The worst car dealer and service department on the planet. Caused thousands of pounds of damage and refusing to take responsibility. Shoddy work to make money, rude service department, lies, tricks, empty promises. The only person is doing the job right is the receptionist. I'd give a minus rating but it's not possible.
I’ve been looking at 100 of cars and not quiet sure what I was after but after speaking to jack and taking up most of his time I’m now ready to put my order in and can’t wait for it to arrive

I applied for a quote via Carwow and the Salesperson Andy Hough got back to me within minutes, Andy came back with everything i had asked for. Im still at the quoting stages but I had to commend Andy because good feedback seems to be missed these days. Thank you Andy
Waited a while to get a Salesman at Evans Halshaw Peugeot Wakefield interested a bad start but it does get worse! We knew the car we wanted to buy and we asked for a test drive to seal the deal. 2 other cars blocking the car we were interested in were moved to allow it out then the bombshell .."I can't find the keys" No problems at this stage until 20 minutes later still no keys. The young salesman was keen to do a sale but even he was embarrassed by the farce and suggested one of his colleagues may have taken them home. His final comments to us asked if we would still be interested if and when they should find the keys.Benefit of doubt given we gave them an hour but we received no further communication. We bought the same vehicle down the road at Sandal minis who couldn't do enough to assist and yes keys were readily available! Oh and yes you guessed the call never came .Evans Halshaw probably don't read the reviews after all why should they they're not interested! Rated 1 because there's no zero, Avoid!!
Where do i begin???? I saw a car for sale located at Evans Halshaw Manchester, so i paid a £200 deposit and asked for it to be moved closer - all good so far! A week later I tried ringing the Evans Halshaw Peugeot branch in Wakefield to find out if they had any idea when my car would arrive. In total I rang 17 times and only on the last call did someone actually answer the phone. I enquired about the car and was told i would be put through to the relevant person - then i was promptly cut off!!!! I decided to look at other cars the next day and saw - being advertised for sale at the Wakefield branch- the car i had paid a deposit on!! I promptly went to the branch and enquired about the car, which the salesman was giving me the usual patter for, before telling him that i had actually paid a deposit for and requested the car be brought down. Salesman changed tack and said he would get the person who was dealing with it!! Long story short - i bought the car but it didn't have the SD card for the sat nav system. I was told it had been ordered and would be posted to me and i would receive it in 2 days time. Of course you can guess - it didn't arrive! I did get a voicemail 2 days after from the salesman who asked me to call him back - which i did, but as he was busy i asked the man who answered to pass on a message. to return my call - of course he didn't! Went to the showroom AGAIN 4 days later to find out where it was. The salesman told me that he had rang me, and i told him i had returned the call and that a message was passed on, of which he didn't receive. He handed over the SD card!! I asked why he hadn't tried calling again to tell me that it was there - His reply was that he was going to call later that day - probably 5 minutes before they shut so i couldn't collect it!!! Their customer service is diabolical, the phone system is non existent and there is no communication between staff. Would NEVER buy from them again!!

I made an enquiry online about a vehicle and got no response the next day so followed this up with a call and booked in a test drive. We arrived and were made to wait 45mins. No one seemed to know what was happening. The vehicle was not ready and needed fuel. The test drive lasted all of 10 mins and was not sufficient. Asked more questions about the vehicle paperwork etc and got told to ring the sales team next day as it was locked away. Booked in for my car to be valued in part ex and ask about the service history a few days later. Again waited more thsn 20mins to be seen. Sales person did not seem botherd and didn't even apologise for keeping us waiting! When started to negotiate about the vehicle was told it was company policy that they could not negotiate on the price. We were probably 300quid away from making a deal. However we walked away due to the combination of the whole experience. Very poor would not recommend.

Bought second hand car with faults and a promise of extended warranty. Once bought it and after chasing them was told this isn't possible. Had to pester then to investigate the fault. They allegedly didn't find it but miraculously the fault isn't there anymore after they had the car for a week. They refused to give me my money back although it was within 2 months of buying it. Complaint dealt with so poorly, no point having s complaints team. The whole process an absolute joke.

After arranging to meet a sales executive at Evans H. Peugeot, Wakefield and after a 2.5 hour journey the man was not available. A junior salesman, who was pleasant and knowledgeable, showed me the car but could make no decisions without first going to see the "man upstairs". Each time he did this there was a wait of up to 30 min. which meant that it took hours to make a simple straightforward sale. When I asked to see the car's relevant documents I was told that they did not have those at hand, only a few photocopies, but that they would be available on completion. The deal was that I pay the asking price for the car and that it would be delivered free of charge. It gets worse! After paying a deposit during the visit I later sent the balance to their specified account by an instant bank transfer. Two days after that they informed me that they were cancelling the delivery because they had not received the balance. I was left thinking that the sum was lost somewhere in cyberspace! I immediately contacted the bank who assured me that the beneficiary bank had acknowledged the payment 2 days earlier. I contacted E. Halshaw and asked a junior member of staff to check the account herself. I received a reply to say that they had now found the money but that the delivery was still cancelled. When I tried to press them for a new delivery date they went into "ignore the customer" mode and would not reply to my communications. As my previous car was now off-road, I was left with only a push bike to travel around in wet freezing weather; not too good for a 66 year old. About a week later the car was delivered but with most of the documentation missing, which I was previously assured they would provide. They also sold the car without having carried out any basic servicing checks. Tyres were well under the recommended pressures. On the first day of sub zero temperatures a critical warning message appeared on the dash screen to park the car and have it taken to a workshop. The coolant had frozen to slush because of insufficient antifreeze. Six weeks after paying fully for the car I am still waiting for: 1. a receipt for the money paid. 2. proof that the necessary checks were made on the vehicle's finance/ validity. 3. the owner manual/ media booklets 4. the registration document. DVLA say they have no record of the change of owner form being sent to them. At the moment Evans H. are back into their "ignore the customer" mode. I can't get any response from them. The junior staff involved with the sale performed well, hence the single star, but they had to line up behind the names with titles. My complaint concerns those faceless individuals who are just mouths behind desks. I will provide updates if the situation improves.
I made an enquiry regarding a vehicle from which they were prompt to respond and request that I reserve the vehicle with a deposit which I did. Due to the fact I was travelling some distance I requested that if they could not move it closer to home could I do a same day drive away which they assured me was possible. This was a Thursday. I then spoke to the salesman the following day who said the vehicle was going into the body shop for some minor repair to the bumper, however he would send me some photos on the Monday of the finished job so that I could decide if I still wanted to proceed. I received no communication on the Monday, having heard nothing by Tuesday I contacted Evans Halshaw to be told was not available so left a message. Having not heard anything on Wednesday I phoned again, and was told he was still not available and left another message. The following day (Thursday I was contacted by another staff member to be told the vehicle would be in the garage the following day where I could attend and view the vehicle with a view to purchase. I finished worked early and made a 2 hour train journey to Evans Halshaw, whilst on the train and half way into my journey I received a phone call telling me the car cannot be viewed and still in the body shop. I returned home and by the following Tuesday had still not heard anything back from Evans Halshaw after being assured on the previous Friday that they would keep me updated and the vehicle should be ready the following day. Due to the poor service I cancelled my interest in the vehicle and 5 days later still waiting for the return of my fully refundable reservation fee. Having bought many vehicles over the years this has to be the worst experience I have had.
