I have been a Motability customer since 1984, I have had two cars from Evans Halshaw Citroen in Stoke, the first time was not a great experience and Motability even gave me compensation for the service I received with my new car order, I thought it should have been Evans Halshaw since the errors were theirs not Motabilities, the second order was better but the third order is an ongoing nightmare, I went to place the order in December 2016, I am still waiting for the car but now know I will never get it, first off I was advised I couldn't order the car until I had changed from DLA to PIP, after a year of trying to get that sorted I finally found out that as a War Pensioner that was not the truth, so I ordered a new car, months went by but each time I contacted the Evans Halshaw I was given a progress report, the engines are being changed due to emission measures, the car is on the production line, the car is finished and awaiting delivery to the UK, the car is on it's way to the UK then the car has NEVER been ordered and the salesman was lying to me and apparently many other customers so has been sacked. you can't order the new car at the moment as the factory is not taking any new orders until next month but after phoning a number of other dealers who were happy to take the order knowing of no ban on new orders at the Citroen plant. Evans Halshaw did offer to wave the £113 Motability deposit payment but I had, had enough of their lies, I went to a Citroen Dealership in Stafford and placed an order with them, I am expecting my new car within a month, 23 months later than I should have received the new car. and TWO YEARS since I first approached Evans Halshaw to place the order, I have had to have all the tyres replaced, a new clutch (took over a month to repace) a repair to the new clutch and more servicing and MOT appointments because my existing car is so old now, After placing the order with the dealership in Stafford I received an email from Evans Halshaw to say they are no longer a Motability or even a Citroen dealership having lost the franchise with them both, so I never would have received my new car from them. I am currently taking legal action against Evans Halshaw for compensation for their lies and incompetence.
Where do I start. Unwelcoming premises, unable to keep to appointment times, terrible customer service, terrible knowledge of the cars. More concerning was noticing 2 near on bald front tyres which we were told should have been picked up on the health check. We then asked for service history to be told there wasn't one despite the car being sold for nearly £5000. My worst experience looking for a car ever!!!
This is the worst dealership I have ever seen. Staff are very rude and customer service is terrible. Still waiting for a refund on my deposit for over 24 days now. The sales manager is the most disrespectful and rude person I have ever came across. Would not buy a car from here even if it was for free. Stay away from these guys.

I purchased car on Saturday from Evans Halshaw Citroen in Stoke, sunday oil light kept coming on looked at car forums which said the car needed new oil and oil filter, phoned them to be told that it would have probably had one when it was prepared, I told them I had a check sheet which ticked that the paintwork was ok , they had missed a 2.5ft scratch on side of car that could be seen from 20ft away, I had this resprayed before I took ownership. They said they would have a look at the car to investigate and normally they charge £50 for first hour, having no faith in them, or there so called 3 month warranty which hasn't lasted 7 days, I will take the car to a kia dealership to have the work done, having paid over £6000 this is not what you should expect from such a big dealership., Having said that the salesmen were honest and truthful, the after sales is a rip off.

Collected my S/H Mercedes from Evans Halshaw in Stoke, only to find that two of the doors wouldn't lock so it had to go straight back to the workshop. This took just over three weeks to put right which in my view is excessive. If the car had gone through a pre-sale check this would have been noticed and rectified. The communication during this time was dreadful and I found myself constantly waiting for return calls. Three months on and the ABS light has come on, Evans Halshaw sent the AA out to collect the vehicle as I had taken out their extended guarantee, now it's another waiting game, so far five days waiting and the problem still not sorted and no courtesy vehicle offered. Although I took out this guarantee they still insisted that I pay £75 for a diagnostic check, what a cheek and nothing is mentioned about this in the paperwork. I will never deal with Evans Halshaw again and would deter anyone from dealing with them.
Had problem after problem with these dealers communication was terrible problems with the car took months on end to get sorted and still not all done would not ever buy another car from these and never recommend to anyone poor service staff don't seem to know what they are doing and fob you off all the time

The mileage on the car I bought was 60000 short of being true. This information was easily found on the DVLA's website yet they failed to notice despite having a HPI check done. When I brought it to their attention they were not interested at all.
