Ian Evans from Eagle Car Centre in response to Great car great price
Thanks for taking the time it's good when people appreciate the work and background work that goes into preparing used vehicles Ian
After many year driving company cars it was time to buy my own due to a change in circumstances. Not really being a car person but knowing what i needed something large and economical for the family. Ian took lots of time with me going through various models for size and economy and ended up on a Mondeo estate at a great price even sorting out the finance on the same day, this does over 50 mpg for a big car I wouldn't have thought this was possible. Many thanks to Eagle Motors for your time and patience I will be back for the next one.

ian evans from Eagle Car Centre in response to Great Service very friendly
Thank you for your kind words keep in touch Ian
I bought a 2011 Jaguar XF from Ian at the Eagle Car Centre just over a couple of weeks ago. I immediately had some slight reservations when I went for a test drive, and it was clear that the vehicle had been driven for some time before I was at the wheel. I bought the vehicle in the daylight and then took it straight to the underground car park. 2 days later and I went to start the vehicle and it had a flat battery. I called the AA and used my Bank Account as this has the provided cover. When the AA jump started my vehicle I noticed that one of the headlights was not working. I phoned Ian straight away and his words were, 'It needs a good run'. Ian then proceeded to state that it was the jump start that led to the failure of the headlight. Hmm, let's all think about that one for a moment. I drove the vehicle for approximately 500 miles over the following 2 days. The battery was discharged and charged again at the local Jaguar dealer, and the headlight and ignitor was replaced at a cost of over £600. I phoned Ian and he reiterated that he had spoken to 2 people from the AA and they confirmed that a jump start could have caused the headlight to malfunction. He provided me with £100 as a good will gesture. A week after the battery failed the first time, I went to start the car last Friday evening before another long journey and lo and behold, the battery was flat. Again I called the AA and again they jump started the car whilst the mechanic reiterated that jump starting the car would not cause the headlight to malfunction. Then yesterday, ............................the car would not start again because of a flat battery. I immediately took it to Jaguar again where they replaced the battery at a cost of £157. The AA mechanic who showed up for the third occasion again said that the battery being jump started would not cause the headlight to malfunction. What he also did was confirm that the 950Ah battery was indeed faulty and had dropped to 200Ah. So after all this, I will let you the readers decide whether or not Ian Evans should have contributed to the cost of the headlight that was not working and the faulty battery on the vehicle. Remember my opening comment about the vehicle engine being warm with an appearance that it had been driven some time before I had a test drive in it. What a shame that I feel totally ripped off by this business transaction and my faith with back street car dealers is the same as when I bought my Mk2 Escort in 1984. By the way Ian, the charging of the battery did not cause the headlight to fail. But well done on making a few hundred pounds out of me.

Ian Evans from Eagle Car Centre in response to You Decide!!!
ref YOU DECIDE !! the facts. Thank you for your review ,it would appear that you are unhappy with some issues could I please respond to the review and state some facts that do not appear to mentioned in your review, 1, Yes the car had been driven for sometime prior to you driving it as I collected you from the station in that self same car. 2. You did not collect the car the same day but later that week.Everything was functioning correctly on collection. 3.Yes at a later date not 2 days the battery did go flat had something been left on? as Jaguar could not find fault with the battery, The AA did indeed jump you off however the headlight igniter was now blown , I did speak to a professional auto electrician ,not the AA as you wrongly state who confirmed that many items can blow after a jump start. 4. A Jaguar dealer could not find fault at that time with the battery, they changed a bulb that they thought had gone and then the igniter 5, Yes you did make contact with me to ask for a contribution towards the headlight repair and I gladly offered £100 6. You do however fail to mention that on negotiating the price for the Jaguar you offered £750 below the asking as you would be moving away and you would not be bringing the car back if any issues arose in the future. I offered to put 2 news tyres on the rear of the car and have it serviced as the service reminder light was illuminated prior to collection but you insisted that you would rather have the discount and sort the issues yourself, therefore the offer of an additional £100 I feel was very fair. I trust my response reminds you of the actual facts , Eagle car centre cannot be held responsible for the power surge caused be jump starting a car and also the misdiagnosis of faults at Jaguar. I hope you have trouble free motoring in the future.
I went to Eagle Car Centre to buy a Mercedes in May. The sales team were very helpful and the car was very clean and in good shape when I collected it. I am really pleased with the car and how much I have agreed to pay for it, really good value for money. I would recommend this dealership.
