I have recently bought a mini from edge cars in Cardiff, when I entered the showroom I had a very warm welcome plus I was handed the keys to the car I had seen online, the car was perfect exactly as it was described online, after talking over a price, I was supplied with a brand new MOT and an oil service, plus my car was delivered to my home for me with a five day drive away insurance so all I can say about edge cars is what a very pleasant experience and I will be recommending edge cars to all my friends and family.

I wish I'd read these reviews first before buying from Edge Cars Cardiff Branch. Looked over a car and was promised several things would be done. Firstly I told the company I was not interested in buying a second hand car, especially one with around 90k miles on it, without knowing it's had a new timing belt fitted. Ramsey, the salesman, assured me they would do that along with a new MOT and a new Air intake pipe for the Turbo and he would paint the scratches in the bumper. I received a phone call 3 days later telling me all the work had been done. I commented that I thought this quick for the amount of work, but Ramsey assured me he made it a priority as he needed cash flow for the business. When I collected the car that evening, it was raining and all appeared well. car did looked great. I paid up and then got all paperwork including receipt. Then, no waranty papers and no papers for timing belt. After a furious rant I was assured the timing belt would be fitted the following week and the warranty will come after that. I took the car home and the next day the noise from the Turbo pipe was back and the filler from the paint job on the bumper, had fallen out. All the scratches are back. Now I follow all these precious reviews, the same things have and are happening to me. What have I done. Police say they can't do anything as it's a civil matter although I've been lied to and misled. Trading Standards have listened and may decide to take up the case, but it appears the only route is through the small claims courts. So unless you got plenty of money to throw away after these guys. PLEASE AVOID THEM LIKE THEY HAVE THE PLAGUE.

Bought a car from Edge Cars in Cardiff in January this year. They promised that a number of things would be addressed prior to collecting the vehicle. On the day of collection, I noticed the number plate on the rear was screwed up too high, they unscrewed it and used double sided tape to secure the plate on and assured me they would post me another. 3 months on, I'm still waiting despite several phone calls and emails. The other things that needed attention appeared to have been rectified, until the drive home. I was assured that the tracking had been completed, what a load of rubbish. I wasn't convinced, so I took it myself to have it done. It hadn't, and according to the mechanic, it hadn't been touched in years. I contacted Gavin, who I'd been dealing with and when questioned he made up some story about the tyres being pumped up and the steering feeling ok. They are nice as pie, until they get your money then they turn into completely different dealership. Stay away and look elsewhere.

Similar to the other reviewer, I bought a car from Edge Cars in January 2015. Ramsey the salesman was pleasant and promised work which we'd agreed before the contract was signed would be done. You'll read reviews on their website and a few other sites, which say the sales process was great... which it was...until you drive the car away, that's when the problems begin. Although cars are sold with a three month warranty this is not honoured by the garage. If you complain they stop answering your calls, emails or letters. Apparently now Ramsey has left, nothing he has promised (even though I have it in writing) has been honoured. My car is now no longer drivable as the breaks are no longer functioning after only 4 weeks of driving, which for me is devastating as I need my car to be able to work. Having repeatedly tried contacting them, with the assistance of Citizens Advice to no avail I am now left with no alternative but to pursue legal action. Please please please don't go near this garage.
