So much wrong with this car I bought from Edge Cars in Cardiff, had arranged for edge to contact my local garage to carry out repairs and on completion refused to pay the garage, eventually embarrassed them enough to pay the bill. Leave well alone.

Don't buy from these. I purchased a Peugeot rcz from these guys six months ago and have a numerous issues with it The most concerning being oil leaks and now engine issues. They eventually picked car up first week in Dec. After many phone calls to ask where my car was with no answers apart from its in a specialist engine garage in Cardiff but wouldn't tell me where and what repairs were they doing?? I made a surprise visit to the garage to find car sat in the valet bay When asked manny what was happening he said didn't know and blamed Gavin on situation. After 2 months they eventually returned car without notifying me beforehand. I was at work and unable to check if repairs had been carried out To date They haven't repaired the car its filthy dirty the break casing is hanging off with no evidence as to where the car had been for the so called repairs. Also 80 miles extra on the clock, on a previous time they had it, it was returned to me with a cigarette burn in carpet which they won't take responsibility for also evidence the car had been driven further than just being road tested as when I collected it from garage there wasn't a drop of fuel in it, when it was half full when I dropped it off !!! I found out by chance the previous owner sold car for all issues I have had with it and the garage she sold it to was sending it to auction, because if the faults. I believe this car has been purchased from auction and sold on to me without addressing the faults. They never return your calls blame each other. Don't respond to emails either even when threaten with court action Going all the way with these rogues they should have licences taken from them stopping them from trading. Don't be sucked in by their friendly approach they are full of false promises

I bought an MR2 from Edge Cars. After driving it back to Bristol, the ECU light came on and the power steering failed. The car was under warranty, with the assurance rectification work could be carried out in a garage of my choice. I took my car to a local garage. No problems right? WRONG! After 3 weeks of phone calls trying to get the work sanctioned Edge Cars asked for the car back to carry out the work in their own workshop. I just don't trust them to get the repairs done properly. After 3 weeks of broken promises, and countless conversations with Gavin I am now forced to pay for the work myself. I was thinking of sending the bill to Edge Cars in the hope they reimburse me but to be honest I'm going to cut my loses and foot the bill. The long and short is, don't buy cars off this dealer, don't be seduced by their silky sales talk, and don't press the first digit of their phone number into your phone. You'll be lead down a path of frustration, lies and broken promises. Sean, Bristol.

Having bought a bmw x5 from edge cars after being promised faithfully the car was in (their words) tip top condition i paid in cash the asking price and was given a complete warranty on the car, however as i lived across the other side of the country i asked what if i needed any warranty work done , i was told no problem inform us as to the cost of the repair and send us the invoice and we will pay. Within a week of purchase i had the car serviced by my local garage, the faults they found were almost to many to mention, e.g. a split and a bodged up repair inside the rear wheel a blocked turbo pipe, faulty amplifier, sat nav, no sound three speakers not working the fault in the amp drained the battery so i had to jump start the car wrong wiper blades, some difference in bmw prices to replace them exhaust emission valve not working. The cost of the repairs came to £1475 68p the reply from Edge Cars? Total blank no reply to emails letters phone calls (he was out of the office) finally to cut along story short, i took them to court which i was awarded the full cost of the repairs, they still didn't pay so i had to get the court bailiff to recover the debt it took 12 months. Edge cars should be barred from trading.

I found Edge while looking for a replacement car for my daughter. We found a nice Fiat Punto at the Birchgrove site. The price was right but there were a few little issues with the car, such as a burn hole in one of the seats and a crease in the bonnet edge. I pointed these out upon fist inspection of the car and was surprised that the salesman said that it was not a problem, if I was interested they would get them sorted. I was sceptical as I have felt with second hand dealers before, but after agreeing a trade in price for my daughters old car, the bonnet and seat were repaired to a very high standard. The bonnet actually looked new. I would have no issues in recommending Edge as they are a very professional outfit and the staff (at the Birchgrove site) were very accommodating and courteous! I am a born sceptic when it comes to cars. I have owned dozens of them and at the age of 70 I did not expect to be ever surprised again! I have been. Ramsey at Edge Cars in Cardiff comes out of the old school of "The customers comes first". An what service. I purchased an Audi A8, and all my concerns were answered. A new MOT albeit there was one on it with 6 months to go. A full working check. A 6 month warranty. Delivered half way between us - 1.5 hours drive each. The attention to details and the concern to provide a first class service was always in evidence. Not easily impressed at my age - I was in this case. Quite refreshing! I search the internet for weeks looking for a perfect BMW 1 series. I spotted the perfect car with Edge Cars with the rght spec and in white. I visited Edge cars and the forecourt was well present all the cars were cleaned and displayed to a high standard. Whilst i was looking for the BMW it was in a secure area off sale just as promised by Gavin whilst i was travelling to view the car. I must say the car was ready to drive away within 30 mins of myself arriving at Edge cars and they gave me a very gooddeal on my existing car as a part exchange. Even free drive away insurance was not a issue. I would recommend this company to all my friends and family also will be buying my daughter her first car shortly from Edge cars. Despite reviews on this page Edge cars have also got a review site on 192.com which show how customers have been happy though years of them trading. I must thank gavin at Edge cars and alll the team for such a wonderfull experience. Sara T

I found this Edge Cars dealer in Cardiff all round arrogant and rude. Sold me a car with loads of problems only to get attitude back when I requested they fixed it. Frankly, they should be ashamed at the way they spoke to my partner and I. Terrible service and horrific "after care". They need to look up customer service and honesty in the dictionary. Avoid Edge Cars in Cardiff.

Following my previous review, I'd like to add the following. Ramsey and Edge Cars have finally given me what they promised. They have fitted a new timing belt for me and I'm now at ease. It took a little longer than expected but things are looking good at the moment. Although all this was promised before I bought the car and I was told it was all done when I paid for it, and it wasn't, they have now honoured they're agreement and Ramsey did make sure the works got completed. This was my first purchase of a second hand car for many many years and I can honestly say I had a few sleepless nights. Now that the belts been fitted I wish to appologise to Ramsey and the team at Edge cars for my previous review and say that Ramsey has installed faith back into me. I have since recommend Ramsey and Edge cars to my son and a neighbour.
