Booked through the right channels for a clutch change on my insignia. They told me when to drop the car in so I assumed it would be started the same day and giving some slack, I thought id pick it up at the end of the second day. I`m sure its not a 16 hour job. I`m a qualified mechanic and although I no longer work in the trade, I don`t think a Vauxhall Insignia would warrant more than 16 hours to change a clutch. I gave them a call to find, the car hasn`t even gone into the workshop 4 days later. Now that`s poor service. You are as good as your last days work and I suggest having read recent poor reviews on your site, you pull your socks up a bit half quick. Come on people. Your cars are great but evidently, you are not !!

Worst people ever took £100 ( to reserve a car ) from me this morning then phoned me up after taking it and tried to arrange a time for me to collect it , I’ve now left my holiday early to collect this car to now find out the car was sold yesterday (03/02/20) please please save your money and buy somewhere else
Having arrived at the Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Portsmouth showroom about 5 salesmen were outside talking to each other, when we were ready to to speak to someone there was no one about. We eventually managed to get the attention of a sales person and told to wait, then had to wait about 20mins before we were actually seen. The week after we returned to pick the car up, only to drive it out of the forecourt and a warning light came on, we had to take it to quickfit where they found the back tyres need replacing and there was a nail in one of the tyres. Took back to Evans Halshaw and they replaced the tyres. Had the check been done we had the car this would have been picked up. The car stinks of smoke so they have obviously not valeted the car before we picked it up. Customer service was terrible and I would not buy a car from them again.

My overall experience with Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Portsmouth was awful! We have purchased a Volkswagen cc 63 plates back in 2017 from them and at the purchase we have asked for the best cover they had for wear and tear parts even if we were due to pay more for it. 1 year and a half later we had an issue with the airbag light that was staying on all the time we went and they fixed it and after an hour when we left the garage it was back on. We left it as we did not have the time to go back. After that we has an issue with the bend lights and we booked the car for service. We were told that the sensor will not be covered by the warranty and they quoted us with £550 for the lam-belt that we wanted to change to keep the value of the car. We checked the warranty and we have discover that it would not cover anything. It said the following: we will cover any electrical or mechanical issue except the list below” the list literally included every part that a car has. Honestly I am not aware of a part that a car has and it is not in the list 😂 they have also advised that they are not able to find an issue with the bend lights and they suggest that the entire headlights are changed £500 a piece. We took the car out and took it to a Volkswagen dealership and surprise we were quoted £330 for the lam-belt and the headlight only needed 2 light bulbs changed of £5 a piece! This is disgraceful, i am never going back to this dealership ever!!!
Great service from all concerned, i only went there for some advice about a new car and ended up buying one, no pressure just honest advice.

Recently bought a second hand car at the Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Portsmouth showroom. Was dealt with very efficiently by one of the young staff, Max Sandy. He was pleasant and not too pushy. Gave us a very good resume of the car's features as it was quite complicated. So far, a very nice experience. Everything was ready when we wanted it.

Since purchasing my car in June 2016 from Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Portsmouth, its been backwards and forwards to the dealership. Firstly in November 2016 to give them a chance to fix a major fault - they took 18 months to sort this out and ignored requests to return the car. 3 smaller faults reported in September 2016 still present in October 2018. Another major fault in October 2018 - they denied any faults or problems. Dishonest servicing, Inaccurate servicing. Absolutely appalling customer service. Due to their inability to record servicing work done, customers are loosing out on their consumer rights. Only when Vauxhall CEO got involved did they start working on the fault. Avoid Evans Halshaw Portsmouth at all costs - nationwide.

Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Portsmouth has an awful service centre. With my 2017 MOT the broke a brake caliper when replacing the brake pads. I drove off the forecourt and nearly rear ended a car and the brake pedal hit the floor. This years gem is an intermittent autolock problem cased by the replacement of wires on the rear door. After returning the car three times they say the triggering of the autolock after 30 seconds by opening the rear door (whether it is open or closed) causes the car to lock up ... and this is working as designed. The occasions where the door can be opened and closed without the autolock kicking in seems to be ignored by them. As for service ... After escalating the issue to Evans Halshaw Portsmouth's management I took the car to the centre last Wednesday. Seven days later I have to call them to find out what the status is. I get told it is working as designed. The laughable thing was I turned up unannounced to collect the car. My car was parked behind the building and my keys/paper work was buried in someones draw ... Sorry chaps, 1 out of 10 on how to hack off the hacked off customer. The place is expensive and totally focused on profit, over and above customer care. I would suggest looking for alternatives before using this place.
