Bought a focus st from this garage 3 weeks ago. Sales were brilliant I pointed out a few issues and was assured they would be fixed before collecting the car. Fast forward to collection day. 2 issues not fixed and I was told sorry the parts hadn’t arrived but at my earliest convenience to bring it in the parts should arrive during the week. I went in April 1st one of the issues was fixed. But I was left appalled as the major one being the broken wing mirror unit. They had swapped the mirror unit for one in a worse condition rather than replace it with a new one. Instead of a small crack it’s been swapped for one off another car that’s completely smashed. I pointed it out as I was visibly annoyed. The salesman Grant said bring it in on Saturday 5th and we will have it replaced. Fast forward to yesterday. I recieved a text from Grant “ Hi Garry the part not in yet sorry ! can re do any day next week bar monday or next sat ?” Knowing full well I work Monday to Friday and am only available on Saturday and Sunday and their “ mecommics.. I mean mechanics” don’t work Sunday. Absolutely disgusting after sales. Do not buy from these people.

Had a great experience buying my third vehicle from f1. I have dealt with two different salesmen, Jim and Boyd over the years. The best thing for me is they look after me (and friends and family that I have sent in) and I feel valued as a customer. keep up the good work guys and I'll see you in a year or so.

Bought a knackered Mercedes C63, wouldn't fix it or refund money. They don't honour their warranty! AVOID!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GARAGE!!

I have recently bought my first car here, After simply just walking in and saying what i would need, Grant has managed to secure me a very good deal on finance. I am happy with the car, it was definitely meant for me and I got it in a few days. All nice and clean, MOT and all paperwork signed, gave Grant a fright on first time I took it home, but I have learned so much from that experience. Thank you Formula 1 Car and Grant in particular, you have made my dream come true. I shall be back for another one for sure.

AVOID THIS GARAGE AT ALL COSTS! Having seen a Focus ST I liked at the Glasgow Road garage in Camelon, I contacted the garage and spoke to a Mr Craig, we agreed I’d come and see the car and have a chat. I was assured the car would be “tip top” by Mr Boyd Craig as the wheels needed a refurb, the car would be valeterd, MOT’d, service etc in time for me collecting. Upon seeing the car the clutch felt extremely heavy and already having owned the exact same car I knew this wasn’t normal so asked for it to be looked at and changed if necessary. After a few WhatsApp messages we agreed on what was to happen. However a personal family matter had came to light unexpectedly and I had to cancel the finance. This was not met with concern, it was met with hate and resentment. This was all within the 14 days cooling off period so I asked the finance company for an unwind of finance be sent to the garage. Mr Craig Boyd assured me this would be done asap by his manager Mr Paul Cowan, this was not done at all. I called to cancel the finance on the morning of 13th August 2024, and was met with nothing but questions from Mr Boyd asking why, I then explained my situation and they were having none of it. They took my £300 deposit on the 9th August and then said it’d only be available as a credit note. This was not discussed from the start and the entire staff were not transparent in their sales techniques. After countless phone calls to their offices to get hold of Mr Cowan their sales manager, the sales staff answered their calls to me in such a disgusting manner that It was beyond a joke. A simple call from their sales manager to speak to me instead of several emails to Mr Craig, Mr Cowan and the owner Mr Sinclair, not one person called me back. If such a cowboy outfit exists it’s these bunch of morons. They just want to take hard earned peoples money and not have a shred of aftercare. They have roughly 10 good reviews but upon looking deeper into this shoddy garage it got even worse. Upon me calling the finance company to chase the garage for the finance, it took 5 weeks for them to return the money!!! The garage kept an open finance agreement for a customer that did not own the car nor drive it. They also gained several £££ on interest. Since they thought they’d get away with trying to scam me I decided to seek additional advice from Trading Standards, upon which they sent them two letters with their intentions if the funds were not returned. I also had to seek advice from my solicitor too which is still ongoing. As I received the V5c for the car in record time, 3 days (which never happens), Mr Craig was fully aware of what he was doing in terms of trying to get a quick deal and move onto the next customer. I asked where the V5c should be sent and I got 3 seconds of a phone call saying “just return it” and got hung up on several times by him and his colleagues. I was pawned off every single time I called to speak to Mr Cowan or Mr Sinclair and to this day I have not spoken to them on the phone regarding this. (Some management skills). They will not budge on anything you ask if they don’t get their own way, you’d get a much more fulfilling conversation from an infant child. In conclusion, for anyone wishing to buy a car with the hard earned money you’ve saved up, DO NOT spend it at this horrendous excuse for a car garage. Read the reviews first and foremost and save yourself the absolute headache of trying to speak to these incompetent humans. The only decent guy I managed to chat to was a called Grant and is based at the other Garage. These type of people should not be selling anything let alone cars. The fix them up cheap and then make them work for a couple weeks/months then you end up left with a vehicle that’s not fit for purpose and you’ll be left out of pocket, esp if you put done a heft deposit! Proof of this has been traced to Ford specialists garages who’ve had to try fix around 10 Focus ST sold previously by here. For them to tell the customer their “new” car is a bag of mince and been driven like it’s been stolen and had numpty technicians work on them and cut corners just to save a few quid! It’s laughable that they are still in business.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. I have bought many cars from dealers over the years and this is by far the worst. They are so unprofessional and try pull wool over customers eyes by leaving cars in a mess and "getting away without fixing things". They also hold on to deposits while boasting "They would never hold on to a customers £500 deposit when they have millions of pounds worth of stock". They are extremely unprofessional. Please avoid and pay more at a more reputable dealer, you'll thank yourself later. I wish I had seen these terrible reviews before wasting my time with these guys!

John Robertson from Formula One Car Centre Limited in response to The worst, most unprofessional company!
Dear Nicole, We take customer feedback seriously, but your review contains several inaccuracies that must be addressed directly and firmly. 1. **Vehicle Condition**: Your claim that we leave cars in a mess and "get away without fixing things" is blatantly false. We meticulously prepare and maintain our vehicles to high standards and present them transparently. Such accusations are not only inaccurate but also defamatory. 2. **Deposit Policy**: Our deposit policy is clear and strict: deposits are refundable only if we fail to meet specified requirements. We prepared two vehicles precisely to your specifications, investing considerable time and resources. Your subsequent decision to not proceed—despite our efforts—warranted retaining the deposit, in strict adherence to our policy. Your reasons for withdrawing were inconsistent and unconvincing. 3. **Unrealistic Expectations**: Expecting new car standards at used car prices is unrealistic and unfair. We maintain our used vehicles according to their age and mileage, and we are fully transparent about their condition. Your expectations do not align with industry norms for used vehicles. 4. **Professionalism**: We maintain the highest standards of professionalism and respect in all our customer interactions. Your baseless claims of unprofessionalism misrepresent our business and are unacceptable. We expect mutual respect and professionalism in all dealings. We firmly stand by our business practices and the integrity of our operations. Thank you.
Bought a car from high station Grant was really nice and helpful to start with also encouraged us to take out the extra warranty. Initially service was good car went back for a few small issues but after the initial 3months warranty was up the problems started car was sluggish at 2000 rpm through all the gears I contacted Grant and was told they couldn't look at the car since the warranty was up I then said I had taken the extra warranty out only to be told by Grant that f1 didn't take on any outside work and they couldn't do nothing even though I took the warranty out at there recommendation. Before we recieved the car I was assured by Grant the car would be fully serviced and to my surprise the fault that was occurring was due to air filter that was completely clogged up like it has been used on a farm force year or 2 and certainly wasn't changed 3 months previously also the oul filter was completely sucked in and twisted also certainly not 3 months old,the garage that I got to service my car said it's the worst oil filter they had ever seen and was atleast a year or 2 since it had been changed. I'm in the process of sending info and pictures to the ombudsman about this garage I would recommend avoid at all cost or If you purchase a car from them get proof of what they say they have done to the vehicle and get a second garage to check over the car soon as you can. After having problems myself I have heard of other cars purchased from there having issues with them that have not been told about also you have question why they mot there cars in Glasgow when there is an abundance of mot stations In the falkirk area on here doorstep
Well whar a terrible experience my pregnant daughter has had from buying a car from this place. Please listen the car was only driven for 2 days when the clutch went and by day 6, 3 error codes and smoke at 70mph on motorway, they have put them both in danger. The gave a courtesy car that wasnt much better which they have now stolen back. Boyd and the team bullying a pregnant women you are rock bottom. Now no car as the astra is not fit for purpose and £7000 in debt.

Recently saw a truck for sale we liked on their website. Hadn't done much research on this crowd and so wish we had. If we had seen the terrible reviews this place has and how they seem to be a bunch of con artists we wouldn't have parted with a penny. Unfortunately we put down a £500 deposit, what a mistake that was. After doing some research on both the vehicle and the reviews we lost faith in the company and decided we wouldn't go ahead with the sale. We didn't sign any paperwork with them or have a contract in place so should have been entitled to a refund as per their terms and conditions. They would not give us a refund, instead offering a credit note to purchase a different vehicle. After chasing them for our refund, contact ceased with them. They refused to answer our calls or emails. We eventually pursued a refund through our bank instead and are glad we have a great bank. After already having placed a £500 deposit, we found that by clicking the "Reserve" button, this would reveal the vehicle reg number and upon checking, we discovered that the vehicle had not had an MOT since 2021. This tied in with a lot of others reviews mentioning that Formula One Car Supermarket has a lot of inventory that looks like it has just been sat there in their forecourt for who knows how long. Formula One Car Supermarket has recently updated their website so the ability to check the vehicle reg is no longer possible. It doesn't take much searching on Facebook to show what children you are dealing with. Multiple videos available for public viewing of them 'pranking' each other in the office. Perhaps this is what occupies their time instead of answering calls or emails. We would advise anyone looking for a new vehicle to AVOID this bunch of CON ARTISTS. If you do go ahead with a sale please, please check the registration of the cars before hand and on your head be it.
I purchased a 7-seater from this dealership at an inflated price because I needed it urgently. Gran, the salesman, persuaded me into this car despite its strong smell. I was only allowed to test drive only one car despite my request to try another. Although promised a buyback option, they never followed through despite calling them several times. The car developed multiple issues within a year, costing me a significant amount in repairs. When I tried to return it before the warranty expired, they brushed me off. Overall, a disappointing experience. I advise looking elsewhere, as there are better dealerships in Edinburgh.
