Had my old car for 6 years and these guys made switching so easy. Great service, no hassle, and I’m loving the new car. Couldn’t ask for more!

Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Within the first 30 days the car developed multiple faults despite hardly being driven. A gasket issue was identified at purchase and the vehicle had to be returned. Following that, a new issue developed involving the engine warning light and the car had to go back again. Most recently, the vehicle developed a loss of power issue. My biggest concern was the pattern of faults. After each repair attempt, a new issue appeared. Rather than building confidence that the problems had been resolved, each return left me increasingly concerned about the overall condition, reliability and quality of the vehicle. I do not believe a dealer-supplied car should require repeated repairs within weeks of purchase. I requested invoices and written evidence for repair work on multiple occasions so I could understand exactly what had been done to the vehicle. Despite repeated requests, these were never provided. As a customer, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect documentation for work carried out on a car I had just purchased. The customer service throughout was extremely poor. Communication was inconsistent, messages were often read and ignored, and direct questions repeatedly went unanswered. Instead of receiving clear information or updates, I found myself constantly having to chase for responses. As a customer trying to resolve ongoing issues with a newly purchased vehicle, this was frustrating and unprofessional. I was also extremely concerned by the security and professionalism surrounding vehicle collections and returns. On one occasion, the keys were left sitting on the tyre of the vehicle. On another occasion, the car was left unlocked and there was nobody present, resulting in assistance having to be sought from a random member of the public. For a business handling customers' vehicles, I found this completely unacceptable and it raised serious concerns about how vehicles and customer property are handled. To add further frustration, suggestions were later made that the vehicle may have been driven “carelessly.” The car had hardly been used since purchase and was driven normally. When I asked for clarification and evidence supporting that allegation, none was provided. I made every effort to be reasonable throughout, allowing opportunities for repairs and trying repeatedly to resolve matters directly. Unfortunately, the combination of repeated faults, poor communication, lack of documentation and concerns regarding professionalism and security made this an incredibly stressful experience. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle to carry out thorough checks, request written documentation for all work completed and keep a record of all communication.

Very Good and honest peoples .......Buy a car 2 months ago car is very perfact and in same condition...now buying 1 more car from them for my wife......using them from last 11 years
Sold me a car with a faulty air conditioning system and refused to engage on a resolution. I have had to resort to getting a CCJ - a process they also completely ignored. Cowboys!

Unethical dealership, avoid at all costs. After a car breakdown I needed something temporary to do the school run, so found an old VW Golf on autotrader for £925. The dealer was First Line Cars. I spoke to them, and the dealer told me the only thing wrong with it was the roof didn't extract (it's a convertible). The ad also described it as 'runs smooth' and it had an MOT. It was delivered at 10pm so I didn't get to check it out until the next day - when I discovered it had a lot of problems, with loads of different noises coming from different areas of the car. The dealer ignored my original contact attempts, and then started shouting at me saying "what did you expect for a car at that price" when I called him - then on messages said I should have known it was a project, and that the fault is mine for not knowing enough about cars. We had to go through our credit card company for a refund. They asked me to get it checked by a mechanic, who came back with a very long list of extremely serious issues, concluding that it was not safe to be on the road... and that these issues would have been present in the time of the MOT despite them not being mentioned. The refund is sorted, but the dealer refuses to collect the car. The V5 ownership transfer was stopped with the DVLA, so ownership is still with First Line Cars. First they told me to drive it back to them, I refused as it's not safe to drive (which you can easily tell from even attempting to drive it). The dealer complained of the cost of delivery, so I offered £50 as a good will gesture to contribute to collection - at first he agreed to this, then decided not to. It has been on my drive for over a month and they won't pick it up. The dealer still complains that it's unfair on him, wanting me to pay far more towards recovery - not seeming to realise that legally, and ethically, the costs are on him because it was delivered and rejected as mis-sold the next day, and that I would not have bought it if he had not been dishonest about the condition. I am having to go through a number of channels, reporting them to the DVSA for the fake MOT, the AA standards for their use of the logo on their site when they don't adhere to the standards, and taking legal advice on how to get them to take their car back. Be very careful in dealing with this dealer, they are extremely unethical and unreasonable.
