looking for a Mokka x, drove the 45 miles there to have a look at one i'd seen online....i appreciate times are strange at the moment. I'd taken my driving licence and had bank cards, nhs card etc with me but wasn't allowed to test drive as I didn't have a utility bill with me. Said I could log on to my electric account and show them on phone but not good enough. Feeling like a suspected criminal we went to leave- clearly not going to buy without driving. Popped into Arnold clark on way past saw a mokka and asked for test drive, not a problem, take it where you want after a dvla driver check. Got a phone call from E.H. that i could test drive, clearly decided I looked honest. Accompanied for test drive was a farce, only allowed on their approved 30mph route...husband asked if I could go onto dual carriage way but was told no!! Shocking behaviour and lost the sale as went back to Arnold Clark and put deposit on more expensive car. Will never return.

Absolutely shocking sales people - could not be bothered in the slightest. No interest in putting a bit of work in to secure a £17,500 sale. I actually had to chase them up. Eventually went with a company who could be bothered to make some effort. Keep up the good work Evan's Halshaw shiremoor, I'm sure you'll do well in the future.

The guy could not have had a worse start to the sale being interrupted four times by different customers but battle he did and with great fortitude in giving what can only be described as the best service I have experienced in thirty years of buying cars . Thanks Carl . If the queen ever has a salesman of the year command performance you'll top the billing .

Brought a car from Taylor the salesman recently and received “god tier” customer service from him and his supporting team throughout the dealership. Me and my wife saw the car online and within 2 hours we arrived at Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Shiremoor. The dealership itself was clean and welcoming with descent coffee in the waiting area. All the staff gave a nice smile when walking past which is a good sign. Taylor was smartly dressed and instantly created a good rapport with myself and my wife. He went over some of the key features of the car and ensured it had everything I wanted. I was impressed at his extensive knowledge of the different specs of the vehicle we were looking at with it being a Vauxhall dealership however this was good for us as we knew he had done his research and prepared for our arrival. Not too long after, we were then undertaking a lengthy test drive. It was nice for Taylor to sit in the back to let me and my wife be in the front of the car to get a real “feel” for the vehicle whilst again going over features which I did not know the vehicle had such as speed limiting etc. There was no pressure on the test drive (or the sale in general) and we drove it quite a good distance such as on the coast road etc without him saying go left here etc. It was a really nice experience and I felt I got a really good overview of the car. The vehicle itself was absolutely spotless inside and out and drove like a new model despite having over 50k on the clock. It was a credit to the valeters and technicians that worked on it – I was highly impressed to see new tyres, brake pads and disks and lots of fuel in the car. You could hardly hear the engine running – showing the vehicle and running gear had been well looked after. I actually couldn’t fault the vehicle. I understand of course with any used car that there will be imperfections. I brought some of these up and was reassured by Taylor that these would be rectified come pick up time – if I decided I liked the vehicle and again there was zero pressure – 5* to Taylor for his sales style and making me and wife feel so relaxed. Upon returning from the test drive we talked some numbers and got some trade in values for our 2 British classics. We were happy with the values for the most part. Although 1 of the trade-in values was less than we were expecting we were assured by Taylors sales manager Vitaly, that this was correct as they had done a thorough inspection to come to the conclusion that the car had been crash repaired. He even provided me with a copy of the HPI check for my piece of mind. This confirmed that Vitaly and the team we’re the real deal and made sure all cars on their pitch were the best of standards so I understood their valuation. It was at this point I began to see the benefits of buying from Evans Halshaw compared to other “dealerships”. We took a night to consider our options and went back unannounced the next day to re-discuss the purchase of the vehicle. Unfortunately, Taylor was dealing with another customer however we were then greeted by the ever-friendly Vitaly as he recognised us from the day before. This was a nice touch as he remembered our full names and made the experience personal. He offered us drinks and refreshments while we waited for Taylor. During this time Vitaly was very personable and really made us feel at home in the dealership. Although it wasn’t his job, I asked him about the car and he basically made us see why our new car was the right decision for us. He helped us out with a few extra’s such as warranty etc and I cannot thank him enough for this. He held his promises towards us and even came to speak to us when we sat with Taylor. All in all, we were extremely pleased with our experience of buying a car from Taylor and Vitaly and would highly recommend anyone to do the same. They were professional and kept it contact throughout the process. I have never been to a garage which has such a nice atmosphere and good, friendly people that actually want to help you. An absolute 5-star review and that’s only because I cannot choose any higher. Impeccable customer service from start to finish. I visited Evans Halshaw in Shiremoor, for diagnosis and repair of some issues I was experiencing with my Vauxhall Corsa. After an investigation, I was told I would need a number of repairs including a new ignition coil, and spark plugs. Unbeknownst to EH, I had recently had my ignition coil replaced, and this was still under warranty, with a different garage. On taking the car to the other garage, they showed that there was no problem with the ignition coil, and only new spark plugs were needed. Once these were replaced, the problems were completely alleviated, and I was £135 better off than I would have been taking EH at their word. I also had my brake pads, and brake fluid replaced for well under half the price quoted by EH. Investigation was also free from the other garage, and unfortunately I still wasted £50 for EH to misdiagnose my issues. I won't be returning This is the kind of thing you suspect that garages do, but often can't prove it. I honestly think they were trying to take advantage of me, as a female who knows little about cars.
Disgusted at how lazy the car salesman was at Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Shiiremoor. He wasn’t interested at all and everything I asked was an effort to him. You lost 2 sales as my parents are looking to change too. Evans halshaw you have problems having the likes of Carl working for you. #Bone idol waste of space. Avoid at all costs!

Went to view focus st at the weekend,was approached couple of times by different members of staff in reference to the car asked to come inside was left for 20mins plus as the member of staff went off with another customer in the end left and took my business else where. communication was very poor wouldn't have taking anything to explain the situation and be offered a cuppa whilst I waited .
Excellent service from start to finish, thanks Dave Costello for your professional and prompt turnaround of my Vauxhall corsa. 4 days - pretty good going. Thanks again.
