I was about to purchase a Bentley Continental GT from Forge Cars for £26500. he moved the goalposts a few times over price & service, which concerned me and in hindsight should have been heeded as a warning, but I overlooked this and gave him the benefit of the doubt as I really wanted the car as I felt it was a nice car. he admitted that the car had a fault; it vibrated & shuddered when accelerating and also that the car had been rejected for this reason by a previous buyer from Forge Cars - who received a full refund 4 weeks prior. he however claimed to me that Bentley of Leicester had given the car a clean bill of health. However that didn't stop him from trying to cajole me into doing a trade sale with NO WARRANTY (not permitted to members of the public from motor traders) for a lower price. Red Flags should have gone up right there and then, but I liked the car and foolishly pressed on. However I did have the foresight to ask to have the car inspected by a local Bentley specialist in Nottingham - at my cost. *WHAM* I was gobsmacked when at 10am, within 14 hours of my request I received an email (not a personal call) from him saying that he would not sell me the car, as he felt that the car wasn't for me. I felt embarrassed and humiliated, he didn't even have the decency to speak to me in person. Now you can draw your own conclusions, but I will avoid them like the plague. Check out the other 1 star feedback, he has a similar story. I FEEL EXTREMELY LUCKY TO HAVE INSISTED ON AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTION, THIS FLUSED THE SYSTEM AS I CALL IT. I COULD HAVE BEEN FORCED TO SPEND THOUSANDS PUTTING RIGHT THIS DUD CAR. This is an honest and accurate genuine review, you have been warned.
