Driveline Sports and Performance are dodgy as!!! They were trying to sell a fiesta that would have definitely been a cat b, with no mention of any damage, avoid!
I brought a car from these guys a while back now. It was a category d ...apparently fully repaired and warrantable. I took the car two days after purchase to my local mechanic as it just didn't feel right when driving. Turns out the front had been in a bad smash and had actually buckled the chassis which hadn't been properly repaired. The repairs that had been done were a bodge job and my mechanic deemed it dangerous and said it shouldn't be on the road. These guys will happily take your money but didn't want to know...2 days after purchase!!
Mr Smith in response to Avoid at all costs
Hi Sorry to hear of your problem, Word of warning to anyone thinking of buying a car from these...dont, walk away, none of the cars are what they seem.....They also advertise cars they dont have or own just to look BIG. I had similar a problem very next day! They never discuss the problem wont offer to fix it even wont get in touch with warranty people or offer to help in any way, never answer calls, they got my money now go away is their attitude. My advice.................. take them to court to reclaim your money!! I am, they will be hearing soon, want any help what to do how to do it.
Buyer beware! Happily take your car & money! But totally unhelpful in rectifying numerous issues after purchase! Cant believe the way they act/ don't act & are happy to have trading standards/ bailiffs paying them a visit!
I was very interested in buying a vehicle advertised on Auto-trader after waiting 2 days for a response from my email enquiry, i called them. I asked to view the car on a Saturday, they advised this wasn't possible because it was going in for an MOT on Monday...(not sure why i couldn't view it) ... I then confirmed the price with them over the phone and agreed to come Monday evening with a view to buy if all was okay. When i called on Monday to confirm that i would see them around 6pm... they advised as the car passed its MOT they have put the price up by approx 40% !!!!! ... Very dishonest.
Given 3 weeks to get the car ready for collection after taking a deposit of £1000, so turn up on the day and the cars not there we are told it will be back in 10 minutes, we wait an hour in this dodgy looking place with these, we find the car round the corner on a ramp so we ask the mechanic who was an honest guy to show us the car, he shows us the tracking is out and the wishbone is completely bent SHOCKING!!! So after going against their word saying the car will be ready apparently they are keeping the deposit and have acted in a threatening manner! Disgusted by these people, avoid them 100%.
Driveline Sports And Performance sold me a Cupra with dangerous faults costing me all in £5000 to put right!!
Saw a Mercedes on Autotrader. Looked like a great deal, and the photos confirmed the car was in good condition and clean. I was in the area, so popped in to see the car. Couldn't find a salesman for 10 minutes. When I eventually did, he showed me to the car, buried at the back of the outdoor lot. It was parked under a tree, covered in leaves and tree sap. The bonnet wasn't closed flush, but the dealer insisted it hadn't been in an accident. Dealer seemed to have zero interest in the sale, wandered off to find the keys and came back 10 minutes later. Battery was totally flat, so the central locking didn't even work. Generally had a bad feeling about the dealership (not helped by witnessing another worker sweeping up dead rats around the yard) so I walked away.
I can not say BUYER BEWARE loudly enough, they will part you from your hard earned cash, sell you an unsafe vehicle and then ignore you when the car breaks down. Very bad experience overall, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM EVER!

I was in the market for a Golf R32. I came across the website and seen one that was within my budget. I called them asking a few questions and all I got was all the info is on the website. I asked if I left a deposit and did not match the description would I get a refund and was advised yes. I however did not put down a deposit. I drove down the following day and like many reviewers I found the place to be like some shed in some run down back Street area. It's nothing like the area you see in the pictures. I go inside and I am amazed by the machines they have in this shed. Some cars in their easily cost 100k. I spot the golf which is surrounded by all the other cars. it took half an hour for the owner to come see me. No apology no customer service. I told him I was interested in the golf and told me to go upstairs to talk business. I told him I wouldn't pay for the car without driving it myself. The lighting in the shed is absolutely poor i had to use my torch on my phone to look at the car properly. It took another hour to get the car out as half the cars did not start. The owner accompanied me and was driving it around. When I asked to drive it he took me down to streets and back to the shed. I was in two minds to buy this car but the engine on the r32 is a beauty and I was sold by the sound. I also purchased the so called warranty which is supposedly meant to cover the engine and gearbox. I left and about 15 mins later the car started having problems. The clutch would get stuck at the bottom every time I changed gear. I had to lift it back up again with my foot and being a manual this is downright dangerous. The engine was free raving it self to about 2k revs when idle and once I need enough to my house the tyre burst and when examined I found a crowbar in it and also found a packet of condoms in the money pocket of the car. The switch to open to fuel lid did not work which explained why their had been paint missing their. When I called the owner and told him about the engine he advised it was my fault as I had put in diesel. I got into an argument with him about this and when I said I had the receipt to show I had put in she'll unleaded v power he put the phone down. I was a young man at the time and I didn't know what to do and having spent almost my entire budget on the car I did not want to spend further money on fixing the car. I then sold the car to a trader 3 weeks later and lost 3k on it. I wish I had taken these to court to recover my costs but it's to late now. Anyone who has bought a car from them and is in my position you can go to a small claims court. I can guarantee these clowns won't attend you can then get bailiffs involved. I am surprised I haven't seen these guys come on BBC watchdog yet. Anyone who has given these guys higher then one star is no one but the owners themselves. I can only hop you guys will get whats coming to you.
I have purchased from Driveline in the last month. Purchase process from start to finish excellent. No hard sell. All cars clearly priced with specifications and mileage. The price you see is the price you pay. Sam sorted test drives nothing was too much trouble. Will use again...
