Bought a car from Dunway cars. Lovely car but, before purchase they said they will do full valet and service. Two days later phone call from them saying car is ready for collection. Came up,yes car is gleaming. Done paper work but noticed there is no stamp in service book. Took the car to different garage same day and my friend showed me dirty air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter and dirty oil so surprise surprise, service never been done as promised....
Staff wat Dunway Cars were great, got a cheap wee 4x4 for circa 2k even helped getting an auto electrician to install the tow bar electrics.

Purchased a Fiat Doblo 6 weeks ago from Dunway Cars. Received a 30 warranty. Developed a problem with clutch 2 weeks after the warranty had expired. Andy offered to share the cost of repairs or since a live some distance away offered to meet some of the costs. Very happy with both car and after sales service.
Still waiting for my refund from Dunway Cars. Bought car 2 weeks ago today, after 3 days problem with gears, wouldn't go into 1st, instead went straight into reverse, nice. Especially when sitting at traffic lights with cars behind you. Andy advised couldn't pick it up, too busy and tow truck in Elgin. We brought it over and were assured fixed and no more problems. MMMM day 14 and driving out of city centre clutch went. Rush hour so lovely. Again, they couldn't pick it up as surprise surprise tow truck in Elgin!!! Thankfully we're members of RAC so they came and got us. Andy refused return and refund, got very abusive, shouting, defensive really! Finally grudging agreement to take car back and refund, within our legal rights so I'm unsure why they thought they didn't have to, car given back with promise of refund but alas still no refund. Thankfully friend works in the car trade and has given me great advice on next action but really wish I had seen these reviews first. My 5yr old grandson is always in the car with me and I am terrified as to what could have happened with him in it. Dreadful company, dreadful experience and I urge everyone to stay clear. PS our service history has Arnold Clark stamps too with no receipts!
Absolute pleasure to deal with. I bought a Renault Laguna from them a few months ago. I have had no issues with it at all and it was in immaculate condition when I received it. The dealers were happy to help and very friendly. The car was an excellent price and I would buy from them again.

Absolutely shocking, car not as described and warranty covers nothing! Car was found to be in a dangerous condition and should never have passed an MOT. Avoid at all costs

Hi there, I'm having similar issues did you get anywhere trying for a refund off these clowns? Many thanks.

**APOLOGY** Please ignore my previous comments regarding Dunway Cars, I am not often proved wrong but my initial comments regarding their service were unjust and uncalled for. The issues I experienced have all been since resolved very professionally by the dealer.

From the Original Ben Millington To the organ grinder (Andy) and his monkey (Liam) I suppose you two clowns thought you were very clever by setting up a false account in my name and recanting my original post. Unfortunately for you, your disgusting reputation is now common knowledge and widespread throughout the internet so much so that one of your latest potential victims who knows me asked me if I did recant my original post. I DID NOT WRITE THE SECOND POST!!! So who had something to gain by pretending I did??? Fortunately you do not pay a subscription to THIS site (www.cardealerreviews.co.uk) so you are not permitted to delete the honest unfavourable reviews, unlike your wildly contrasting reviews on Autotrader where you simply claim to Autotrader that the bad ones are not verified and Autotrader deletes them so you keep paying your subscription and keep what appears to be all good reviews. P.S You are not fooling anyone by writing your own excellent reviews on here claiming what lovely helpful guys you are as they stand out like a blind cobblers thumb. I know for a fact that I have now stopped at least two car sales of yours so I hope that the loss of several thousand pounds in sales is worth refusing to refund everyone’s ‘fully refundable’ deposits.
Car advertised as in excellent condition while in fact it would not even be worth buying for parts, just a pile of rubbish. Dealer pushing sale and aggressive when pointing out obvious faults. I'd never buy anything from them. Hope dealers like that would cease to exist.
I am happy overall with my experience with Dunway cars. I bought a Vauxhall Astra back in July. The car was clean and in very good condition and I have had a few issues but nothing that hasn't been resolved eventually. The dealer was quite helpful and knew his stuff. I would probably recommend this dealership.

I bought a car from here a couple months ago after seeing it advertised online. Car was clean inside and not too bad outside although it did have a fair amount of stone chips and horrendous "touch up" areas which I wish I had inspected clearer before purchasing. Had Liam deal with everything, who at first seemed really nice and helpful but soon after I felt a bit pushed into placing a deposit after having a test drive. I came back a few days later to pick it up, and my mum came along and was browsing the cars and asking Liam about them, but all he seemed to car about was getting the payment for my car. Almost stopping my mum in mid sentence to get paid. Anyway, took car home and less than 2 weeks later the clutch slipped, luckily under warranty! So I took it back (broke down on motorway and had to get it towed there) and it got fixed and ready to collect next day. Which I was more than happy with as it could have been longer, although the courtesy car he gave me in the mean time genuinely seemed like his personal car. It was rank inside, had rubbish everywhere, the tracking was off and I even found a mouldy toothbrush in the boot after driving it home! The fuel gauge was knackered as it was half full, then it was almost empty, and on my way to fill up it went back up to half full. So I had to put in a fair amount of diesal to make sure I didn't get stranded. The only reason I took the car was because i live 60 miles from the dealership and didn't have any other choice as 'this was the only one' and he also wouldn't show me that this courtesy car was covered by their insurance, so for all I know I could have been driving it illegally! Complained to him about it when I went to pick my car up and he claimed there was nothing wrong with the car, the fuel gauge was fine and that it is never off the road hence the dirty state. Was genuinely horrified at his cheek to basically call me a liar. I then took my car and went away, only to find out that my radio had been locked in safe mode (by the mechanic I'm assuming) and they didn't even have the balls to say anything about it. I had to spend 25 quid at Ford to get it out of safe mode. 2 months on and I have had to get 2 wheel bearings done at over 200 quid, and now my brakes need looked at due to a horrendous clunking noise that has happened once or twice when applying the brakes, causing them to be extremely less effective than they should be and steering wheel or rack needs checking as well due to vibrating vigorously when braking hard. I will never look at another ad with the words Dunway Cars again let alone buy again or recommend to anyone. I would say iv had a better experience than others but who's to say the car won't die on me soon. I wish I had found this site before buying! Honestly don't even give them the benefit of the doubt. Don't think 'oh that won't happen to me'. Just don't! Even if they do have a few cars that are spot on and great, these idiots don't deserve your money. There ads might seem interesting and look good but do yourself a favour and look somewhere else. Or it may come at a price.
I wish I had found this site before i bought my car from dunway cars. came up to view it, was described as perfect etc. got there and was told somone cleaning the car had damaged the LCD screen, but they could get that fixed easy as they had contacts etc. said it would take 2 - 3 days, one day for fitting and a day each for delivery. fast forward 2 weeks and about a dozen phone calls to andy (all of them were always "ill phone you back at 2 oclock today - never did, not once did he return a call) and still no car. eventually he told me he couldnt get it done, but agreed to knock some money off before the purchase. in the time it took for him to not sort the lcd screen he left it parked on a country road outside the garage where the windscreen got cracked. nice. that got sorted - more waiting. finally got the car. it lasted 5 days before it wouldnt start. contacted andy - More "yeah ill phone you back later" i didnt bother again, was too tired and frustrated with false promises. I had to buy a new battery myself. decided then it was a waste of time talking to dunway as they werent interested in helping. then had more issues with it 2 weeks later - there was all sorts of garbage in the fuel filter cylinder starving the engine of fuel. had to get that sorted. then 2 months later the oil pump blew, destroyed the turbo and ruined the entire engine. all in all - 3 months from buying the car it was written off. about 4 and a half grand (including money i threw at it) down the drain. so yeah. maybe im a mug for going though with the purchase when all the warning signs were there. I really wish i saw this website prior to purchase, and i could have avoided so much hassle and saved myself a lot of money. if you do decide to look at a car from this garage be VERY critical of any issues, and dont take any nonsense. Any signs of shady issues - just back off!! Reading these reviews - there seems to be a lot of similar stories. Just be careful!
