Wouldn't say it was a great experience but we got there in the end. Dayton was our salesman didn't try to rush us into a sale. Thanks
Car are very faulty and dangerous with no regards to vehicle safety checks. The warranty is not worth the extra money as you have to argue with there warranty company who refuse to cover you. Avoid this company at all cost as you will regret buying a car from them.

I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service and misinformation I have received. I paid for a 2 year warrantee which I only made a claim on recently. l spoke to the warrantee team few months to book my vehicle for a problem with the wing mirror which wasn’t closing in automatically. The booking team team explained that if I took the car to Evans Halshaw there would be no charge to me for carrying out the diagnostics check and technicians time regardless of whether the issue was covered by the warrantee. However if I took it to a local garage I would have to pay for the diagnostics charge and technicians time. Even though I could get the car booked in sooner at a local garage I opted to take it to Evans Halshaw as I didn’t want to pay for the charge . However when I arrived this morning at the Walsall branch they said there was a charge of £100 that I would have to pay upfront and following this if the fault was covered this would be reimbursed and covered by the from warrantee. I was alarmed at this particularly since I had spoken to the booking team agent to great lengths about this. At the branch I asked to speak to the servicing manger who came out after I had waited 20 minutes - his demeanour and overall interaction with me was very rude and abrupt - as he came out out and stood there with his arms crossed and said ‘ what is it - you wanted speak to me’ I asked him to introduce himself and he said his name was Andy. I tried to explain to him what had happened however he kept talking over me and went on to explain the the charge ( which the customer agent at counter had already explained) . I had no resolution and spoke to the principle there - Ben who reintegrated the same charge and when I explained I was told to the contrary Ven simply said he couldn’t comment as he wasn’t present at that conversation I had with the booking team. I felt belittled by this. If I knew about this charge I wouldn’t have waited so long to get car seen to by Evans Halshaw and would’ve gone to local garage. I contacted the booking team and they said that they weren’t aware of this charge either, having spoken to 2 other agents at the warrantee dept one said that each garage has their own rules. It’s been an overall poor experience and it’s not the first time I’ve had problems with this garage - when I brought the car first time I went to view it the sales person wouldn’t let me test drive it and was very rude raising his voice I felt very intimated by him back in 2018. I complained to head office who were very apologetic and had the car transferred to the West Bromwich branch so I wouldn’t have to deal with the team there. Maybe it’s the culture at this branch - I don’t know if they are prejudiced towards people from minority ethnic backgrounds but once again I’m extremely disappointed in Evans Halshaw your warrantees aren’t worth the paper they are written on. I have had no value from your warrantee and felt very devalued as a customer. Furthermore you need to consider further training and development in the customer service interface as well as equality and diversity. I will also be leaning an online review of my terrible experiences.
Brought a car nearly a month ago to date still happy with it, Jason was very helpful, very good salesman, hope I will still be happy with their service if I ever need to get in touch. Thanks Jason 5/5.

On Saturday 7th July 2019 my husband saw a Peugeot 2008 2018 plate advertised in the Auto Trader by Evans Halshaw Ford in Walsall , he telephoned the show room to be told the car had been reserved but the people who had reserved the vehicle had been to see it and decided not to buy it. After this telephone conversation my husband and I had a long conversation about this and whether it would be worth the 2 ½ hour journey from our home in North Lincolnshire to view this vehicle. On Sunday 8th July when my husband went to look for the vehicle in the Auto Trader he found it had disappeared. He rang the garage again to ask to speak to the representative he had been speaking to only to be told no-one of the name ever worked there!! However, he spoke to another representative who assured him the vehicle was still on the forecourt, didn’t give a reason why the vehicle has been removed from the advert but the vehicle was there for sale at the same price as advertised. My husband informed the representative that he would talk it over with me, the car being mainly for my use, and ring him between 5 and 6 o’clock on Monday to make arrangements to see the vehicle on Tuesday if still available. On Monday 8th July my husband rang the dealers showroom, and the representative he had spoken to rang him back at 6.45 pm and after assuring us the car was on the forecourt and confirming the price of the vehicle, mileage etc we arranged to drive down the next day, Tuesday, for an appointment at 10.30 am with the rep. We left our home at 8.00 am and drove down, arriving at 10.30 am prompt. We were kept waiting a full half hour, being told the representative was with another customer. However when we met the young man he was apologetic and very polite. We viewed the vehicle, discussed the price and then moved on to the part exchange price for our vehicle, we told him the price that ‘We Buy Any Car’ had given us, on line, and asked if they would, as they advertise on TV, match this price, the representative went to discuss this with his manager and came back with a price that was £225 less than the price we had been quoted but went on to explain they would only give a certain percentage for a part exchange????? And anyway We Buy Any Car would have bartered us down if we had taken the car for them to view?????? No mention of this on the TV advert!!! We asked about the administration fee £98 and whether we had any room for manoeuvre for our vehicle and what the figure we would have to pay to seal the deal. This representative then went to talk to his manager, again, and came back with what he termed, bad news, apparently, according to him, the new CEO of Evans Halshaw, no less, had lowered the prices of their vehicles for a period of time, and by some terrible mischance the price of the car we were interested in had gone up by £1000.00 yes ONE THOUSAND POUNDS just that morning. I really don’t know which of the prevailing winds these people had thought had blown us in. We are honest down to earth pensioners who have worked for everything we own and these clowns think they can bamboozle us into some sort of deal. The young man was obviously embarrassed and I told him it was not personal, but we were walking, we were disgusted and would be telling out story as far and wide as we could including their head office, if they were at all interested. I would be interested to know whether their CEO really does this sort of wealer dealer type of thing and if so he certainly lives DOWN to my expectations of car dealers and their bad reputations which I had hoped in the twenty first century should have been shaken off and an approach of fairness and respect afforded their customers. We drove the 2 ½ hours home and have sworn never to have dealings with Evans Halshaw again and to pass our experience on. When we arrived home and started our further search for a suitable vehicle we found the same vehicle now being advertised at the higher price, the most ridiculous thing is we would have been interested in the vehicle, at the higher price, if it had been advertised at that price originally, it is the sharp practice that was put into place at the showroom that lost them the sale. 5 hour round trip, disgusting….
