Terrible customer service and faults with the car. Empressive Motor Company put the wrong size tires on two wheels causing a warning light to appear shortly after buying (suggesting warning light had been temporarily turned off for sale). Called and the woman who I spoke too called me a liar and that I had clearly put the tires on myself even though there was no locking wheel nut to remove the alloys provided with the purchase of the car. The woman (extremely rude) proceeded to tell me that I should of told them sooner despite having a 15 month guarantee and it being a genuine problem of their own fault and before putting the phone down so now will have to sort at my own expense. AVOID

Rhys Jones in response to Shocking Customer Service!!

Empressive very unimpressive initially the sales and everything was excellent i was assured the cam belt had also been replaced. On the day the car was meant to be delivered to me i was told the wingmirror had fallen off and they had ordered a replacement which delayed delivery by about 2 or 3 days. The car was delivered to me and after I went out to drive it home after taking delivery I noticed all 4 tyres were under inflated. I thought that was strange so I took them and pumped them up. The next day the Aircon was not working and I was having problems with engine overcranking upon startup and problems firing so i took it to a local garage who refilled the Aircon and they also noticed the fuel filter was loose so refit this at cost to myself. I contacted empressive and they refunded the aircon and they said coronavirus we apologise. Within a few days all the tyres had lost pressure so I took the car to a local tyre garage and had to replace all 4 tyres at cost to myself and again contacted aftersales and ended up having a half hour argument with Mark who stated he was new and was trying to say I had been scammed but then agreed to refund me for 2 of the tyres. I have still been having ignition problems and overcranking for the last month of trying to get this resolved and it went into an approved garage for the warranty work and was told that they had to do diagnostic work first and this would be 50 pounds to attempt to diagnose the problem as the all singing all dancing warranty i was provided with wouldnt cover diagnostic work. I was told that it had thrown up some error codes that were possibly old and still left on and had not been cleared off. Fast forward to last week and I am still having the same issue so I contacted my finance company regarding rejecting the vehicle in the meantime I made one final attempt to resolve this by taking it back up to Merthyr which is a good 40 minutes each way and on the morning I was due to take it up the car refused to start. I had a conversation with Mark in aftersales who was trying to argue with me again stating the warranty would cover transporting it up there which ended with me saying I am not interested i just want the deal unwound as is my right under the right to reject to which he replied that was fine and that I would have to pay 1000 pounds due to negative equity on the car i traded in which I stated was fine send me the bill and I contacted my finance company to explain this. I had a phone call back from my finance company today to say that empressive were refusing to unwind the deal. I have also had it confirmed by my local garage that the cambelt has NOT been done. I spoke to Mark in aftersales who stated it was fine as it needs to be done every 130k miles this is not the case as SEAT recommend it is done every 60k miles or five years whatever happens first. He also explained that they had gone through a rebranding and the repair and aftersales was now separate (quite why I needed to know this i don't know) Basically avoid Empressive and DO NOT buy a car off them as once they have sold you the vehicle they don't want to know. Staff will think nothing of arguing with you and lying to sell you a vehicle or delivering it to you in an unsafe condition. If I could give zero stars I would as since discovering problems its been a nightmare. I am currently still attempting to resolve this via my finance company and have also got trading standards and my credit card company involved.

Empressive Motor Company were advertising a Mercedes with only 34,000 miles but the number plate was blanked out so I was unable to check the MOT history on this vehicle. I was very interested so I rang them about the car, they told him how wonderful it was and I asked them to check the mileage - yes confirmed 34,000 miles but no service history. I then asked for the registration number, I checked MOT history on it - heyho said vehicle had covered almost £74,000. Dont touch them.

I bought a car from Empressive Motor Company which had major faults that manifested themselves on the way home from the dealer. I tried to get a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 ( look this up people you may need it!) but they said they wanted to repair it. After 2 months they finally agreed to a refund as the repairs were too expensive (which was evident from the independent diagnostics we had done). They care only about their profit and have no concept of customer service in the normal sense. Don't think they service cars whatever they say either. They admitted they only change the oil but they will turn the service light off so you think they have serviced the car, Don't buy from these people however good the deal appears to be - it will cost you in the end.

I’ve emailed empressive on 3 separate occasions only to be told once that the after sales team would be in touch. That was 3 weeks ago still no response. Car has a major fault less than 9 months after I bought it

Having been forced to take on a £1.6 billion valued finance company Moneyway t/a Secure Trust Bank by a Chief Executive on £1.2 million a year, who refused even to speak to our M.P. and customer service that belonged in the gutter. So amazed and over the moon after 15 long painful months, finally won our case with the Financial Ombudsman against them!! Word of advice peeps first, don't ever ever ever buy a car from Empressive Motor Company in Merthyr Tydfil! Ran by ex-employees of Trade Centre Wales, who go to public auctions buy barely working cars, patch them up and sell them with a warranty not worth the paper it's written on. When you do have a problem, you will be phoning a warranty number that just diverts to a mobile number answer machine, which I'm told no-one ever listens too. They also wont bother coming out to assist you, just tell you to go to a local garage to get it fixed. But if they do need to pay for it as covered by the warranty they will try and send the local garage second hand parts to keep the cost down!!! Bought a 2012 plate Astra that broke down on the day of pick up, fobbed off with low petrol and standing on the forecourt for ages issue. Which they tried to deny ever happened, which undid them as emails later revealed it was the truth the donkeys. Multiple breakdowns later approx 5/6 times a month, was discovered that the car had a different Astra's ABS system installed with different VIN numbers which was apparently illegal!!! They realised this as they ended up paying to have it replaced. So a chop and shop car basically. The owner Mark is arrogant and never there to answer calls when you need to sort stuff out. Call their office and given the usual line, he's not here, I'll get him to call you back etc!. When he does he just argumentative and unreasonable. Also doesn't admit liability to fix issues even when the finance broker company Evolution Funding, repeatedly tells him just to unwind the deal which was requested numerous times as if the case went to the FOS he will lose. A SAR's request showing emails between Empressive and Evolution proves this. Well unlucky for Empressive and Moneyway now they got to take the car back, unwind the deal, refund all payments, deposits and pay compensation hahahaha!! Make sure peeps if you enter into any agreement, get stuff down on paper. Dont get railroaded into what a company wants you to do, stick to your guns. Request copies of all correspondence and calls on whatever format they have. Timeline and appendix your evidence for any FOS complaints, to build a picture helps them making decisions. Big win for the little man!!!

Empressive Motor Company ... there's nothing impressive about this company and definitely not worth the 1 star I had to give!  We purchased our dream car back in February from this company, by June they'd had my car for the amount of time we had in order to carry out repairs. The first lot of repairs were fine, however on giving my car back to be repaired for a broken turbo the second time we soon realised these were not reputable salesmen. First we were told we would have the car back the same afternoon when in actual fact we had the car back 5 weeks later. In that time my car had been moved to a different garage WITHOUT my knowledge and even more worryingly without any of the sales team knowing where my car was. What good communcation skills between a 'family run' business. Upon return of my car at 7pm we drove home (15 mins away) where we noticed serious damage to the front grill, upon further inspection there was even more damage to the car and even the engine! We contacted Mark immediately to be told we must have done it on the way home. We most certainly did not!  My car was also left unaccounted for from Thursday to Monday morning and had conveniently managed to drive itself 156 miles from the time I dropped it off for repair to when the car was returned to myself. After contacting Mark on several occasions he was happy to GLUE my car using the amazing tiger glue! My entire life savings did not pay for a car that was glued together and fixed using scrap yard parts.  Upon no avail we contacted a body panel specialist who listed 19 FAULTS with the car just from looking at the surface of the car body and engine. We were told NOT TO USE THE CAR as it had appeared to have been in a bump of some sort. We contacted Mark sending 3 letters on different occasions with only one reply which conveniently didn't answer any of my questions and failed to book a road safety check like promised. Why is that? Who knows maybe it has something to do with where my car had taken itself in the 156 miles that were added on the mileage.  PLEASE stay away from this company, do not put your life savings/ money into what you think is your dream car, go somewhere else. We STILL have this unuseable car and have been robbed of our entire life savings, please don't do the same.
