Often the quality of a company is only on display when an issue arises, Salesmen very kind and polite when selling but uncaring and uncompromising if any issues arise. We purchased a larger car after the birth of our first child. Informed that the turbo had been replaced after purchasing so was really disappointed when issues arose a few months after buying with engine management lights which were according to a Seat specialist, likely linked to the turbo. The car also failed the MOT emissions test also after the first year.l, an issue I've never experienced. Contacted the branch we used and tried going through complaints as we were told initially there would be a warranty of 12 months for the replacement turbo. However, although the new turbo has collapsed after only 1 year and 9000 miles, no apology or offer of any kind to help rectify the issue. Told that someone would call back a few times and I naively waited and expected a call before having to call back to try and sort out. The seat specialist we spoke to were very surprised to hear a warranty of only 12 months for a new turbo and it makes you question the quality of the work completed. Both cars I've purchased in my life have been from Evans Halshaw but won't be using them in the future if this isn't rectified. I plan on going back through complaints to say that the issue hasn't been resolved through the local dealership we used to buy the car, but not holding my breath for any sort of support or apology but this is a lesson learned the hard way. Not hostile or rude but generally don't appear to try and resolve issues, instead give a 'not my problem anymore' response

Had a booked appointment at 10am, was left waiting with no explanation for nearly half an hour then saw the salesman deal with someone else. Waste of time and zero customer care. What happened to being civil and just apologise and explain your running late.
Purchased a Ford Custom on the 30th August 2023, vehicle not checked prior to delivery, raised 3 faults 2 days after purchase. Was advised cannot book me in until 10 days later. I agreed to waiting upto 2 hours for repairs to be carried out. Ended up waiting 4 hours to be told part on order, streaky wipers not replaced & Addblu not topped up also in the 4 hours. I advised the dealership to arrange a loan vehicle and to take mine in to fix when part arrives. I was told they don’t do loan vehicles. At this point, I was advised to Email head of business, what a joke he was. No response from my email and he’s now working his notice period. What a coincidence! Head of business has then passed the buck onto stock controller who calls me not to apologise but offering to taking back the vehicle. I agreed as I can’t deal with incompetent people like this particular dealership. Vehicle returned 4th October 2023, stock controller emailed saying within 48 hours monies will be paid back into my account. It’s not 5 days in, no refund has taken place. I emailed him asking about the refund, his answer was I have sent everything to Head office same day. Not saying I will chase and come back to you, not apologising. Asked for compensation and was told he can’t offer this. Looks like a day court is on the cards. Pendragon who is head of Evans Halshaw, they are no better. No direct phone number to resolving issues, when you have do find a number 0333 323 9255 (this is the most waste of time of a number, call it and see for yourself, voicemails will call you back, the line disconnects when you choose make a complaint. No one from there side has been Intouch to reassure me about anything. BUYERS STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!.

Paid deposit , paid balance 4 days later received purchase invoice phoned up hours before car pick up , sold to another.Still have all my money , In solicitors hands these are Morden day pirates STAY CLEAR....would be no stars but you have to give one apparently

Just picked our new puma Up this morning from Warren. We have done dealings with him before in Blackpool. He really looks after you in what your price range is. Always beats everyone eles on a part ex change. Great service all round Thank you Warren Lynn and Paul Sinnott.
Car was delivered in a terrible condition!! Smelt of cigarettes, covered in dirt on the interior and exterior, passenger headlight bulb was out, the tyre pressure sensor was gone on the front right and the car required a new gearbox!! After countless emails and phone calls we received very little help/communication. Car was in the garage for over a month and all that was resolved was the new gearbox, still no valet, tyre pressure sensor wasn’t fixed which we had to buy ourselves and bought the bulb too. After cleaning the car ourselves, the smell still persists and have now had to pay for a professional valet. The car was purchased at the start of December and we did not receive it back to us until end of January after a number of promises of dates it would be returned to us. It is now February and I am still yet to receive a logbook. Absolutely appalling customer service.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE OR USE THEIR SERVICE. Evans Halshaw took out a routine service on my car as well as did some work totalling £150. The total cost was over £300. Evans Halshaw crashed and wrote off my car upon returning it to me from the service. (This is a separate issue which is ongoing.) Evans Halshaw will not refund me the cost of the service or the work carried out even though I never saw the car again. This is absolutely disgusting and the firm should be ashamed of themselves. There are ongoing issues with the insurance claim as EH will not allow me any details I need to be able to carry out my gap insurance claim due to GDPR! I am therefore left paying for the car, without a car and likely out of a job as I can’t get a new car in the meantime. Whilst I argue they should have given me the full cost to buy the same car at same quality or the cost for a new one, this has been totally dismissed and they are adamant I must Claim on my gap- which I can’t because they won’t give me any information. DISGRACEFUL.

I wouldn’t buy from them disgraceful service, poor salesman, wanted to pay cash for a car. And still took weeks as we were a telephone customer, when ringing to get updates was told busy with customers, well hello what do you think we are. Took business elsewhere. Disgraceful salesman. Shame they hire ppl with no person skills.
I bought a lovely car from the Evans Halshaw Ashton branch, but I live near to the Trafford garage, I got a mot and service package through evanshalshaw in Trafford, they said they would contact me when the car was due in, I didn’t get a call, email nothing then realised my car was 10 days out of mot, when I arranged to have the car done, twice the service dept refused to collect the car, until I contacted customer service, the staff at Trafford are very rude, from the desk to the service including the patronising manager, they couldn’t be bothered to sign the service book or do a curtesy wash even though the ticket on the keys stated in was in the wash bay, customer service don’t check up on the complaint you put in, so they don’t know how it’s even been dealt with, I have cancelled my plan, I would not recommend Trafford site of Evanhalsaw

I totally concur with your words terrible company treat people like car stock numbers , just hope more people use these reviews and don’t use the old Trafford Site on Chester road Going to write to newspaper as well , shocking !
