Divine Cars sold me a dodgy car and ripped me off. Terrible with communication. Typical cowboy type of person who cuts your call and makes up excuses. He is now trading under a new name PJS Cars in BEDWORTH in the same location! Be aware! he is not work your money.

Initially, we bought an A-class (from his 'other' company, PJS Car Sales), drove it away. It seemed a nice car. The next day it developed a gearbox fault, so car went into limp mode. I took this to my garage initially to inspect vehicle. The work that was needed came to around £1400, which included worn brakes, the issue with the gear box, and it also needed a new tensioner. I contacted the proprietor and we arrange for me to take it back to him. He could not get it booked in to his garage so promptly said he'd refund the cost. I took the curtesy car back and got a partial refund, as he wanted the log book back. 3 weeks later still no log book through, however a log book for a newer bought car had come though? Phoned DVLA and they confirmed that they had not had any change of details sent to them. Have contacted several occasions for the rest of refund with no response or calls answered. I would not suggest buying a car from this man. We incurred a lot of addition cost. Was also charged £50 fee for paying using a debit card. Steer clear of Divine Cars.

Bought a car October 17, and by the end of January 18 had racked up £600 in repairs, including a replacement Cam Belt that I specifically asked about and told had been changed when it had not. Liar. I'm embarrassed that I allowed myself to be taken in with this man's patter.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MAN! We bought a car in good faith from this man, only to find out there was an endless list of faults with it. We tried to liaise with him over the problems, but he was rude & aggressive. He couldn't be more helpful until he'd taken our money, then his ethics went out the window. Divine Cars 'showroom' is a overflow car park at the back of a pub. It is going to cost us more to make the car safe than it did to buy it.

Not sure where to start. wiy Divine Cars Aggressive, abusive and a liar. Thats just the after sales support! Trading standards are well aware of this man, He operates from a rough patch of land round the back of a pub. Researched his other cars and two of them had outstanding HPI. The list of faults went onto page 3 and the car was deemed " not fit for purpose" Save your money. Get an uber account or failing that a bus pass.. Trust me.
A lovely guy to deal with had a lovely car off him very reliable would recommend to anyone as I'm a single mum was not really sure on cars and wanted one that would last me this man helped and done exactly that for me and reassured my faith in garages
Do not buy from this guy! Was told by Divine Cars there was no issues with the car. 5 weeks after purchase the head gasket blew and told it was our own fault. He refused to fix the car and after taking it to an independent mechanic he told me it was unsafe to be on the road because of a list of faults. Fortunately the car broke down when it did and we weren't involved in an accident. The car also arrived with mouldy food in the glove compartment. I am now out of pocket by thousands of pounds which I cannot afford. He's a shady guy who knows his way around the system so beware!
Definitely would not recommend, I bought I car in 2014 off of this guy, the brakes never seemed quite right but it had just passed it's mot, by its next mot it was wrote off, the mechanic pointed out a thousand pounds worth of welding, showing me he could put his thumb through the chassis underneath, he told me the car had been subject of a dodgy mot. The mechanic (a family friend) recommended the car be scrapped and never to buy from this dealer again.
Lee Kemp in response to not happy
Interesting. The car I bought had just "passed" an MOT too and looking back now I wouldn't be surprised if it was a shady one. Not a single fault listed on the "replacement" certificate that came with the car yet a number of repairs needed very soon after purchase which would have caused it to fail.
