Abridged version. My working life was based in the oil and gas industry where we worked under the following. Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost. IN MY opinion this branch of the Evans Halshaw works with one KPI Cost. Buying the car could not have been more helpful, dealing with the brakes issue nightmare. Initial contact with the Business manager regarding the brakes made on the 26th January where I informed him the there was a significant shudder when breaking. 27th January received a screenshot of the inspection report showing brakes were fine, sent email back stating they were not fine and the car was now "off the road", however I would get an AA inspection carried out on them, and if found not fit Evans Halshaw would pay, this was rejected, however I could take the car to the nearest Evans Halshaw garage, which in my case was Glasgow 18 miles away. On the 10th of February EH Glasgow confirmed the discs were warped and needed replaced, also as company policy dictated the pads would be replaced. After numerous phone calls and emails, I was told (incorrectly) that the issue was resolved, but due to internal procedures it may take longer to resolve. After agreeing the cost of the repair the car was booked into EH Glasgow and the brakes are now fine. As off the 10th of March I have heard nothing back from EH Blackburne . I just wonder how many of the 123 inspections are actually just tick boxes. Certainly took the shine off my wives new purchase. Never again

We bought a used car recently for our daughter, from Evans Halshaw Blackburn. This is a new experience for us as we usually buy new cars from this dealership. We visited on several occasions and were able to test drive the car on two occasions. The experience was brilliant. The staff, especially Adam, Craig and Nick were exceptional. They went the extra mile for us to ensure that this experience was extremely smooth and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you guys!

I am disappointed to rate this experience with even one star. Unfortunately, the service provided was far below expectations, lacking honesty and integrity. I strongly advise avoiding this dealership if you value your time and money. Initially, I received an online quotation from Evan Halshaw to sell my car for £11,032, factoring in minor chips on 4-5 panels. Considering this fair price and seeking convenience, I booked an appointment at the Blackburn branch. However, after reading reviews, I called ahead to inquire about the potential of the price being knocked down as I would need to bring my two young children (aged 4 months and 18 months) with me. I was assured that the online valuation should remain consistent as long as I was honest when describing the condition online, I still allowed for a £500 variance and proceeded with the appointment. Upon arrival, I encountered an indifferent attitude. Once my car had been inspected, I was smugly informed by the sales representative that the offer was only £9500, a significant £1500 reduction with very little explanation provided. Requesting to speak with the manager, I questioned the discrepancy between the online quote and the offered price, to which the manager cited "fluctuating markets." While I understand market changes, a £1500 difference seemed excessive. I asked if my description when getting the online quotation was accurate, the Manager agreed and they had not found any other problems/damages with the car. To illustrate my frustration at the ludicrous offer, I shared competing offers from carwow that I had received that morning, including one from Evan Halshaw's Wigan branch for £10,400, and another for £10,650. All the Manager could say at this point was that the other dealerships obviously haven’t done their research. It's frustrating to have placed trust in their service, only to waste time and inconvenience myself, my children, and a friend who accompanied us so I could get home after selling the car. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this dishonest company based on my experience. It seems that their tactic is to get you in to the dealership with their inviting valuations and then chip you down for no reason once you’ve gone to the effort to get there. I hope nobody else gets stung like I have

We were dealt with by Nick Samworth who guided us to the car which is right for us. Pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. Made the stress of a major purchase a pleasant experience. No pushy sales strategies or pressure. The rest of the team were friendly and helpful too.

The salesman, James Allen, couldn’t have been more helpful. He kept m e updated on delivery status, during what must have been trying times for the dealership, and when I collected my new car he ensured that I totally understood everything I needed to know. I couldn’t be more satisfied.

1st and last time we will deal with this company. Hubby traded his car in for a new car and we paid balance in cash. Car was delivered to us and looked lovely. On checking mot it had an advisory for rear discs. Brakes were grinding on. Mot is 1st one since registration. Hubby rang salesman Mark Black and refused to have new discs fitted. Hubby emailed Mark to ask if we could have discount if we went to an Evan's Halshaw garage. No reply and that was 2 weeks ago. Shocking customer service in this current pandemic. Moral of story don't buy a car that you havent been to see and test drived! Lesson learned.

I run a small garage working on many makes of cars....... Most parts are available aftermarket but some parts can only be obtained from dealers only....... You can phone Ford's and get straight through to sales or service but try and ring parts!!!!!! It's rings non stop!!!! It appears Evans halshaw Blackburn will bend over backwards to sell cars to customers but that's it after sales care is diabolical buy a car off them but be damned. If you can buy a part for it unless it's on their ramps for a service then they're straight on the phone trying to push hundreds of quids worth of parts your car doesn't need....... But as a private garage trying to get parts forget it .......... Take my advice Ford parts plus in Burnley answer their phone instantly and phone back when promised and very friendly staff...... So to sum it up if your buying ford don't expect any after sales service because it's non existent once you part with your money and leave the showroom they've had your money and hit their sales targets don't want to know you after that if I could leave a minus 5 star review I would ............. Buy a vauxhaul or VW you can get through to their parts department's

I recently bought a used Ford Mondeo from Evans Halshaw, Blackburn. As I live in Cumbria and was unable to collect it Ivor Stewart arranged for it to be delivered to me. Ivor was helpful and friendly, especially in returning items I had left in the part ex car. It was excellent service, and I am more than happy with my car. Thank you for going above and beyond Ivor, especially at this difficult time.
