When reviewing a car I noticed service light. He advised its been serviced few months ago and they must have forgot to turn it off, they said would drop the cost £95. To pay for it to be turned off.. Foolish because it was best car on paper all day I paid deposit. On reflection I thought, what if it wasn't simply that. I contacted garage and requested deposit back under the circumstances. They rejected this. I feel although lost £200 I have potential dodged something worse. I am seeking further advice and hope nobody has Issue with that car. The light apparently just turned off, he may have been right and it was nothing but a lot of money to sort if not

You asked if I could reduce the price of the car as the service light was on and you wanted to get the car serviced by a mechanic you use once you picked the car up and I agreed to this and then you left a deposit. One week later you phoned to tell me that you were waiting for your loan to come through to pay for the car and it should be within a couple of days. No response from you for a following week then you phoned and asked for your deposit back. A deposit holds the car until you collect the car as it becomes sold once a deposit is left and no longer advertised for sale.

You said that you would like to collect the car within a few days, then did not call me until a week later. You called and said that you were getting a loan and that they were taking longer than anticipated. I assured you that there was no rush and you could have more time to sort out your finances. Then you emailed me to ask for your deposit to be refunded. A deposit takes the car off sale and is not refunded simply because you changed your mind a couple of weeks after leaving it or a change in your financial circumstances
Would not recommend this garage to our worse enemy.. They are a back street garage. They I hope will make the next TV show so that they will be shown for the bad dealer that they are. Vehicle was not roadworthy found after two days of purchase. Arrogance and aggressive from the second mentioned the problem sold as scene was the words before 10 seconds of conversation. Trading standards was awesome and gave full explanation of what to say and they are fully aware of this trader now. Wife pregnant and theses two father and son gave full hassle to her. Fathers words " you will get cash back but I will make sure it takes six months " nice people like I say...cash back after a weekend of listening to wannabe rubbish tactics ( vosa ) fully aware and standards. Be warned don't buy from them.

I could not agree more with this reviewer after my recent experience with Eaton House Autos. Thank god i checked out the reviews here before proceeding. Did manage to find another similar car at another garage with good reviews. Visited today and was spot on, car purchased and peace of mind. I will leave a positive response for this on here as it allows people to make an informed decision on where they spend their money. Men like these need naming and shaming!

Why do some people have nothing better to do with their time, let’s slag off a business, buy a 10 year old car at a fraction of new cost , expect a new car , the problem is these customers can not afford new , but expect the world, the cheaper the car the more they expect, How can you leave a bad review, you never made a purchase, . Is there a time scale to a reply to an email , No, because you could not wait while the garage was obviously busy you left a bad review, He obviously did not want to sell you a car, don’t blame him, Screamer alert
