Don't normally leave reviews but feel compelled to share quite frankly the worst customer care I've ever experienced. Advised that car had a service book with 3 stamps, including a service performed by Evans Halshaw prior to sale. Car delivered with no documentation whatsoever. Politely queried and requested it be sent to me via post / email. After repeated requests over the next 4 weeks (including escalation to the Used Car Manager), became suspicious that the 3 services did not in fact exist, and requested full and honest disclosure. 8 weeks, 15 requests and 3 online complaints later - still nothing, only the odd response with false promises, and not even a hint of an apology 😂 Appears they are now deploying the "ignore him and he'll hopefully give up" tactic. The Used Car Manager in particular is either incompetent or doesn't care, and needs urgent customer care training. I am now pursuing legal action for false representation and misselling. As a side note, car was also delivered 3 days late with significant water ingress, a flooded footwell, no mats (which cost as little as £12), internal stains and dirt, an overpowering smell of mould and not even a 50p air freshener to mask it a little. Service you wouldn't even expect this from a dodgy back street garage, let alone a reputable nationwide dealership like Evans Halshaw. I have been truly shocked by their behaviour - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! P.S. To end with a laugh, this was the automated response from the online complaint submission: "Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we are now investigating your concern with a matter of urgency to ensure your issue is resolved as soon as possible" 🤣🤣

I would strongly urge you to NOT TO BUY from this group. I bought a Clio from their dealer in Coatbridge, Scotland, over a month ago. I paid in full.I also paid for the car to be delivered, totalling just over £7000.The salesman was Jamie. I was informed the car was in great condition and had just gone through a 150 point inspection and a new MOT. This was my daughters first car and she was paying for it. On the day of delivery, i was sent an email by the transport company, informing me that the exhaust had fallen off. They also sent me photos of scuffs to the wheels, chipped windscreen, scratches all over the car etc etc. All these faults after a 150 point inspection and a brand new MOT!! I immediately rang the dealer and was told they knew nothing about it and would call me back. After 3 days i rang them to say no one had called me, and i now wanted a full refund. I was told by Jamie that a business manager would call me. Days later, still nothing. I rang but was told that they would not return my money until they received the V5 document back from DVLA. 3 weeks later and still no money and no V5. I then contacted Trading Standards who advised me to demand a full and immediate refund. I did this 4 days ago and we finally received funds today. They had totally lied about the V5. It never came. There also has been no apology. Buy elsewhere

Mohammad Yasin in response to BUY ELSEWHERE
Thank god im reading the reviews before purchasing a potential car from them im 4hrs away in England. Allow this
Having spoken to a sales person over the phone I was told she'd definitely work towards me getting a better deal so I arranged to go in person travelling 35 miles only for the meeting to last 5 minutes and being told that she couldn't get me any better deal after all...don't waste my time with sales crap just tell me over the phone and I'll go to Arnold Clark or Macklin where the sales people actually know what they're talking about should've listened to friends that told me don't go to Evan Halshaw...Rubbish
To begin with my car took nearly a moth to arrive, upon receipt of the car it was clearly not as described or made to look in the video walkaround. There was damage to the exterior, some quite severe. Also Under the back seats there was rubbish and sweets stuck in the carpet. I was notified by the delivery driver who drove it to me about a juddering on the steering wheel, which I had no idea would be as bad as it was. Anybody who used that car over a certain speed couldn't have missed it. Low speed braking even caused judder. This was one amongst a few issues. Then moving onto the aftersales service of this particular branch. Its terrible. The turnover of staff meant I could never get back to the previous person I was dealing with. It also meant that receiving a straight answer or even any answer sometimes was hard. Once I had received the car nobody was interested. With Scotland being such a long way from me I couldn't go up there. I did visit my local branch who unfortunately weren't able to help, I know people who have worked in Evans halshaws and stratstone, I dont think that's the issue. I think Coatbridge is just a bad apple.

Got my car from Sean today at evens halshaw and wow I couldn’t not recommend him more!! From start to finish he was amazing and I would not go any where else for my car😆😆
Great service from the team great deal on car will be back
You buy an expensive car .the service fault light comes on .you take it to get checked out ,they can't get the service light to go off .so they say you need to take it to another garage any garage because we don't have the tools to repair the car you bought from them .what a farce .the customer needs to know this before they buy a car from this garage or any evans halshaw .I don't understand how they get a traders licence to sell cars when the can't repair them .their warrenty is not worth the paper its writen on .look carefully at the exclusions .

Terrible experience with mechanics wrongly diagnosing problems and then the service manager being rude and arrogant. Please do not take your vehicle here.
This is for the service dep't at Evans Halshaw Ford in Coatbridge not sales. I have been trying to confirm my car booking for 2 weeks with no luck at all the lack of communication is ridiculous. Every time you call the garage all you get is a call centre that cant answer any questions and also admit Coatbridge is a nightmare to deal with.
