They had my car for a month even though they were authorised 4hr for a diagnosis, and this was for a fault they should have fixed 2yrs earlier, Absolutely useless! got it back and after a couple of miles the engine managment light on and guess what.... nothing to do with us sir
After sales manager at Douglas Park Motorrad is absolutely shocking and should be ashamed! Delivering my bike back in a state. I had an issue with errors coming up for the adaptive headlight. Phoned them up and set a date to ride in for it to be plugged in and diagnosed. I asked while I was there if someone could look into why my wheels are becoming discoloured under the surface because it’s a issue that’s been getting gradually worse since I bought it new back in April and done under 4000 miles and that it’s a issue I’ve never had on the rims ( not spokes ) of any bike I’ve owned. They checked the bike and decided to book it in for replacement headlight, faulty fuel cap and faulty cam tensioner on the left side all under warranty. They recommended collecting the bike so that they could inspect the wheels while clean as I’d just ridden 30+ miles on the coldest day of the year December 1st in -3 to -5 temperatures it didn’t come above 0 all day and touches of snow just to get it to them for diagnostic so understandably it was filthy from the roads. I agreed and on the 8th of December it was collected from my home for the work done and returned on the 13th. The After sales manager rejected the warranty claim on the wheels claiming it was “environmental” so I asked for it to be escalated to BMW UK who he then told me rejected the claim…… that’s turned out to not be true. He’s making claims that I don’t look after my bike properly. I’m pretty sure anyone who knows me will know this is far from the case. Apparently I gave them the bike dirty with salt on it! Below is photos taken in the workshop when they received it images 1-4 I think we can all say the bike looks clean other than the discolouration on the rims in 2 of the photos ? Thats how I have it to them. When the engineer delivers the bike back I asked that he take photos of them again these are photos marked Delivered 5 - 10 There’s salt on the rims and there’s oxidisation / rusting occurring on the bottom of the spokes as you can see I’ve pointed to some in red. Somehow my bike that was with them for 5 nights has come back in a worse state than when given to them and and this after sales manager is blaming me saying it was like that when they got it. Clearly not! If they look at images 1-4 that I pointed out the bikes not got salt on the rims and not in the same condition 5 night before while in their workshop. All these photos are photos taken by them without any intervention from me so they can’t dispute something or someone has messed up! To come back to me like this it’s not been looked after or stored properly that’s for sure. If I give them a clean bike with NO salt I expect the same back. He’s been dismissive of this and blaming me so I’ve escalated it to BMW UK and asked to speak with the dealer principal. These are supposed to be adventure bikes and we pay a premium for them! We also expect our property to be looked after when it’s in their care. BMW UK are reporting back to me because because they have no note on the system of them contacting regarding these wheels. BMW UK who I can’t fault this far have told me ( in their words ) “there’s inconsistency’s between what I’ve been told and what they have been told that needs investigating. If you have a BMW don’t even consider taking it here and use one of the other dealers. I’d kept this to myself but on the day of handover the bike broke down 22 miles after leaving the dealership. This was due to the wrong battery being fitted and should have been replaced due to a recall. Then at the first service (500 miles) someone left a spanned wedged between my casing and the crash bars! I didn’t notice until I was home 42 miles away this literally could have come off and killed someone or caused an accident for me. Theres many things could have happened that thankfully didn’t. I don’t regret the bike choice but I’m seriously regretting the dealer choice the lads in sales are nice but the aftersales is a shambles. I know I’m not the only one as someone else is having a similar issue.
That’s twice now I’ve had extremely poor service from Douglas Park. First in respect of the service dept in Hillington. Then when I enquired about a new BMW from the Glasgow sales team. It was awful. If I were using a word board. I would use “ Condescending, Patronising, Combative, Not Listening,”. After giving up with them I phoned Eastern Motors BMW in Edinburgh and it was like Chalk and Cheese. They were open, honest, and helpful. It’s a pity about Parks as I previously dealt with John MacLeod in the Mini section and he was exceptional having all skills mentioned in regard to Eastern
I Cant thank the team at parks HILLINGTON enough they really pulled out the stops to get me back on the road again
Booked BMW X1 in for M.O.T, front pads and rear disc and pads one week ago. Attended BMW yesterday, having left West Coast at 06.30 in order to have car in early. At 12.30 I was informed that the worked notified was required. At 3.00pm the price confirmed. My wife attended only to find car work not even started and parts only just received. The car will be ready tomorrow as no engineers available, she was informed. In which case could I please borrow a courtesy car so I could get home to West Coast. No car available. We will make your vehicle next when engineers are available. The prospect of driving 100 miles on a wet, dark November evening along one of the most dangerous roads in Scotland is not a pleasant thought, so asked for keys and returned home. The work will be carried out by a local garage and not BMW as I prefer. To finish off there was no apology from BMW at any point.

i have bought 5 cars from parks i have a 4 series sport with 3000 miles after 18 months the wheels were badly corroding bmw said it was stone chips which i bitterly disagreed with at the time the car has only done 8000 miles, I had to phone and e mails dozens of times they never return your calls and it was always me that contacted them, they finally agreed to refurbish the wheels at MY expense and refused a courtesy car as my car would be with them for 4 days attitude and treatment was disgracefull after sales pathetic
This garage is a joke, booked a recall, set a date and got confirmation letter. Day before my appointment I got a phone call saying that they are busy and can’t see me and I need to reschedule. What a service, people please avoid

I owned a BMW335d xdrive and was looking to trade it in for a BMW M340d xdrive. I looked around and found the car I liked at Douglas Park Glasgow. I got in touch with John MacLeod and we worked out a deal. I thought I would have to go to Glasgow for the car but John brought it up to Inverness for me. The hand over was very easy and I am very happy with the car.
The service I recieved from STIRLING branches been very disappointing compared to other dealerships 1.needed it's mot I had no wait 2 months no reason given,I think the service receptions doesn't feel that motorbility customers should be given the same service as regular customers!2.an engine warning light came on and told it was fine to drive and had to wait 10days to get them to look at it it's a fuel problem,They told motorbilty it would be off the road for 18days,they never had the even told me.Now I have had no word 21 days I've got a hire car no way would I get a courtesy car from them.it was bought keep the bmw for an extra 2years but I am disgusted with Parks,so my advice is if you are a motorbike customer don't go near Park's of Stirling you will be treated like a second class citizens
Tracy wells in response to Not very good with motorbility customers
I am currently having major problems with this dealership wish I had seen this before ordering our car in June 2021 still not received
After a very turmoil weekend of moving house and having my partner write my car off on the same day, BMW Douglas Park was excellent in the smooth transition from no car, to a fantastic car! Kieran helped guide me through each process, and answered all queries quickly and promptly. I highly recommend those buying cars to go through kieran due to his exception customer service. Douglas Park turned the car in 48 hours for me, and also dropped off the car too. During Covid 19 it's a funny time with buying cars without test driving them first. Douglas park ensured that I knew everything about the car, despite not seeing the car in person, giving me the confidence to change from a die-hard Jaguar Lover to now a BMW lover. Thank you to all those who helped with turning the car around so quickly, answering all my questions, and all round outstanding experience.
