Bought my first Porsche from Dove House. The intention on visiting was not to buy straight away but to shop around a bit, after all it's a serious purchase! Didn't need to as it turned out, the way the cars were presented, protected indoors and the feel of the experience kind of sold us there and then. Sales chap , Simon, was super easy to deal with, no hard sell just a genuine feeling of good old fashioned advice and help. I don't like pushy salesmen, I tend to walk if it feels that way. But no, top man to deal with really helped to make it seem that we were potentially joining a family of car ownership. It was a pleasure to spend, to me, a lot of money and feel it was worth it. Nice company, very impressed. If I buy another in the future I'll be back there. Highly recommend.

I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed in my experience with Dove House. It was a very protracted experience over the course of three months where I feel I gave them ample opportunity to address the issues that I raised, but in the end they were not able to do so. The main issue centred around a spot of lacquer peel on the nose. It was not spotted by myself, my friend nor a Dove House representative when I went to view the car (the car was viewed both inside and outside in daylight as well as briefly driven). Nor is this blemish visible in any of the sales images for the vehicle. In the intervening two weeks before I collected the car, new tyres were fitted, the car MOT'd and valeted, but they are insistent that there is no way that the lacquer peel on the nose was not there two weeks previously - based on what evidence I am not sure...? Upon collection, as soon as the car was driven outside the peeling lacquer spot was immediately visible. This was raised with the salesman who was very quick to reassure me that they would be able to do something about that and I should carry on and enjoy new car day. However, this is where the communication ceased, they now became very hard to get hold of by phone or email and really didn't want to know me any more (short version is I should not have driven the car away). The communication from this point was very poor. It seemed as though they would do/say anything to get you off the phone or off the premises and then never deliver on anything they promised. I was told someone would call me back on a specific day about 3 or 4 times and it never happened, leaving me chasing them on numerous occasions. It was a similar story with emails. If you would expect 24 or 48 response times to be reasonable, well don't get your hopes up, in my experience I was lucky to get one email a week. After a very drawn out back and forth I gave them one final chance to make it right. Despite the fact that they agreed that they did not notice this patch of lacquer peel when I viewed the car, and the fact that they were quick to say they could do something about it to ensure I drove the car away, they are now insistent that they are going to do nothing to resolve the issue. They also agreed that if I had refused to take the car then they would have done something about it. Morals of the story here - don't believe a word they say and if you have any doubt do not drive the car away - better still, avoid altogether.

This was my first Porsche Boxster purchase and I won't be going anywhere else in the future bar Dove Motor Company. Excellent service - professional and personal. Superb knowledge of the cars and nothing was too much trouble. I was looking for a manual Boxster and as soon as one came in Chris contacted me to arrange a test drive. Everything was handled smoothly and efficiently - certainly would recommend this team to anyone

I recently bought a Porsche Cayman S from Dove House and there level of Customer Service was excellent. They know Porsche’s inside out and the car looks like new when though it’s 6 years old. Their 110 point vehicle check gave me the confidence that the car was in first class condition. They are a pleasure to deal with and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you are buying a Porsche or performance car go to Dove House !

I have just bought my third car from Dove House ( a Cayman S ) and their customer service and knowledge of Porsche in particular is second to none. The car was thoroughly checked over with their 110 point check and looked like brand new when I collected it ( it is 6 years old ). If you want a Porsche or other performance car go to Dove House - you won’t be disappointed !

Having decided I wanted a porsche panamera turbo and spending hours on the Internet as my usual place (dove house) didnt have any initially. Then a quick look at their site on Friday night and there she was! Mint condition, fully loaded and carbon trim.. I was there Saturday! This is my 4th porsche from dove house motors, the service is excellent, nothing like a car dealership..... Cars are always great condition and well priced. I always use them for purchase and then to look after my cars I guess its the trust that's built up over the last 8yrs.

Buying a car is always a challenge! First you have to find the right car, then you have to negotiate the right package! i have to say the dove house team have made the experience a real pleasure. Excellent service, knowledgable and reliable staff whoever dealt with.

I bought a Porsche Boxster recently, and have been very pleased with it. Its my third car from Dove House, and I also use the workshop despite it being an hours drive for me. I get well looked after by knowledgeable people and the prices are very fair. There's a new shopping centre over the road with restaurants for a good lunch too !

I went to see a 992 there the other day. Surprisingly a bit rough around the edges. They'd borrowed a piece from it for another car, switches missing, broken light lens and hood problems. But, they promised to fix the issues (except the £700 lens) so we agreed a deal bang on the ticket price (no discounts). On top I also wanted some more bits doing to the car. When I came to pay they just wanted the money within 7 days - bear in mind things needed doing to the car. I gave them several payment options. Large cash deposit, up to 50% and the rest to follow in cash when I had released the remaining money (normally more than 7 days from my particular account). Or, most in cash and remaining on credit card (I'm always happy to pay the fee for this on top). But, their computer said NO! I almost found myself begging for the car they had agreed to sell me and I clearly had the funds for. To save myself further embarrassment I had to walk away. I've never experienced such bizarre attitude before to someone selling something. It has left me dumbfounded. There are lots of good dealers selling good cars - I'd try them first.

All companies have their own policies, however it is quite normal for motor traders to request payment within 7 days, or within the month at the very least. It was explained to you that we are a small business that relies heavily on cash flow, which is the reason for the policy, which has been in place for the last 16 years without issue. If you had mentioned to us before you travelled that you were unable to make payment until the beginning of the following month (3 weeks away) then we would have saved you the trouble. However you only mentioned this after test drive/negotiations and looking round the car for some time. You only mentioned other methods of payment the day after and although you may be willing to pay a credit card fee it is illegal to charge a transaction fee, although we don't accept credit cards anyway. I find it disappointing and malicious that from someone who runs a small marketing business yourself that you would go out of your way to write negative reviews on various platforms simply because you weren't able to adhere to our policy.
