I have bought my cars from this company for the past 26 years, never gone anywhere else. Brilliant prices, service and cars. The staff are so professional and friendly. AVOID AVOID AVOID Do not buy a car from this garage. If you want a dodgy, unsafe vehicle, go ahead and purchase from here. Absolute disaster from the start and can foresee a long battle to get to the end. Bought a car 72 days ago from this place To date it has: Spent 39 days in their 'workshop' being fixed for a multitude of faults (the first one appearing 7 days after buying it) - although this is debateable as has also been used for personal use by someone within the garage, whilst we pay the finance, insurance and tax on it. Spent 12 days at the roadside (4 days we were on holiday, the rest it's been undriveable due to faults) Been driven by us for 21 days (not all concurrently) The engine has completely died 68 days after purchase, bang in the middle of a dual carriageway with my child in the back seat! They're very lucky that this could be a very different story! It's now in the hands of the finance company and trading standards, finance have cancelled the deal with the garage and we're speaking with our own solicitors for any legal issues. Absolutely shocking! ** no doubt they'll say 'we don't have record of you buying a car from us' but be assured we did buy from here, and when they can be arsed to come and recover the car, they'll know exactly which one it is.

I crashed my car in December 2021 and used these to buy a new one, I bought a Ford Fiesta from elm tree garage. The person who sold me my car reassured my that it would have no problems and would be 100% safe to drive and went on to tell me how he lost his daughter due to a car accident. Within the first week my clutch went, I took it back to them which resulted in them keeping my car for 5 days. When I went to pick it up it had a big dint in the side which they denied doing and told me it was like that when I bought it. The next week the window stopped working, I was then told my warranty didn’t cover this. My Ariel was not put on properly which was causing water to fill up in my light and everytime I turned the water was coming out, which I had to get my dad to sort out as they were not bothered to fix this. The car has been nothing but problems too me. 7 month later my full power steering has gone, I think this is a terrible service which only cares about the money and not there customers. I’m a 22 year old girl who hasn’t even been driving a year yet! Please do not use elm tree garage!

Daughter purchased car from this dealer. My daughter her two toddlers and my wife were on the motorway. A loud clanking noise alerted her to pull off onto gosforth high street. The rear wheel was only held on by the calliper the centre nut was loose. This is a day after the car passed a full mot test from this car sales. The gearbox also leaked oil manager said top it up it will soon fix itself. Company refused to make good gearbox oil leak so we got our money back. Car Audi q3 diesel auto 14 reg price 12k it's been sold again recently September. If you bought it and gearbox is still leaking post here we will stand together. If you want a cowboy out for your son look no further.

Had car 7 month and nothing but endless issues (radiator - had radweld in it) power steering/clutch/flywheel/engine cover flying off after a few days on A1/buckled wheel/insecure brake line. Oil leak,Alternator belt (wheel was repaired FOC after broker intervened) I’d recommend a independent inspection, I used Scotia but many more out there. They do a presale check for £140 and after checks if needed (hindsight is great!) I’ll post the reports,pics ect once the legal side is finalised

I would highly recommend buying a car from Elmtree car sales! Very covid safe and professional service. Found me a car. With all the qualities I was looking for! Would definitely recommend!
