself
