Gave 1 star as system does not allow none! I bought our second vauxhall car in a year from them complete with servicing plan. After 3.5 years the in- car entertainment stopped working. I returned it to Evans Halshaw who could run diagnostics on it for £90 which may enable them to identify the problem. I refused as £90 with no actual solution seemed ridiculous. After years of emails back and forth with vauxhall ‘customer care’ I relented and booked it in for them to find nothing wrong with the system (in the end they waived the diagnostic fee, shame they couldn’t have seen reason 3 years ago). They can now only suggest paying £1000+ for a new head unit which might fix the problem. Vauxhall provide sub standard parts and then Evans Halshaw subject their customer to expensive trial and error because their servicing departments are not trained to actually diagnose problems unless a computer spits out the problem for them. The interior looks swanky but you can’t replace with alternative aftermarket parts because the console is a specific size trapping you into seemingly endless costs and replacement Vauxhall parts that may or may not be faulty. They can’t even estimate a date when the parts will be available because there is no date in the computer (apparently picking up the phone to find out is beyond the skill set of this organisation). My advice, buy anything else and save yourself of the hassle of dealing with this company.

What an amazing experience I had today at Evans Halshaw - Hyundai, Leeds. I called in for information and ended up booking a new car in the space of an hour or so! A life changing decision for me. I was assisted by John who was such a nice man. Very approachable, down to earth. John listened to my requirements in a car and came up with the best solution. He is very knowledgeable and I learnt so much on my visit. John really went the extra mile in the whole process. I am so very grateful for Johns support today. I am absolutely over the moon and so happy with the outcome. Thank you John and Evans Halshaw. I would definitely recommend the services and give them a 10/10.

What can I say. When I think it can’t get any worse it does. Firstly car was booked in for a new radio, 2 weeks later I got the car back, scratched up and no new radio, to be told this radio had not been ordered at all. I took the car and was told to wait for the new radio to arrive. Received a phone call a week later, asking me to bring the car back as they need the code of my existing radio in order to order the new one. Again I had to bring the car (at a booked time) back to be told there was no one to take the code right now and it would be a couple of hours wait. 4 months later the radio arrived, I was told Evans Halshaw would repair the scratches that had occurred last time it was in. When I collects the car, the low and behold the scratches were still there!! Resulting in another trip to Evans halshaw. Oh and not to mention when your booking the car in, they will ask if you want a courtesy car which is NEVER booked and they tell you when you arrive there is nothing available. Useless useless useless!! Do not go here unless you want a lot of stress. Staff are incompetent.

After enquiries to buy a car, I asked questions and was promised photos to be emailed/sent and a return phone call within 5 minutes. This was 20 hours ago, I’ve heard nothing even after sending emails and a phone call with a promise to ring me back. I’m pleased this has happened before I parted with my money. It’s hard to find a good car trader, this obviously isn’t a good one.
Was welcomed into the dealership by Julie Jammeh. As I had decided to wait for the checks to be done, she informed me of the expected wait time. I was invited to help myself to a hot drink. Throughout the time spent waiting, Julie kept me informed of progress in a professional manner. The time spent waiting seemed to pass quite quickly. I opened a Service Plan, with Julie explaining things, as appropriate. I have also booked my MOT, with Julie advising she will also keep me up to date on progress with that. Very impressed.

Absolutely terrible service from the salesman, sales manager and dealer principle. I have previously placed a deposit on a car which i was not able to collect for 3 or so weeks, to then be told they cannot keep the car off sale for so long (even though I have paid a deposit). The car has since been readvertised at a lower price to original sales price, and now an even higher price to original. Market changes, I get it. However, I am now in a position to buy and collect said car, but the dealership cannot honour the original agreed price (£360 lower than currently advertised) because nobody is allowed to change vehicle prices... apart from the pricing team... When asked to speak to the sales manager, he was extremely short on the phone, not exactly pleasant or looking to get a sale! If you want to buy a car and get ripped off - buy at Evans Halshaw!!
