We phoned FG Cars today to ask if a car we had seen online was still for sale. We phoned twice once an hour before...on both occasions we were assured that the said car was still for sale. We traveled 50 miles to their showroom...on arrival we were informed that the said car had been sold the day before !! I suspect they just tried to get us to view their other cars. I would never go there again..they inspired as dealers no confidence whatsoever.
Viewed car online and phoned dealer to confirm condition of vehicle, I was assured the car was 100%, with no issues and a full years MOT. Arrived and car looked ok and indeed had a years MOT. Took if for a test drive with the salesman Mat Bosworth. Anyway car seemed ok... I paid the £17,500 for the vehicle. However on my way home (200 Miles), The vehicle started to make a noise from the front and there was a vibration from the steering. I managed to get off the motorway but the front suspension collapsed as I went off the slip road and veered into the barrier. I have spoken to the owner of the garage and he was very abusive. FG Cars won’t answer my emails or phone calls, I have now had the car assessed and it has been in an accident previously and sub standard repairs carried out by FG Cars. Having investigated further it appears that FG Cars are regularly purchasing non declared accident damaged vehicles , doing quick repairs and selling the cars on at what appears to be a good price. They also use their own garage to MOT these vehicles. I have informed trading standards and my insurance company are going to pursue them, A legal case will also be raised.
Phoned this dealer to say we were coming from Gloucester to view a car lady on the phone asked us what time and assured us car would be kept - arrived at 1.20 car had been sold what a waste of 4 hours of my time and how rude!! So not trust FG Cars.
Having viewed a car online on auto trader and their website I phoned FG cars to discuss the car to be told the condition of the car. They explained all was good with the car, in excellent condition for its age, explaining the car had just had a full service and a MOT and it was completely ready to drive away. Everything seem to be good with the car and because I was going to travel a long distance to view the car they asked if I wanted to pay a refundable £100 deposit to secure the vehicle and if I was not completely happy on arrival I would get my money back and could walk away. I then happily pay the money. only 5 hours later I received a phone call to say they had checked the car again to find the car had a large crack in the windscreen and an major oil leak. It doesn't take a genius to work out they sold the car to someone else, which just goes to show they are not honest or trustworthy people. I have received my money back though.
Avoid avoid avoid. Bought a car which turned out to be a rust bucket underneath MOT was done by their mechanic, when things started to go wrong ( out of 3 month warranty of cause) had it checked by my usual mechanic who notified me that car should not have passed!! I was driving around with my children in it! It has cost me approximately £1000 to put things right so far! NEVER again!
This was my first purchase from FG Cars and I can honestly say it was one of the best car buying experiences I've had in my 24 years of driving. The showroom is very clean and comfortable and the sales staff really do look after their customers. They made sure my purchase was serviced and fully checked and valeted before I took it and gave one years breakdown cover. I had one minor issue after collecting the car I phoned them back and without hesitation they said bring it back and we will sort it. Which they did. I would most definitely make my next purchase here and would happily recommend them
Had mixed experiences with this dealer, but OK in the end. Bought a cheap people carrier. it worked for one day then developed an intermittent gearbox fault so I took the car back. FG Cars agreed and gave me a refund cheque which cleared quickly.
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid Car broke down after a week and wouldn't start so was collected for diagnosis/repair by FG Cars. The diagnostics report from our mechanic prior to collection was not favourable, their garage stated there was nothing wrong with it. As like other reviews, Fatim does not like being challenged, no customer care after purchase and very apathetic attitude to dealing with issues. My advice, put everything in writing to them, thankfully for me, eventually resulted in an offer of full refund....... They have refused to return my personal belongings from the vehicle even though I returned all the documentation to them as requested in order for them to re-sell. I will have to do 135 mile round trip to collect as one item was given to me by my late Father... Very petty, but indicates the type of people they are.

The car I ended up buying from FG Cars was a fair price compared to similar models I'd seen. I asked them to touch up some bodywork issues and clean it up as it was a little scruffy inside, they did sort the marks but the car definitely hadn't been cleaned. Apart from that the car drives perfectly and I'm happy with my purchase

STAY CLEAR OF FG Cars. Initially I thought FG were a great company, spent time working with me and my partner's father (mechanic), allowed my partners father to test drive the car on my behalf which was signed off as mechanically sound, no ramp check had been done. However, when the day came to buy the car, the car had been registered as disabled, so had no VED. I was told to go to the nearest Post Office, (which as a non-Loughborough-local, I didn't know where it was) to pay the VED and bring it into my ownership. Granted, this was explained to me, but would've been better customer service to have done this on my behalf, or even offered to drive me there. Taking ownership of the car was fine, papers signed, key (1 key) handed over and away I went. I took the car to my local mechanic who knew this was my first car, who after initial inspection, he put the car on a ramp, only to find the rear disc calliper seized open, and the passenger side front drive spring had snapped. I phoned FG to inform them, who offered me £100 to repair, so instead I booked in with their garage, knowing I was heading back to Loughborough the following weekend. The night before I was due to take the car back, offered to send the parts but no labour costs. I firstly took the car to their garage, who informed me no cars had been booked in and they weren't expecting anyone (to the point they were repainting their floors). I then drove to FG Cars where after a 15 minute wait, the Managing Director, arrived, then proceeded to have a 45 minute argument with me, who likes to put words into your mouth, so word of warning. The issues with my car, made my car unroadworthy, invalidated my car insurance, and made me a liability on the road, which I wasn't made aware of until after the fact. FG Cars did not offer any service by AA, bother speaking to the mechanic I'd used, nor offer any other local garage to undertake the work on their behalf. During the argument, I was told to hand the car back over because he "didn't like my attitude", considering he didn't apologise for; not booking me with their garage, telling me I'd caused the issues, and then telling me I'd called him a liar. As I was handing the details of the car back, the parts arrived, I had the car booked in properly with their choice of garage and finally repaired. Interestingly, once I returned the original disc calliper, Fitim was nowhere to be found, but one of his team were incredibly apologetic. Just a shame this member wasn't there to see the argument, as I'm sure this person would've reconsidered their career with this company. I personally will never touch this company, I have urged all my friends and family in the Leicestershire area not to use these, and I will do my best to spread the word that this is a company to stay away from, not to mention the "owner's" attitude towards Sales, Customer Service and Customer Retentions. Needless to say, I have informed Trading Standards. To Fitim, phrases to remember; News of bad customer service reaches more than twice as many ears, as praise for a good service experience. Take the time to address unhappy customers and do everything in your power to remedy the situation. It's not only worth keeping their business, but also avoiding any negative word of mouth exposure.
