We trusted this dealership, but sadly we figured too late that they’re not trustworthy. We bought our first car for £1450. We have saved our hard earned money to buy our car only to be told that repairs on the car would cost another £1000+. Me and my partner travelled all the way to West Yorkshire from the East Midlands to buy our first car from this dealership a month ago. Everything went well and we drove the car home. Took it to a specialist for a safety check and was advised that the car was not road worthy. They found the brakes were corroded, tyres damaged and one tyre with an irreparable puncture, suspension arm bush deteriorated, damaged lower ball joint and the drive shaft came off. It puzzled us as to how the MOT Centre has passed the car with only the fuel pipe corrosion on the advisory information. Elland has denied anything to do with MOT centre passing the car and has said the car has been MOT'd before it got to them. The MOT was done a month before I bought the car. They have advised us to email them the information provided by a mechanical specialist and promised that they would get back to us but, they haven't. We've been trying to get into contact with them for the past 2 weeks, but we believe that they have blocked our number or are choosing to ignore us. We've have emailed, called and texted but with no reply. We called the MOT centre in where the MOT of the car was done but, them too has denied any responsibility and passed the blame onto Elland Car sales for the fault of the car. We are reasonable people, we gave them time to get back to us but, they just don't care. What if the drive shaft came off while we were on our way back from West Yorkshire? They don't care about the people that they sell their cars too whether it be safe or not. They only care about making money and ripping people off. I have just read some of the reviews about this dealership and I can’t believe how many people they have ripped off. We will be taking it further and we don’t care how long it takes. We just want Elland Cars to take responsibility for all the problems that they have given To anyone wanting to buy a car. PLEASE AVOID THIS BUSINESS. It will save you a lot of money and problems.

Purchased my 2009 Vauxhall Astra on 21-04-18. I paid a deposit over the phone as I was travelling from Ireland on the promise that the car was in 100% condition mechanically. I returned back with the car and had done less than 500 miles of normal driving over the space of 2 weeks when my engine suddenly overheated and blew the head gasket. The car is now not even turning over as the engine is seized. An obvious fault in the engine which was hidden on purchase. I did some further digging and found I was lied to about the MOT. It had infact failed the MOT on March 13th 2018 for a number of other unrelated issues. Now the engine has completely gone. I am attempting to make contact via email and telephone, so far I've been passed off on the phone. Sent two emails which have not been replied to and they have now blocked my phone number. I have lost thousands of pounds dealing with this trader. I cannot express enough how much you should avoid. Not even a response to my problem.

I want to warn people NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY I did and was horrified at the result .I purchased a 2009 Peugeot 207 cc from them .I was NOT given a test drive because the car was at the back of 8other cars BUT WAS ASSURED the car was perfect to drive and after all it had a warranty ,the bonnet was scratched all over but I was told they would be taken out .When I picked the car up they apologised that the scratches were still there BUT THEY WOULD BE DONE AT A LATER DATE ,driving the car home it started raining but the wipers and washers would not work ,and when I tried to alter the electrics wing mirrors they did not work ,I noticed the temp and petrol gauges did not work

I have had a pretty poor experience with Elland Cars. I bought a BMW from them in February and I have had numerous issues with it and have had to send it back. The dealers were not very helpful at all and they took ages to return the money to the finance company. I wouldn't recommend.
