We secured an E-class convertible with £200 last Friday. I wanted to check the car the next day while the deposit was fully refundable but we were told it was not possible because it was the seller's birthday. So I went three days later (the following Monday), it was a four-hour round trip (we have been looking for a manual gearbox for a while now). I inspected the car: the 4 tyres were over ''waxed'', the rubber looked stiff and showed little cracks all around, the car smelled of cheap deodorant, and there were not even any floor mats so I immediately lost confidence in the car... Felt awkward in his "office" which was set up in the kitchen of his house; I proposed to go halves on the deposit because he removed the advert from Auto Trader for the Easter weekend. The tone changed straight away and I was made to understand that a refund was not an option, as if I had "wasted his time" and changed my mind without reason - not the fact that I had wasted a journey and my family had lost £200 for a car which was not up to standard.
Frazer talks a good story, bought car from E Cars Waterlooville in August still waiting for parcel shelf and spare key December 2500 pound for transfer box was told when buying car warranty could be done at a y garage turns out it's up to him where you take it get everything in writing don't take his word for anything wouldnt let him touch my car off to trading standards and anyone else who will listen hmrc.
FRAZER MACINTOSH from E Cars Waterlooville in response to avoid at all costs
Thank you for your review. In response we would like to highlight a few missed out points to this review. We forwarded you a text shortly after sale with reference to the Landrover Freelander you had Part Exchanged to us as "perfect". Unfortunately on inspection the transfer box needed replacing at considerable cost to us. Unfortunately 4 months after sale you had another transfer box fault on the Vauxhall Antara. We invited you to bring the vehicle back to us for inspection via the warranty company. This you refused to do as you only trusted your own garage. It was unfortunate that from the first call you made, everyone you dealt with found you extremely rude and abusive to the extent the warranty company employed a solicitor to deal with you. From discussions with your garage It is understood that you had fitted a tow bar to tow a large caravan. This was not mentioned to the warranty company and therefore they believed this contributed to the fault. We are happy to help all of our customers, but unfortunately you did not allow us access to your vehicle, where we have to facility to repair rather than replace the part.

Be aware of this 2 Con artist Ian and Frazer. They always selling you a faulty vehicle. It going to cost you more time and money. At the end you end up with a faulty vehicle and out of pocket. The price on the vehicle look to good to be true. Ps They also had a garages so be aware.
I have had a really good experience with my car and the service provided. I noticed that Autotrader the reviews for Ecars in Waterlooville are all 5*. After looking for over 3 months I found the car that I wanted and at an excellent price. The car has been perfect and the Guys at Ecars gave me a courtesy car after a few weeks to ensure everything is ok. I would recommend this business.

Do not trust - he puts on a trustworthy front but I get the feeling most of their vehicles are bought damaged and cheaply "repaired", at the new owners peril. We were mis-sold a car based on lies - sadly after buying the vehicle we unearthed said lies and were sent to his personal garage (as per a similar review on this site). The car was not fitted in during the allocated time meaning I was at the garage until gone 10pm. The car was also found to have several other serious issues covered up. The car was not road worthy - failed to accept this and in the end I returned at a loss as I needed a car for my family. I'd avoid this company - he will put you off independent dealers for life.

Thank you for your 2nd negative review previously "Disgruntled customer". It was unfortunate the flywheel failed a few days after your 3 month warranty expired on your 2008 BMW320d with 114000 miles, and you were quoted £1200 from your local Garage to repair. You contacted us for help and we replaced the clutch and flywheel at very little cost to yourself (Goodwill gesture) and you were delighted with our service on picking your car up. Unfortunately our mechanic missed a bolt on the clutch bell housing which resulted in a small leak. We asked you to bring the car back to us to replace the bolt, which you declined insisting we pick it up. Unfortunately due to the ongoing abuse and threats we received over the phone we had to bar your number. You sent us a bill for £2.54 + £45 labour for the replacement bolt. We apologised to you for our failure with the missing bolt however we felt we had tried to help a customer after the car's free 3 month warranty had expired. It is unfortunate that we now have 2 negative reviews from the same person we tried to help.

This is very true, I have bought a vehicle from this dealer before. Stay away at all cost this I would class this dealer as Dangerous to public. The dealer also had a garage so be aware. This is true reviews from my bad experience. “Dangerous Dealer”
I would happily recommend E Cars in Waterlooville. I bought a Suzuki form them in February and I have had no issues with it at all. It was clean and in very good condition and a good price. The dealers were very helpful.

Excellent service and very helpful aftersales. Even after 3 months a wheel bearing was changed without fuss. The guys could not be more helpful! Highly recommended!! Susan
They seemed nice to start with but then the car suddenly needed a new flywheel so the dealer sent us to his personal garage. All went ok, until we got the car home and the car started leaking oil. The dealer said I should get 12 months warranty with him at £250 and he would fix it, but I'm sorry but if a garage breaks your car instead of fixing it, then they have to fix it again!! Since then I can't get hold of the dealer and the garage keep hanging up. So I have had to get the car fixed by a different garage who said there was a bolt missing when the flywheel was put back in. Still haven't heard anything back from the dealer as he has now blocked my number. Wouldn't buy a car from them even if someone paid me.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback, but we have no record of your complaint and no name, dates or contact to verify your issues.

Could I ask what garage he asked you to use as I have had a similar experience through this garage?

I have the same issue with this dealers my self. My Land Rover Discovery 3 Brake down just after 12month with Transmission Fault. Look like they purchased the damage vehicle and repairs to sell. Land Rover Gear box never going to brake down this easy. When I contacted them they told me to get it repaired at the local garage. I have over 5 Fault with the vehicle purchase from this dealer. Air Conditioning not working, Air Compressor is not working, rear parking censors not working, Front Disc and Pads Uneven on both sides, Alternator not charging battery EGR Valve Fault and Now Transmission Faults I don't recommend this dealer to anyone stay away at all costs.
I bought a Peugeot 207 from E cars in April and I couldn't have asked for better service! The salesmen were all very nice and polite and they even came to pick me up because I couldn't get to the dealership! The car I bought was in such good condition and was a really good price. I am very happy with it. I would 100 percent recommend these guys they are so helpful and professional.

Cheap auction car broke down within 3 weeks, utterly pointless warranty, dealer not interested in resolving the issue. Wish I'd gone elsewhere, anywhere else would do.
I had to book an appointment to go and view my car and I have to say I prefer it like that. They were ready and waiting for me when I arrived, the car was ready to test drive and I had the salesmans full attention. They guided me through the process and made it all very easy, it was a pleasurable car buying experience.
