Having bought my lovely Golf from Ecars in July last year, I came away from the deal feeling very happy - not only with the deal on the car but the way Robert conducted himself, he is very professional and very good at what he does! What I mean by that is that he sells very clean cars in very good condition, at a fair price. Just before Christmas i realised that my car's MOT was due as well as the annual service, on phoning Robert - all this was arranged and in fairness re-arranged due to my family commitments. All done without any fuss or bother, so once again Robert thank you very much for looking after me!

We bought a Golf from Ecars back in July this year and have purposely left it until now to post my review. Let me say first of all that Robert showed us several cars and allowed us to test drive quite a number until we had decided upon which one we wanted. We then sat down with him and we got down to a very good deal without too much haggling. The deal that we were offered gave us a good purchase price, warranty and service package! We told him we would go away and think about the deal and sleep on it! The following morning I was on the phone to him saying that we would take the car! Since then (about 4 1/2 months) the car has been an absolute PEACH! Drives well is a very clean car with no scratches or dents and is a very fine example of a 2010 Golf 1.6 TDi! Would I recommend Ecars and Robert Smith? Most certainly would and have already done so to a number of my friends and neighbours! VERY WELL DONE Robert keep up the good work!

After purchasing a faulty car in may 2017 from E Cars UK I am still awaiting my refund! He talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk. Stay clear from this man !!! Ps I have video evidence of his angry attitude when asking for a refund.

Looked for a number of weeks scanning the Internet. Came across the exact car for the right price .sadly it was 125 miles from myself .had a number on conversations with Robert smith with regards the vehicle. .was a little nervous due to the reviews,and also the distance to travel ..decided to ignore my apprehension. And traveled to Cardiff. .on my arrival Robert was more than welcoming to myself and family .the vehicle was in exceptional condition. Better than described for me it was first class service and a first class purchase. Would strongly recommend E Cars UK.

Bought a lovely 'looking' Golf in January from this man, it broke down after 2 months into a 3 month 'warranty. unfortunately for me I was away. He wouldn't pay for the tow truck back to Cardiff and when I told him the problem & asked if he would fix it, ' he vaguely said 'he would look at it but couldn't take the word of another garage! I had no confidence that he would be true to his word. Cost of towing back £280. So I had it fixed at a cost of over £850 (£350 for the part). Don't trust this man, his warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on....we've tried to compromise with him but no luck..

I bought a VW golf 12 months ago, and since then I have had the year from hell. As part of the purchase the car came with a 12 months warranty from an independent company. After 3 months a fault developed and it came to light that Robert Smith had not registered the warranty, therefore fraudulently miselling the vehicle. Over the past 12 months the car has been in Robert smiths repair garage for over 4 months and the fault remains. When I involved trading standards Robert Smith told me that the original company I bought the car off had gone out of business and therefore I didn't have a leg to stand on legally. The man lies as he breathes. The other reviews on here may be positive but the true test of a car traders is how they deal with problems. Do not trust this man. I have no had to resort to selling the car to webuyanycar and I've lost thousands off he value. Research him, he's gone bankrupt on several occasions. Don't trust him. Save you money and sanity.

This man had quite a few problems and I know he was not happy but this was a problem car we spent considerable time and money on the car sorting many problems out different problems each time. We could not of done any more, all that was spent on the car was at no cost to the customer at all.
