DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! We have taken them to court already for selling us an unsafe, unroadworthy vehicle. Won our case through the small claims court but he refuses to pay! We are still out of pocket! Anyone thinking of buying a car from this company - DON'T!! Birmingham Trading Standards have said if they receive enough complaints they could take them to court. If you have a complaint against them I urge you to contact Trading Standards on: T: 0121 303 9159 Birmingham City Council, Trading Standards, PO Box 16586, Birmingham, B33 3EH.
Went to Driveline on the weekend just for a quick browse as they had a few nice cars on the website. was shocked when i got there they had cars i could only dream of not sure where they source these cars from but they do have some amazing machines! i was very surprised with how humble these guys are and like all other dealerships they don't have very pushy salesman they let me look around a few that i was interested in and i was that pleased i ended up driving away in a very nice high spec Audi S3. Only downside was two wheels were slightly marked but they booked it in for me with a mobile repair and will be sorted on Sunday on my day off perfect!
Now where do I start.. I found a nice golf r32 on driveline website. The car was described as near pristine condition.. Full dealer history 3 keys. As I had been in the market for quite a while searching for the right r32 I knew this was priced really well for the spec. Me and my wife sat up reading about the awful reviews. It was a exactly what I wanted so after Giving the place thr benefit of doubt we travelled 150 miles to view the car with fingers crossed hoping it wasn't so bad. Yes the place looks a bit shady compared to the upmarket pictures and value of the stock but after all it is Birmingham so fair play to these guys for running such a upmarket stocked car business there. The car was definitely pristine condition in fact a lot better than I thought after all people we are shopping at second hand car garage for used cars so I did expect defects of a car that's been used and driven 1000's of miles on our roads. The guys are young lads but friendly and seems like it's there own business so fair play. The buying experience was wonderful, the car was perfect I paid £1000 less than any other r32 with this spec. 6 weeks later a trip back to driveline resulted in my wife buying a Mini Cooper. All I can say is some of these reviews must be fake or competition playing dirty tricks or out of 20 they sell 1 or 2 might unfortunately develop defects but isn't that a secondhand car for you ? Give them a try guys !

Au contraire pal. It is your review that is the exception. All I have spoken to have had an awful and costly experience. It's good that the company submits its own reviews though, wouldn't want the truth getting out there.
I can only empathise with these reviews about Driveline Sports And Performance. Without time to go into details I bought a very nice Civic Type R, which I still have. However I must say that these guys are clearly not trustworthy. Mine had several issues needing corrective action including battery, tyres, service, spare wheel etc and Driveline failed to keep to their promise to settle the costs. After being on the wrong end of incredibly rude disrespectful after sales I took advice from citizens advice, submitted a money claim online through HM Justice for a reduction in value, got a CCJ against them, instructed bailiffs who today have with Police support removed one of their vehicles to auction to recover my costs. Only now have they started to take the matter seriously but its too late. I would urge others to do the same but beware as the bailiffs advised me they were subject to threatening and racist abuse. I don't say any of this lightly but their attitude is completely unacceptable in a civilised society.
I went to driveline sports and performance, to look at car with high mileage. I was told that only one person ever drive this car and it was a company car, with that information I decided to put a deposit on the car. I then find out that two people have owned the car. then I read the site report and saw a lot of negative report. decided these people cant be trusted. I went back for deposit stated I was mislead about the previous owners and wanted my money back but I was told I will never get it back not today not tomorrow nor in the future. BE WARNED , DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN PERIL.
I spotted a nice looking 2004 BMW 330cd on Autotrader within budget that had some lovely looking photos and some desirable equipment. I checked out Driveline's website and it looked very professional with some high end cars listed for many tens of thousands of pounds all photographed in nice looking surroundings. I decided I wanted to view the car and made an appointment to do so the following day. I turned up on time at what I can only describe as a large shed down some god forsaken back street in the centre of Birmingham, it wasn't anywhere near the sort of set up I had imagined. I walked into the indoor showroom (shed) and quickly found the car. Now bearing in mind that I had made an appointment you would imagine an effort would have been made to make sure the car was ready for viewing, but no.... the battery was completely flat and the car wasn't even clean. After some faffing about the car was started and I got a chance to have a good look round it. It looked pretty tidy for an 11 year old car, one or two spots of rust, some wear on the seats, not too bad at all. I asked for a test drive and we set out onto the streets of Birmingham - not the best place for a test drive with its 30mph speed limits and heavy traffic! I picked up on a rattle coming from underneath the car and a faulty 12v socket but that was all so I made the decision I wanted the car. After a bit of bartering and agreeing a price on my trade In I left happy with the deal and with the promise that the rattle and the cigarette lighter socket would be fixed when I picked the car up the following week. This is where it all goes very very wrong.... I turn up on time to collect the car and the dealer is shut. I try phoning the landline number, unsurprisingly no one answers, so I try the mobile number but it's switched off. So I sit there for 40 minutes until someone turns up, and when he does he doesn't appologise! Rude!! He goes to get my car from 'round the corner' (a bit wierd) and is gone another 10 minutes while I stand outside waiting like a complete Norman. Eventually my new car pulls up with a familiar rattling noise coming from it. I ask him why it hasn't been fixed and am told that after two trips to the workshop the source of the rattle couldn't be found. I ask for money off but am told no, but if the repair comes to a substantial amount they will cover it. I am also told that the car has been thoroughly inspected and is in good working order. I reluctantly agree and we go and exchange money and sign paperwork. With all that done I climb into my new rattling BMW looking forward to my 60 mile trip home, I turn the key and nothing happens. I assume the battery is flat and head back inside for some help. The guy (I never did get his name but I think he was the owner) comes to try starting the car and it magically bursts into life. So I turn it off and try it again, nothing. 'You're not supposed to wait for the glow plug light, just turn the key straight away' he says (obviously complete horse manure I know) so I do it and it starts. At this point I should have never driven out and asked for this to be fixed, but with the deal done and my old car traded in I decided to just head home and sort it out later. So I drive home and as soon as I get to a decent speed I realise that there are more problems. The car vibrates badly and wonders all over the road causing me to crawl along the M40 at 50mph all the way home. The brakes also judder and the tyre pressure monitor light comes on. 'Great' I think, 'what the hell have I done?'. The next day I take it to my local and completely trusted garage for an oil service and to be checked out and am told it needs 4 new tyres as they're warped and worn unevenly, front brake discs as they were warped, new brake back plates (the source of the rattle), new glow plugs and glow plug control unit (starting problem) and a new coolant fan as it had seized up, all totalling a rather unpleasant £1500. Joy. I have made contact with Driveline and aired my greviences and to ask for a contribution towards my repair bill but am being told that the car supplied to me was in good working order and I'm getting nothing and that I'm lying and just trying to get money from them. Have supplied copies of repair bill and now they have stopped replying. Next stop Trading Standards I suppose.
