I recently bought my car in for a wet belt change through a friend recommendation, from start to finish I can only describe the service I have received as inadequate & disgraceful. I was first wrongly quoted £700 for the job to then be told on the day when collecting the car, my bill was £1300 and received no invoice or receipt, my log book & locking wheel nut dumped in the foot well and my car dumped on a kerb down the side of the garage. Within a week my oil light came on, I rang over the weekend multiple times and was promised someone from the service team would ring me back. Spoke to the service manager James, who was very dismissive, arrogant & rude towards me whilst I told him how I was unsatisfied with the work that had been done and how I was charged £600 more than the original quote. After my experience at Evans Halshaw I took my car to my local Peugeot garage for tests and it turns out Evan’s Halshaw didn’t put enough oil in on the wet belt change, which to be honest just sums it up from them. Very sloppy service - not what you’d pay £1300 for. I would AVOID this garage entirely.
Told I would get a refund asked for bank details supplied twice when I rang up kept getting fobbed off don't buy a car from this garage
From when we arrived and picking up my new car chelsea was amazing and made sure everything went smoothly from part exchanging my car to purchasing a new one. Thank you chelsea 💙

I purchased and drove away my new Ford Puma on 21st July 2023 and from my first with meeting Joe and Jack until I drove my new car away my experience was excellent, as they were very polite, professional and explained everything to me in detail which put me at ease throughout my purchase. I’m a happy customer, Thank you Joe and Jack

Excellent service from James who was fully prepared to answer all questions and explore all routes to purchase as we did not want to go down the PCP route. He never pushed or attempted to hasten our decision, unlike another dealership. We were very impressed. Lovely touch making our new car collection feel special with highlighting it in the showroom, great experience. Thank you, and well done.

Sold a faulty car and trying to get a refund has been a nightmare. They are more than happy to take your money but will pull every trick in the book to avoid giving it back to you. They even argued that a faulty car does not constitute ‘poor quality’ under the Consumer Rights Act. Communication is poor and often condescending and with a threatening undertone. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Bought car from them. Car had 2 buckled wheels. Spoken with dealership to deal with this. As, I wanted to return the vehicle. They asked me to get a health check from Mercedes dealership so I did. It came back as it had buckled wheels. They didn't believe that the report was correct. So, asked me to take it to one of their branches in Batley. They run a health check again and basically said the same thing what Mercedes dealership had said. So, they told me they would get me two brand new wheels. After waiting for 3 weeks the manager Andrew Jackson came back to me and said it is too expensive and would get me a refurbished wheels and he claimed that they're as good as brand new wheels? I mean seriously??? At this point I am thinking does he even know anything about cars?! I mean who would say a refurbished wheels are as good as brand new wheels? Furthermore, I didn't agree to that. So, returned the vehicle to them and even though it was not my fault and wanted to return the vehicle after knowing there was buckled wheels. They kept delaying everything and hold me responsible for mileage and made a deduction for that from my Deposit. Long store short. Don't even trust " EVANS HALSHAW FORD WREXHAM". As, Andrew Jackson and Andy are the worst managers to talk to and deal with as they would do anything to take money off you and when it comes to sort your problems out with the vehicle they never return the calls to you nor respond to your e-mails. Worst Branch Ever. With worst Manager. They do not know anything about cars. They only car about selling their cars and not their consumers. They would do anything till they get the money off you.
What a joke of a place bought a Mercedes from hear nothing but problems only had the car 1 day engine warning light came on was told it was a knock sensor causing the problem got a call a week later saying the sensor had been replaced with one of eBay ( off eBay are you serious) still warning light on 8 days later finally give me a courtesy car .Car still in garage never buy a car from here again nothing but problems
