I visited Evans Halshaw twice asking them to get back with some details on a Transit Custom MSRT, both times they did not get back to me. I revisited today, and thought I would give them the benefit of doubt, only to be told at the door: 'I cannot talk to the public, you will have to call us on the phone.' The service is poor at best, which really disappointed me, as I wanted to stay local with my Ford dealer. To be completely honest, the service wasn't much better 20 years ago when visiting them across the road - when making this inquiry I thought things would be better, how wrong I was. If you want a quick response and value for money, don't go to Evans Halshaw Ford dealers.
On 2nd January 2021 I visited Evans Halshaw Ford with my step-son who wished to sell his VW Polo. We had a definite confirmed appointment for 2pm, the appointment having been made the day before. When we arrived, the used car centre was shut. When we tried to get in, there were several people inside. One individual came to the door. He told us that all purchases and sales of second-hand vehicles had ceased due to COVID. That the appointments online were generated automatically and would not be honoured. We asked if anything could be done since we were here with the car but we were told that nothing could be done. We should email a request and “the boss” would give us a quote with everything being handled online with no contact. I emailed. I got no reply. To cap it all, at no point did I receive an apology for Evans Halshaw’s cock-ups, rather I was treated as though it was me that was in the wrong. Let’s be clear, I am not criticising the company for having strict rules around COVID – that is a good thing. However: Why was I given an appointment by the company’s online business systems if the COVID policy had changed to prevent these happening? Crucially, since the appointment that was made online must have been communicated to the staff as well as to me, why did nobody call me or email me or leave a message to advise me that the meeting was cancelled? There appeared to be plenty of people sitting around in the office. I have no idea what they were doing in the circumstances but, since they weren’t selling cars or buying them, one would have thought they could have found the time to contact me about the cancellation and then subsequently to answer my email request. As of 16th January I have received no reply to my email and the car has long since been sold elsewhere. And to cap it all, I wrote a letter of complaint to the Dealer Principal and did not even receive the courtesy of a reply. Communication is clearly in short supply at this branch, along with basic good manners!

Sales department were good and very helpful. However, after sales were terrible, the car wasn't ready to drive away as discussed. Flat tyre and no diesel in, even though id already paid for the fuel it. Didnt get MOT certificate until a few months later, although i kept trying to get in contact to get one. When i eventually went online to get it, it said tyre slightly damaged, If i had known that then i wouldn't have purchased the vehicle before it was fixed. When i went in to speak to them they said it wasnt their problem as it passed the MOT, however they were happy to sell the car to me knowing that the tyre was damaged.
Poor sales team at Evans Halshaw Fordstore in Lincoln. Arrived to find the salesman I was meant to meet was not on site and had taken the keys to the cars I was meant to be viewing. Was misled into the value of my car even though they admitted an e mail saying the value I would receive. Went to their complaints procedure and 3 weeks later still no phone call!!

I have just purchased a used car from Evans Halshaw Fordstore in Lincoln. The sales team where very helpful and friendly. When I arrived there, a salesman called Ryan came over to me he was very polite and very patient in helping me purchase my car .I can honestly say nothing was to much trouble for him. Thank you Ryan and the team
So nearly purchased a car from Evans Halshaw Ford in Lincoln. Came to our senses just in time, sales people were so very rude. Not been bullied since I was a kid. Can't believed we sat through such a strange sales performance. The miss information and inaccurate attempted rip off presentation should be filmed. Really should be avoided.
I purchased a brand new mustang from this dealership, after 2 weeks the front reg plate fell off 3 times, I took it back when it wouldn’t stick any more and the service staff said they were too busy to attach it properly with bolts and suggested I buy some tape and fix it myself!!! Shocking service!!! After kicking off they did fix it but they have lost any chance of servercing the car in the future!! Typical main dealership!! Once you have spent your hard earned money they don’t want to know!!! Although I will say the salesman was really good, but your after sales service is rubbish !!

My son bought a car from Evans Halshaw Ford in Lincoln and they let him take the car home without checking it was fully road worthy fact it hadn't been checked at all front head light out tyre pressure dangerous which was picked up on test drive by the employer who took it out with my son in and said it all would be sorted nothing done total disgrace to let a car on the road when not road worthy hope this helps other people to check everything and don't believe what they tell you.
