I’m in the similar situation of you with this guy Did you ever get a resolve because I’m taking to the small claims court over it. I’ve just also found out that in 2019 he had two stop business and re-register it is business due to this sort of behaviour
What can i say about this absolute joke of a garage? here we go... i bought on the strength of the reviews. drove to luton 150 miles for what seemed a good deal on a car with 3 months warranty. ill hold my hands up that i should have checked it better but... i got home first problem within a couple of days the engine management light was on. then the only fault i had pointed out when i picked it up and thought it was likely just an adjustment turned out to be rear brake calipers were seized after they tried to cover it up. i took a video and sent it to them of the vehicle rolling backwards down a hill with the handbrake fully applied. they asked me to get it assessed... took it to halfords. they couldnt assess it as it had no wheel locking nut remover and they pointed out 2 wheel nuts were missing!! i had then to take it to another garage to take off locking wheel nuts without the adaptor to take it back to halfords once it had wheel nuts. halfords then told me the rear brake callipers were seized. i passed the phone while in halfords to the Drive right so they know its not something i made up. in the meantime ive had to take the car to another 2 garages urgently for the engine management light which turns out to be an excessive build up of carbon. i leave the print outs in the car and then Drive Right Luton knowingly sent a member of their staff to DRIVE my car with rear brake callipers seized 150 miles to be repaired...then drove it back! they were supposed to fix the management light. it came back with it on. they told me they had changed the rear brake callipers... the car started getting faults slowly getting worse with what looked like the same fault again. so fed up of the faults i took it to a main dealer. within 6-8 weeks of them 'changing rear brake callipers' it needed 2 more! i had a quote from Mazda for over 2000 to put right the dodgy car they sold me. now they want to mediate and give me only nearly 2000 less for the car i got from them faulty. caused me nothing but grief. lost days at garage because they wouldnt fix. avoid this very dodgy company and at the very least take a mechanic if you want to risk buying from this dodgy dealer. lucky for me i have tons of proof and i am now going to go to trading standards and the police for not only endangering me but his staff and members of the public AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hi, with what car did that happened? I have the same problem with a mazda 6 2.2 diesel blue from 2014 same bought from drive right Luton, please let me a response as i’m now aswell trying to return the car and get the refound
craig barrows in response to Avoid at all costs
I only forced the return within the last week. Word of warning.. If its less than 30 you are entitled to a full refund so I would return soon. After you need to negotiate or take to small claims court as they are entitled to milage compensation for the miles you have used. I obviously can't write here the reg but it is a blue mazda. Speak through the AA if need be as we can probably discuss through them as they are acting as mediation for me. Don't wait more than 30 days if you think there's a problem... Just return get a full refund and move on I also noticed there seems to be people leaving '' good'' feedback who say.... Come to drive right Luton as if they work there... I don't think there reviews are as unbiased as I first thought

Hi Sarah... All I can suggest is as per the previous reply. Report him to the AA. He uses their name and so mediate through them. Return it if you can. I'm hoping the AA discard him once it is settled as they should want no dealings with this company. If your within 30 days and have faults you're within your rights to return
Adrian Madalin Cojocaru in response to Avoid at all costs
Hi, i just find out that you were the previous keeper.your name is on the previous v5. I have bought the same car, the car is with him now and i’m in talks with him for the refund.
craig barrows in response to Avoid at all costs
Just remember if its less than a month you're entitled to a full refund and he has no say in it. Complain to the AA. Let them know he is again trying to pass the car off as roadworthy. Although he promised to refund me and I returned at added cost to return I am still waiting for my refund. He has 14 days by law but I'm half expecting he won't to make me take him to court. He is trying to use the excuse I didn't give him the service history back even though I sent him a screen shot of the email of me asking for it as he never gave it. The AA are aware of this and promised to call me Monday and they are failing to live up to their promises either. This garage still owes me 4650 and to think I'm over 2k down for the misery they put me through is an insult even if he pays. The owner seems to take pleasure from ripping people off and playing the rules in his favour..there is no customer service and the AA do not protect you. Don't back down and make sure you only take a full refund. I am shocked the AA as associated with a garage like this knowing they give cover and their name. All this at a time my dad passed away. He even emailed me over again when I told him not to after he asked to go through the AA as I didn't want the stress. This man and garage really are the lowest of the low

I asked him for a full refund, he owe me 5615 £, he only try do delay me as is just asking me about the AA breakdown report. He breached the trading standards as he sold the car two times with issues wich he knew about. I will go forward and tomorrow i will go in contact with one solicitor, as i can prove that he breach the agreement the only who can lose is him. Please if you can contact me on whatsapp at this number: 07438128266, we are in the same problem with the same car… i will be very happy if you want to contact me, thank you!

I am going through something very similar right now. The stop/start light came on the day after purchase but was reassured that is was just cold and it would go away. It didn't and the car entered limp mode. I took it to my garage and the lights went away and no codes had been left when they tried the diagnostics. I carried on driving the car and the lights stayed off....until Christmas eve, 22 days after purchase when there was an awful smell, then i lost ABS, brakes went, engine management light came on. In fact every light on the dashboard came on, the radio went off and eventually all power went. I ended up getting towed to my local garage (drive right Luton is about 5hrs away) They have questioned everything since, they firstly said there was no problem with the car and i was to stop complaining (because the garage could not find a fault- due to it not turning on!) and then, after weeks of arguing, he verbally agreed to refund the money if i got the car back to them . £550 later the car is with them, and it magically works. except it doesn't, i can see in the video he sent the warning lights are still flickering because there isn't enough power. He then told me to come and get the car because there was nothing wrong with it. He has the car and my money now but today has offered me £3100 for the car, which is £350 less than i paid for it. So in total I have lost £1050 in transporting the car to and from my home plus £350 for the use of the car for 22 days = £1400 lost and no car to show for it! DO NOT BUY from this barely legal garage! I have no idea how he is still endorsed by the AA or allowed to advertise in the autotrader but I am trying my hardest to stop this. I have also raised a claim with trading standards.

Also finding out about this dealership anybody interested in taking this dealership down if we all hit him together with a small claims court for the costs he has mounted up, he will be forced to close his business. He did that in 2019, due to being taken to court and had to re-register his business business in 2021 The amount of People is done this too is disgusting absolutely awful I took him on good faith. I’ve got an independent mechanic to Check the car and do a full report. If you won’t give back the money, I’m taking him to the small claim court
Waiting to have a windscreen pipe replaced so as I was promised potential needs to check everything is working as they should even central locking
After travelling to view the vehicle they are very friendly let me test drive the car, im not a mechanic so the car seemed fine. After buying the car and getting on the motorway, all red warning lights came on and after pulling into services there was a slow leaking tyre and rear light out after i had specifically said i would only buy if the light was fixed and i trusted them and didnt double check. Took to family mechanic to be told that the radiator fan was broken, oil seals around the engine were leaking oil, ac not working and belt tensioner fitted wonky. I will receipts to prove these repairs. How can this place be AA approved ? Consumer watchdog needs to investigate this company, fake mot's. Endangering the lives of the car buyers and their families. Im not looking for a refund as i am repairing the car but you have been warned, this dodgy company must be investigated.

7 Seater car brought from these crooks and started having issues straight away. parts of the wiring looking to have been bypassed and it has broken down several times with very young children and left us out of pocket. Car is dangerous.
Brought a Vauxhall Mokka 1.4t 4x4 back in April. We took it for a test drive and thought it drove well and it was well presented and a good buy at £7300. The dealer was very polite and helped us through the process. He did inform is that he thought there was a problem with the bearing which he will get his mechanic to fix. One week later we picked up the car and paid him the full amount. From then it all went downhill when driving it home, we noticed a strong vibration over 50 mph. I called the dealer and he told me that his mechanic told him that this will settle down after a while. After 3 days, I took it back to the dealership for them to resolve. A day later they brought it back and it was still not fixed. Went to see them in person and to ask for a refund. They asked to have the car back again and I agreed to drop the car off on a specified day but on turning up at the dealership, there was nobody there and no answer on the phone. I expressed my annoyance and requested a refund. He refused and asked for the car to be looked at by his mechanic. I raised a complaint with AA Cars and they were unable to get the dealer to agree to any mediation. We decided with the help of my brother who is an experienced mechanic to buy a new prop shaft @£500 to replaced the damaged one. Taking out the old prop shaft we could see how inept the mechanic was as he basically hammered the prop shaft to try and realign it. Putting the new propshaft in made a big difference. You can see the result of this bodge job at https://www.mokkaownersclub.co.uk/threads/mokka-1-4t-4x4.9498/post-101626 I'm raising this as I believe the dealer to be not adhering to the AA Code of Conduct that he has signed up and displayed on his website.

Bought a car here last year from a friendly and helpful man and was told they had just done a service to change the oil and filters and they had checked the cambelt had been changed as it was due, and that all servicing had been done. I haven't used the car much due to the pandemic, took it in to a dealership for a health check as it is starting to play up - it turns out the engine is clogged due to the oil and filters being in for several years, as well as the cambelt is rubbing and about to break as it is well overdue its change. This will cost more than the worth of the car to fix - so I'm out of pocket by £3.5k. I'm aware buying second hand is always a gamble but being actively lied to is particularly galling.

Unhappy customer in response to Don't take at face value!
Interesting read. I bought a car from them 2 weeks ago with 'full service history and checks'. For piece of mind I took it to my reliable garage for a health check who told me the cambelt change is 4 years overdue! I'm frankly terrified of driving it until I can get the work done in a couple of weeks. If it breaks it'll be £2k. Driveright continually fobbed me off with 'wear and tear' and now no longer answer my calls. Furious😡
Amazing service, great people and great prices. Willing to negotiate. All cars in amazing condition. Highly recommend.
