If I could give no stars I would, so lets begin I purchased a car from Excellent cars (also known as s&n motors ltd) on Tuesday 28th November 2017 I drove down to Sheffield to see the car after my enquiry on the Monday, I was told in a voicemail that the car was perfect drove great ( I knew it had been a CAT D) I Was assured all work had been done on the car I asked the damage that was done to the car and I was told by Dave via voicemail message ( which I have) that it was side damage to the doors on passenger side and pillar which had been fixed, so as I said I drove down and had a look at the car, I dealt with Noel on the Tuesday as It was Dave's day off pleasant enough chap who advised again the car was in perfect condition (baring in mind this is a 13 plate Ford Grand C-Max with only 16700 miles on the clock) I inspected the car and yes it did seem ok ( I am no mechanic) in there advert on Autotrader it advised the car had been mot'ed on the 23rd November so it had a full year (again giving the assurance the car was perfect) when I asked when down there to confirm I was advised it had mot until April 2018, Again I asked about the damage and was advised it was side damage to the car and Noel even showed me where there was a little mark on the passenger rear sliding door, I said yes id purchase if they put a years mot on the car which they did and it sailed through the mot apart from a faulty seat belt which they replaced from another grand C-MAX They had in stock, so again car (MOT Station has now been reported to Ministry of Transport) when I brought the car back from Sheffield I put it in to the garage local to myself to have it inspected and the knocking sound looked at (yep knocking sound and horn not working) I have now been advised today (5th Dec 2017 ) that the car was a total front end right off. not a side impact as was told (I have proof via emails and voicemail and 2 different witnesses) the horn was put back on the car upside down and only a single horn not as should be a double horn hence water getting in to the horn and well basically killing it, the knocking sound is still a work in progress at the moment (ill update this once we get to the bottom of it) the mechanics at the garage could not believe the car was on the road due to the shoddy rebuild that had been done on the car there is a load of major faults that will be updated once I have dealt with the legal side of this... Updated 6th December one of the main rattles of the car was the bolts that connect the new bodywork to the chassis of the car where not tightened properly (as garage said left loose) this in its self is a major safety concern. Drive shaft bolts where not torqued (updated 8th Dec 2017) I spoke with them today (5th DEC 2017)Who had a very blazy attitude of couldnt care less as i purchased it as a cat D but under the consumer rights act of 2015 this car is not fit for the purpose and i am entitled to my full money back, i have started the legal process to make this happen. Noel advised me that he would need to speak to the company directors ( In Fact after doing a check on companies house Noel Palmer is one of the company directors) updated 8th December 2017 Excellent cars have ignored all ocrrespondence even though the car is under the 1 month warranty that every car in the uk is issued with under law, so please do not buy from these guys as they will just fob you off right left and centre PLEASE PLEASE DO A INTERNET SEARCH ON THESE COMPANIES BEFORE YOU BUY A CAR FROM THEM AS YOU DONT WANT TO BE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS MYSELF

Hi Just to update you I had a dealing with this company- basically sold me a pile of junk- shoddy MOT etc etc, car broke down after 24 hours of picking it up- again got a load of arrogant front from (Steve Wilmots (owner- I think) and Noel was the guy I was dealing with too, Long story short took 8 months in total and took them to court- won the case hands down- they never respond to anything until the last minute and don’t be scarred by the letter you might get from their ‘legal’ team.

Hi Matt I have plans for excellent cars that they won’t like.. all good things come to those who wait as the saying goes. Noel Palmer is one of the directors of the company but tries to fool people in to thinking. He is just a salesman, I have been contacted by a few people already regarding the company and I am building a dossier to hand over to TS to have them take them to court as well.

Wish I read all these 'reviews bought a Citroen c4 in November 2018 by February the gearbox obliterated itself doing some digging and the pre sale inspection Carlisle auto repairs doesn't exist tried dealing with Noel with no luck just getting fobbed off now dealing with finance company and getting the same from them £ 7775 for the car and £5000 repair bill now the car is basically scrap

I am surprised people are still buying cars from these, if your car is under finance then go down the route that the car is not fit for purpose and if needed take the finance company to court to have the car returned, a car sold by any dealer has to be fit for purpose, and not break down or cost lengthy repair bills only a few months down the line. I’d go speak with a solicitor and trading standards in Sheffield the more complaints they get the more they can do something about it.

Spoke to trading standards today they told me to send them a letter stateing they have got 14 days to sort something out or it's being returned as unfit for purpose then a trip to court to claim all my out of pocket expenses had to buy another cheap car to get me to work and now iv had to take another insurance policy out and pay 2 lots of road tax 700 quid to get the car back out of the garage with no gearbox in it or they was going to charge me for taking up one of there ramps cant wait take the smug look off there faces
I personally cant fault this dealership, everything went very smoothly. The staff were helpful and the car was really clean. I'm pleased with the car so would recommend them.

Have always wanted a Fiat 500 and was delighted to find one at Excellent cars. Tom was lovely to deal with, made all the paperwork so easy for me. The car was spotless inside and out when I collected it and it was reassuring to know that that it had had a full RAC service so it was running and driving perfectly. I had shopped around when looking and I feel the price I paid for my Fiat was no more than I could have paid elsewhere. Very happy to recommend the guys down at Excellent Cars.

Bought my car from Excellent Cars in March, arrived with a cracked window screen, a few dents and looked like it had a spray paint job done on it, drivers mirror had no plastic on the bottom of it, i was told off a kia garage that the car has defo been involved in a accident and the dealership forgot to mention any of this, shocking dealership ive complained about my car with them and nothing has been done, ive had to go seek legal advise as i want the car to go back to them and to be replaced. i feel like im stuck with this car as i have finance.

My car from Excellent cars has had quite a lot of issues with it. When I received it, it wasn't very clean or in good shape and I have had various issues with it. I would not recommend this dealership.

When I bought my Peugeot from here in January. The car was clean and in good shape and the whole experience was quick and easy. The dealers were quite helpful but when I had issues with the car, despite them being fixed, the communication was terrible and I kept having to chase them to hind out about the car. Based on that, I wouldn't recommend them.

Bought a Chevrolet Captiva off Excellent Cars a couple of years ago avoid at all cost. It had an oil leak from the sump which on closer inspection had been welded. After 6 weeks had to have a new gearbox fitted. When I phoned they didn't want to know even though I was quite within my rights to ask for a full refund. Couldn't be arsed to argue with them stood the cost and traded it in at a proper car dealership, grant and macallans at halfway. AVOID
I purchased a Kia Venga back in August. The dealers were quite helpful and the car wasn't in very good condition, it had rust on it and could have been cleaner but up to now I have had no mechanical issues with it. I wouldn't recommend this dealership based on the condition of the car and the price.
