If I could give less than 1 star I would..would not recommend to anyone!! Advertising a car with 12 months mot,which ran out after 3 weeks and then failed!! Then telling me to drive it anyway!! Will be telling anyone and everyone to avoid at all costs.. can't wait for the day trading standards catches up with Them!!

We purchased a Citroen 2CV from Chris, via an Ebay classified advert for £6000, on the 20th August 2015. My father bought the car. Paying that much, he expected a good vehicle. In the Ebay description it was described as 'one of the best available examples' and 'truly immaculate condition inside and out. We did the best inspection that a layman could and although there were minor issues, we thought that we could stomach these, because they were minor. After taking the car to one of the UK's leading 2CV specialists and a former MOT tester/supervisor, he wrote a report, which made it clear that extensive corrosion of the inner and outer bulkheads had lead to a collapse of the front of the body. Not only that but one of the front wheel's was badly corroded and patched with filler, yes filler. This alone meant the car was dangerous. A long list of further faults emerged. The matter was handled by a subordinate and then passed to a legal firm called Law data. Despite repeated evidence of objective facts(in the form of a full report with pictures), namely that the car did not match the description, the garage, hiding behind the law firm, refused to acknowledge the faults. We asked for him to pay half of the £2200 repair bill, but they refused, suggesting that they might offer a few hundred. We formally rejected the car, expecting a refund and a return of our PX. Emerald has now refused to communicate, via Law Data.
