I have never felt so welcome when walking into a dealership! Gary and Luke are full of knowledge about their cars and offer some amazing advice! Never once did I feel pressured into buying the car I drove away with! I will defiantly being doing my next purchase with them.
My sales enquiry was handled start to finish by the owner, who was also responsible for expertly detailing the car himself. My wife and I were given the keys of the Audi TT Mk2 2.0litre Quattro and allowed to take the car for an hours test drive, a very enjoyable experience at Essential Cars.
Essential Cars Ltd confirmed he had no workshop and MOT was completed by 3rd party. As RAC approved dealer, alarmingly, new battery had to be fitted after journey home as cell gone (why not checked prior to sale). Being worried I had a Land Rover specialist check car over and he found all discs and pads shot to pieces needing immediate replacement (after passing MOT in Jan with no advisories!!!). Also front wishbones needed replacing as shuddering under braking! Total bill nearing £2000. This after a pre sale inspection! Dealer paid cost price of brake pads and battery but I was left £1500 bill to pay and this after buying from an RAC approved dealer!

Hello Peter, Its always nice for people to hear both sides of the story, the car in question was a 80,000 mile Discovery which is a used car, like many used car dealers we do not do our own MOTs, when you called about the brakes after 6 weeks of ownership you had completed just over 3000 miles from the point of sale, that is quite excessive mileage in 6 weeks, however we did agree to pay for all the pads and the battery, your report of the bushes were "the garage says they have play in them" all bushes on used cars will have play, we did ask if you could return the car for us to review the matter of the bushes but you had already had them done, and by the sounds of things you have maybe become a victim of walking into a repair garage without knowledge and had additional work done that was not necessary, we are very sorry you feel this way and we could have helped if the A. the car had been brought back to us for repairs and B if we had been made aware of the bushes before you replaced them.
