Bought a 18.5k Hyundai i800. Steve who sold the vehicle initially couldn’t do enough to help, once the car sold he didn’t want to know. The most arrogant, rude little man I’ve dealt with. His attitude very quickly became confrontational and rude when a fault in the vehicle was made known to them. Was in their service centre 3 times in 3 weeks and still couldn’t fix the fault. The vehicle had clearly been sold with a fault the car had apparently been serviced and MOT’d which the DPF fault should have flagged. Obviously dodgy MOT’s been issued on their vehicles. No receipt issued for the deposit payment I made as apparently because it was a bank transfer they can’t issue a receipt. Absolute nonsense! Returned the vehicle and Steve was rude again to my wife with no apology so I took great delight in telling him what I thought of him. “An arrogant little w******” Even though they knew all the issues with the vehicle and the DPF needing replaced the car was back on sale within 10 minutes of returning. They are clearly acting fraudulent with the warranty company they use not only ripping customers off with overpriced vehicles but billing the warranty company for repairing vehicles sold with faults.

Found the car we wanted and Steve was spot on no hard sell and couldn’t do enough to make the whole transaction as easy as possible
Picked up new car today great service from Steve colley nothing was to much trouble 5 star service
Found the car we were looking for and dealt with Steve who could not do enough for us, he was very informative and explained in detail everything we needed to know about our chosen vehicle. Once the deal was done he ensured the car was presented to us valeted and ready to go, he took us through the paperwork and left us with nothing to do other than shake his hand and head off into the sunset. Will definitely use Douglas Paul again and hold out for Steve if we have to.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: Our Experience with Douglas Paul The Good After finding what we thought was our dream car, we traveled 2 1/2 hours to view and purchase it. The team at Douglas Paul, particularly James, who sold us the car, was very polite and professional. The lady in accounts was also courteous and helpful. The Bad When we picked up the car and started our drive home, the engine warning light came on, along with a light indicating limited performance. Initially, Douglas Paul was very accommodating, picking up the vehicle and providing us with a courtesy car. However, the courtesy car was a 3-door, which was challenging for our family of five. After two weeks of numerous phone calls and our car still not being ready, they eventually provided us with a slightly bigger car. Nearly four weeks after our purchase, the car was due to be delivered back to us, but the fault reappeared, preventing the delivery. The Ugly While we understand that these issues can occur, the most frustrating part of our experience was dealing with Johnathon, a manager at Douglas Paul. He was the rudest, most patronizing person we have ever spoken to. His manner alone is why we would not recommend this garage.
Worked here 2 days as a Valeter considering I had the mechanics telling me I’m a grafter and we’ll done youd expect to be paid your wage but no payment has been made on top of this they’ve very high demands on quality to say there valet bay roof leaks and leaves marks on the cars it’s too dark to see inside the car you need a head torch and you can’t even get cloths dry or cleaned very basic set up would avoid

Bought a mini from Douglas paul. Day 3 of having the car , engine management light came on. Got AA out to read it , 15 faults !! Phoned dp and they said we'd have to book it in with their servicing team . We git it on finance so contacted them and they advised us to get it read at another garage, as we needed evidence if we were to return the car. As we were still within the 30 days , we had every right to return it . Got it read again and yep , 15 faults ! Dp were being awkward with yhr finance company, saying nobody was available to talk to them and was ignoring emails. We got a health check on yhe car and they found the brake calipers were knackered , the stop start wasn't working and a tyre had kurb damage. The finance company was more than happy and said we now had more than enough evidence to return the car . Guess what , dp was still being awkward! The guy from finance company sent them one final email and they finally accepted the car back . We got our deposit refunded. We returned the car on the Sunday and on Monday it was back up for sale !! No way had they fixed all those faults , it was late afternoon when we dropped it off. Stay clear of these . They're dishonest people . AVOID AVOID AVOID

The car was back up for sale the next day and then quickly sold as it was a very nice vehicle. Needless to say the car has never been back with any issues from its new owner and they are over the moon with there purchase.

Went to view car when it was raining not ideal I know but the salesman said if you leave a deposit and look at it tomorrow and don’t want it he will refund deposit. that wasn’t a dry day either but the car looked well so we bought it wasn’t till we got home that we noticed a chip in windscreen we phoned and asked them if they would pay or at least give half the payment to get it fixed as the car wasn’t cheap but they point blank refused and they knew the car had to be safe as we have young twins they waste money putting new plates on so you can advertise their business for them avoid avoid avoid only want your money

Brought a car from them flat battery day after happened twice more .when back to complain .basically I was told it was my fault had to loose a shit incase it happened again . .I was told it would be middle of June before I could have a hire car crap after sales service I will never buy from them again so beware

I have bought a couple of cars now, and will continue to be a repeat customer a fab team, so friendly without the hard sell attitude of others, , always feel looked after, their afters sales are second to none, I highly recommend.
