I bought a 2009 Ford Kuga 0n 1/9/20. Drove 200 yards and the Engine Management Light came on, Back to ford, 5 minutes driving. Told it was a turbo problem after being put on a code reader, they cleared the fault and i was told it was safe to take home , 35 miles. EML came on on the motorway going home. Very dangerous. Took it back . Swapped to a 2014 KUGA after being lied to about my px car being gone after trying to cancel the sale. nothing but hard work. Picked up the car a week later and it was filthy. I was told 6 months warranty and only given 3 after purchase. The car had a noisy Diff once I was on the motorway. Called the next day explained about the Diff, the car was collected and i was carless. They said there was nothing wrong with it at first, 2 weeks to decide it was the DIFF. Told i would be getting a new one. then reconditioned one, then it was being sent to non ford garage. Nearly 6 weeks after 1st purchase £8000 down, and still waiting. Very short version
Excellent customer service from Ryan who gave us a no fuss no obligation quote on a new eco sport st-line. We bought it and very happy with our new car.
I received a call from the dealership to offer for me to discuss my options on upgrading my car ( previously bought from this dealership) I was sceptical at first but Im so glad I did . Ryan was very helpful and talked me through the pros and cons and gave excellent advice . It was a smooth journley from the initial call to driving away in my new car . Even during COVID they managed to deliver a quaity service . Will definitley use again and I recommend this dealership .
Thanks to Reece Rainey at Evans Halshaw Ford Burnley for being so patient with me with my recent car purchase. Reece was helpful and made me feel at ease and under no pressure. The turnaround was fab with same day drive away and Reece ensured that the car had a full year MOT and also set up ford car insurance for me. This was a great help as I had been without a car and eager to get back on the road! All in all I would certainly be happy to return in the future and I would recommend to family and friends. Avoid Evans Halshaw Ford in Burnley. Disgraceful
Any evidence for this review can be provided. I found at a car online. Rang and asked for more detail about its spec. They couldn't tell me and wouldn't give me the VIN number so i could check myself. So I opted to get the car sent here so I could check it etc (£200, refunded if the car is not purchased. Their terms and conditions state 5 day after refusal of purchase). All went fine, got a call, 'car is here'. Went down the next day, checked it over and test drove it. I wasn't totally happy with the spec or condition so didn't buy the vehicle, which they blatantly didn't seem happy about. Asked about the refund and they said they would sort it out, which i believed they would. It has now been 1 month and the money has still not been refunded despite emails, phone calls and visits. The last time they fobbed me of with 'the accountant is not there so cannot refund'. So the national group Evans Halshaw have 1 man who can refund for the entire country apparently. I gave them ample opportunity to sort this and they didn't. Perhaps it is the managers idea of 'payback' for me not buying the car. I have now got the bank involved to get the money back. DO NOT use this dealership. They have low reviews online for a reason The service i got from another dealership where i did buy from was miles ahead of this one in terms of service and professionalism and i would gladly recommend them 'J A Taylor Car Sales - Rossendale' I advise using any other dealership, even if it means paying more. I am not the only person this has happened to from reading other reviews. The behavior shown by EH Burnley is quite pathetic. It is only £200 but it is the principle of the matter. Again please go elsewhere for your car. Learn the lessons from mine and others experience here.

Found a car online, went to Evans Halshaw Ford Burnley all nice at start and promise the world. The car had some body work issues was told they will be sorted so was happy with it and went ahead with purchase. Then when it came to collecting car nothing had been done apart from a dent in the door, all the scratches and scuffs where still there! They had even done the MOT! They said wait a hour and we will have it done. But due to it being a weekend they said the work that needs to be done on car will have to be done Tuesday due to paintshop being closed. Come back on Tuesday and 1 out of many jobs had been done!!! RIDICULOUS SERVICE! Then the business manager tried to tell us that this is how they would sell a car and I said well they shouldn’t have promised all the issues would have been sorted before selling the car! AVOID SALESMAN NICK! Needs to be taken back to training in customer service! On the other hand Kieron (salesman) who completed our final paperwork was a pleasure and he apologised on him behalf. If your going to buy see Kieron.

Booked my 2 year old vehicle in for simple warranty job at Evans Halshaw Ford in Burnley, no contact from service department for 2 days despite 15 phone calls to fords call centre ! You can't get a direct line to the service desk and was put on hold for 45 minutes then to be told everyone had gone home ! After voicing my anger at this to the chap on the service desk the next day I was told I should of took my vehicle somewhere else TOP CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Finally picked my van up 3 days later for a 2 hour job and it blew up on the motorway 3 miles from the MAIN FORD DEALERS garage we had just collected it from ! I rang the garage to advise them of this and they told me to phone the AA recovery ! 2 hours on the hard shoulder and the AA recovery informed me the turbo inter cooler pipe and hoses that had been removed by FORD BURNLEY to fit a alternator had not been fitted properly and I took pictures and video to document this . To add insult to my experience with this dealer I had sold the vehicle and the prospective buyer was driving when the vehicle blew up on the motorway ! The buyer then informed me that although he liked the vehicle due to the events he was going to pull out of the sale despite driving 450 miles for the vehicle ! Evans halshaw burnley just cost me £12000 Despite having a fleet of ford vehicles I hope I never have to visit this dealer again and maybe they should train there staff better to avoid reviews like this ! AA Report below ....... Patrol found the following fault Patrol found intercooler pipe from cooler to inlet has come offResecured and checked all other intercooler pipe around alternator as alternator has been replaced todayFound every jubilee clip on all hoses loose or insecureTightened all hosesOil and water levels okDiag codes above all reference boost pressure caused by loose pipeCleared fault codes and member road testedMember reports vehicle is now driving as it should with full power and no lights on dash - Consult repairing garage to have vehicle inspected for any other faults Immediately.

Terrible after sales service from Evans Halshaw Ford in Burnley. Turned out the mini we bought needed a new engine, they had it for three months and returned it. Two days later we noticed a water leak, turned out the water pump was leaking. Back to the garage, and two months later we still haven't had it back. Extremely poor at keeping you updated, and diabolical at getting faults fixed. My advice? Go somewhere else
