I thought I would retry Eden Vauxhall after a poor experience a few years ago. I booked my car in for specific work which the admin team did not put on the paperwork so dropped the car off as planned. The dealership team in Oxford put it on the paperwork for the day but although they were able to do the assessment it still didn't get completed as they tan out of time. Keeping my car overnight to complete the work I had booked in for wasn't apparently an option as they needed the courtesy car back so they arranged a drop off. Poor service. They then agreed to do the work another day and pick my car up so I didn't have to travel back and forth, great, but the girl on the service desk couldn't give me a quote for the work. I asked her to email it to me as I was going on holiday and had to chase it up 3 times, once I was told it was already paid for (clearly had not been) and would be free, Someone else told me I would have to pay a reassessment fee as she had no record of the work and another person told me the job wasn't even booked in. I ended up cancelling as I didn't have a quote and the communication had been awful but of course the team didn't pass it on to the poor car collection man who was then in a panic trying to find my car to take it to the garage. I requested a call from the manager on Saturday who would apparently be back yesterday and still not heard anything. The actual workshop work seems to be really sound and I like the fixed cost pricing even though a bit pricier than other local garages but the service desk communication with customers and with the workshop is unbelievably awful and they clearly need more training as they don't know what they are doing. Steer clear.
I have an Astra 15 plate. Car under warranty and regularly serviced at Vauxhall Eden oxford. Had a service at 39850 car broke down at 40150 miles. Under the service plan spark plugs need replacing at 40000 miles. I mentioned this at the service but was told that they didnt need doing. Yesterday the car broke down due to the core pack. If the spark plugs had been checked or changed this would not have happened. Vauxhall warranty dept does not open on a Sunday. I called the RAC and they came out within 30 mins and replaced core pack at a cost of £162. I then went to Vauxhall Eden to reclaim money back and was told I cannot as they are not a authorised repairer. In short I was told that in future if my Vauxhall breaks down under warranty don’t get it fixed by a breakdown service, l need to get it taken to a Vauxhall dealership to be repaired. It would appear that to Vauxhall Eden my time is not important and that customer service is non existent. In future I hope my Vauxhall breaks down when garages and the warranty department are opened.

I purchased a Vauxhall Corsa Energy from Eden Vauxhall Kidlington and within 12 months the car developed an irritating vibration from the dashboard where it meets the windscreen, I therefore booked an appointment with Edens repair and service department who gave me the impression that this was a trivial matter that probably just needed a screw tightening up, Anyway two days later I called in to collect it, only to be told they could find nothing wrong with it and that they had found no vibration during a test drive, however as I drove home, I had travelled no further than half a mile down the road before it started vibrating again, Crap cars, Crap service, Crap Company. I have a 2013 automatic, diesel, Vauxhall Insignia. Last week whilst I was driving the button which I use change the driving status between Drive, Neutral, Parking suddenly felt loose and the bottom part of the button just came off. I managed to park the car and realised there seemed to be a sort of spring that may have come loose after calling my personal mechanic who drove down and had a look. He had not seen this before and asked me to call Vauxhall customer care. I contacted them and they were baffled by this too and gave me the number for Eden Vauxhall which was my local Vauxhall dealership. I took it to the dealership and after having a look at it they told me the spring could not be replaced and the whole gear stick and components needed replacing and that would cost me £664.80. There was nothing I could have done to affect the part and it was clearly faulty but due to it no longer being in warrantee and the car having done more than 60,000 miles Vauxhall have refused to do anything about it. I do not need a whole part replacing but just the spring which should not have come out as this is an essential part of an automatic. If Vauxhall can not guarantee the part after 3 years and insist on replacing the whole unit rather than the small part which needs fixing then this is day light robbery and pretty disgusting.

Website tells you how seriously they take customer service but they don’t even pay it lip service. Sales Manger Ian tells you he will look into something for you and That will be the last you hear from him. After that he will be busy or on day off! Accounts say they will arrange your refund and you never hear from them again either. I would recommend keeping away from this customer service shy business. Can’t comment on car purchasing experience as didn’t get that far and now won’t
