Part ex'd my car, they took £100 off my boyfriend as a deposit until we sent them our log book for the car, had to chase them for this refund for weeks. Now to find they have paid off my old finance but never put the car in their name meaning i can't get my refund for the tax i have paid until the end of the year. Called DVLA, going to sorn the car with the details i took before sending them the log book and let them deal with it. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE. If the area the garage is situated in is not enough to put you off, read the rest of the reviews online!
Do not trust East Lancashire Car Sales. I cannot believe they are still trading after all these bad reviews. Left a £250 deposit on a vehicle after speaking to Adam. He was very hesitant in giving me the vehicle registration when i asked to do a HPI. He told me the vehicle i was interested in had only one owner and never been in any accidents. Done a Hpi came back with 3 owners. Still went to see the car as i had left a deposit. When i got there i couldn't believe they where working out of a hut (nothing like the pictures) the car was very dirty and found the car was accident damage repaired. (kept it dirty to hide the bad repair job). He insisted he didn't lie and told me the deposit was non refundable! STAY WELL CLEAR.

I rung up & made an appointment to view a Audi A4 Avant that the East Lancashire Car Centre had for sale, I arrived on time at the postcode given and couldn't find the dealership because there isn't one it's a run down shed which I would of never found, I had to ring this guy called Adam who arrived 35 min late because he was in the middle of moving (bull), anyway he arrived driving the car which looked mint white with black alloys MJ10 RNX Auto, took it for drive all well apart from the gearbox jerked when setting off on a hill when I mentioned it he tried to make it out that's normal for Auto's and that it's been serviced, I spoke to a Audi specialist and they say that between 2008-2013 the car gearbox suffers a common fault which can cost from £2000 upwards, when I rung Adam back and told him he quite arrogant & clever, also the service book looked iffy.
So here we go..First of all don't trust East Lancashire Car Centre. I purchased a car from them after they gave me a price on my car in PX. Agreed px left a hefty deposit and returned a week later for the exchange. 1. Arrived after changing private plate and insurance waited for Adam (doubt it's his real name) he slated my vehicle and thrashed the balls out of it saying this is wrong that's wrong the DSG box is on its way out utter nonsense. 2. Spoke to his boss we dot want your car ?? What we agreed a deal already no mate its something we wouldn't sell we'd send it to auction. Sorry if you want that car then it's another £1000. Well after travelling a few hrs to get there and swopping number plate insurance etc what could I do I couldn't drive my car home so had to stump up the money. 3. 2 days later my car is in their website singing its praises. They say we are moving but have been saying that for years they have a small unit In a little yard nothing like their website hype. I should have looked for reviews before I bought from these so called prestigious dealers. There are loads of bad reviews about them and their tactics. Do not buy from East Lancashire Car Centre, walk away please I know now I should have told them to jog on but caught with no insurance and the hours spent traveling I couldn't really do much else. Oh and the free insurance they offer is not free you have to pay for it. Worst dealers in the UK.

Drove almost 100 miles to view a 2015 Civic Type R for sale at East Lancashire Car Centre, got there and was expecting a professional dealer housed in a new unit (judging from the photos) what I got was a dodgy brick shed with cut and shut cars being welded together outside. Was given the standard "we are in the process of moving" which is obviously rubbish. "Adam" spent all his time on the phone while I stood looking at the car waiting for him to answer my questions. Incidentally "Adam" clearly isn't his "real" name and a name he's used to try and get away from the fact he's Asian. Car itself - something very dodgy about it, was a 2015 with 15k on it but judging from the amount of wear and tear on the seats it looked more like it had done 150k miles. Every issue I raised I was told the car was still under warranty and Honda would sort it out. I suspect the car was either a CAT D or been clocked.

"Sorry about this we're in the middle of moving" absolute Bull read past reviews been moving for years, clever operation a hand full of cars kept in a crappie lock up if you look at the website you would think a place the size of Motorpoint car dealership and the salesman "Adam" hahaha yeah right he can't half talk the talk he talks faster than the cars he's trying to sell 100 miles an hour, STAY CLEAR half of the good comments have probably been submitted by themselves because seriously there's something not right with East Lancashire Car Centre.
Could have been a lot better. The car was not clean when I collected it, It was full of stuff and for some reason the dealer had added another 200 pounds to the price which I wasn't really in a position to reject after travelling for 5 hours to get there. And I'm already having to have the brake disks changed and I only bought the car in January. They have some good stock but they are not a good company. I wouldn't recommend East Lancashire Car Centre.

I have had no problems with East Lancashire Car Centre. I have had my Golf for 6 months now and I have had no issues with it. The dealers were helpful and the car was a decent price.

Let me guess he's family or mate?
I live in Scotland and was interested in a 2012 st for 13k. If I was to travel down to the East Lancashire Car Centre it would mean a 600 mile trip all round. Unfortunately due to a family circumstance I was unable to attend my viewing of the car which I had payed a 250 pound deposit for. As I showed my interest Adam assured me that my deposit was fully refundable. I spoke to him a day early explaining why I wouldn't be able to attend, I also mentioned that I wanted my deposit back. After two or three days of no phone call I phoned him asking where's my deposit. Surprise surprise they are not willing to give my deposit back as I hadn't seen the vehicle, which I said you have no leg to stand on as you stated that it is a fully refundable deposit multiple times. I will be now going to the bank or trading standards to sort the matter out. Stay away from this dealer.

I'm a recent ex service man and went to view one of there vehicles and I was happy so I put a £250 deposit to hold the car (which they said was refundable) till I could go come back with someone who could check the car. So with some experience with me, we took the car for a test drive and the emissions light came on so I asked for my deposit back which the dealer said it would not be a problem! A week later there is now sign. I ring them and they start making excuses and say they won't refund my deposit. A nice service from the a legit car centre for serving my country! I do not recommend these to anyone and they need to be stopped!
Joe in response to Deposits are NOT refundable
Ex service man also had a similar problem with these guys.. Adam (Really) agreed a px value in my car saying she looked a nice motor I liked the car I viewed and agreed a deal. After traveling a few hours and after changing my insurance and private plate Adam ragged my car within a inch of its life and slated it so much he said we wouldn't sell this it's not what we want. I'd read a few reviews and knew I'd struggle to get my money back and uninsured had already paid for the new insurance paid to transfer my number plate I had no option but to hand over a £1000 on top! Only to find pictures on EBay and their Website singing my old cars praises how great The condition is how well spec'd the car is less than 36hrs later. Taken for a mug please not just service men and women but everyone avoid these.
