Having recently suffered a critical breakdown in my car I found myself at EMG with the idea of just looking at prices and seeing what was available. I was more than surprised to find the perfect car at just the right price (surprised as this was the first place I looked and I didn’t even know what I really wanted). I would not normally make such a quick decision (which was all my own) but I was so satisfied with the service I received that I had bought the car within a week. I was met on the lot, any questions answered, booked myself in for a test drive (all Covid safety followed) quotes drawn up taking in my needs and circumstances. No hassles, just available when I needed them. James Player arranged everything from start to finish and when I explained I had an important trip to make at the weekend he made sure everything was put in place for me to receive the car in time. I have a very shiny, smooth driving vehicle with fresh mot, tax and warranty. I would definitely visit EMG again.

Made my initial enquiry with Paul Freeman on a thursday for a Skoda Fabia on their books within moments he was able to identify one in Kent. He was able to get it shipped to Haverhill for me to have a viewing and test drive, under no obligation to purchase by the weekend. I was very impressed with the vehicle and decided to purchase. The whole process was made very easy by Paul's professionalism. At no time did I feel any sales pressure which I was happy about. The whole process was efficient and it all went through smoothly. I am very pleased with my new car and would happily recommend going to EMG Haverhill to purchase a vehicle.

My mother-in-law had had decided to change her car and had asked me to go with her to a garage near to where she lives to look at a vehicle she liked the look of. I spoke with the garage and I agreed to leave a ‘holding fee’ with EMG Haverhill over the phone as the earliest we could get to the garage to see it was on Saturday - I gave my card details on the Wednesday. I had done some research and found the same make and specification car with 10,000 miles LESS on the clock and £500 cheaper in Peterborough. We went to see the car in Haverhill as agreed and my mother-in-law liked the car. I made it clear that we had seen the same specification car for less money and lower mileage in Peterborough but we would still in interested in his vehicle if he took £300 off the price. The salesman pointed out that the other vehicle in Peterborough was six months older and the best he could do was reduce it by £150. This we did not accept and I said no deal and please refund my £250 holding fee. Now the reason that I have written this review is that the garage had actually taken £500 from my account! When I asked why, I was told it was ‘£250 towards the car purchase price’. They had taken an extra £250 out of my account without my consent - no apology was offered and the sales man even had the cheek to give me his business car ‘in case you change your mind.’ Please bear this in mind if you choose to use this garage.
