The service was fantatsic when we made our initial enquiry, no question was too much, and being a distance purchase, Barry provided all the information required to make our decision. buying from Honda Approved we thought would be a safe option. delivery was arranged at no cost and Barry kind worked around our availability. From delivery day, the major issues started. The car was delivered with significant damage to the door card, the passenger door rubber trim was hanging off and the car had 7,000 more miles than advertised, with random gearbox delays and issues selecting D, none of the above were mentioned when I asked about the condition of the car, nor was the damage to the front bumper (albeit only light scratching). Barry was very apologetic and assured me this would all be resolved without issue. The car (Honda CRV auto) was collected and taken back to G&M for repairs the following week. After 1 week and no update, I contacted Barry who advised me the dealership principle had viewed the car and felt the condition was acceptable for a car of its age (2015), they also advised there was no issue with the gearbox and the long delays changing gear and pulling away was standard to the 9 spd box. I should have accepted the refund and cut my losses, but due to our previous car being written off and the hire car no longer an option, we opted to accept the car back, with the door card replaced and door rubber replaced. The car was returned the following week with the door rubber simply mastic glued back in place and a mismatching door card from a 2013 CRV EX (Bristol Honda highlighted this mismatch) installed. The gearbox issues developed further to the point the car was dangerous to pull away from busy junctions, so we again contacted G&M who said it was normal when they test drove the car, but if we wanted to pay for them to diagnose it, that was fine. We took it to Bristol Honda, who within 2 hrs of having the vehicle, identified the gearbox had terminal damage along with the transfer box and as a result, a new gearbox and transfer box were required (fortunately covered under Honda warranty). The car was given a full health check whilst there, where they identified some additional issues, worn Aux belt, low engine oil and binding rear callipers were requiring urgent repair. The car had a full service by G&M Honda prior to delivery only circa 600 miles prior to the works at Bristol Honda, so it is difficult to see of these items and issues were missed. The tech also advised the rattle in the drivers door was also likely the result of the previous accident damage to the drivers door, which was poorly repaired, again something not identified to us when we asked Barry if the car had any previous accidents. Although G&M did cover the costs to the Aux Belt, they made the process of identifying the issues challenging, had we not insisted the gearbox did have an issue and accepted them stating it was performing as Honda expect, it is very likely the gearbox would have suffered a complete failure during our ownership. We opted to buy a Honda Used Approved vehicle knowing the level of care, quality of prep and reassurance the cars are rigorously checked prior to sale. The experiences with G&M Honda have been far below our previous experience with Honda. Had the gearbox parts and subsequent health check been completed within the initial 6 months of ownership of the car, we would have rejected the car in a heartbeat, sadly this option was removed due to parts delays. For anyone wishing to buy from G&M, make sure you view the car in person, check works have been carried out as agreed prior to collection, and if you have any issues post purchase, ready yourself for resistance to repairs. the sales team are very efficient with enquiries and will go above and beyond to help make a decision, with a no pressure approach. The vehicle quality and after sales support when problem arise is where they fall well short.

I bought my little Jazz to g and m Gravesend again this year, the service was top notch and I had a free mot, plus a valet . I can’t fault this garage so helpful and customer service was excellent. Yes I would always recommend the Gravesend branch.

I Have never been to a dealership like it. I Purchased a Honda Civic from G&M Motors, the service was amazing and there was no pressure at all. Top people and will go out of their way to help regardless.

I recently purchased a vehicle from here, and was excited to collect the vehicle as I had always wanted a Honda Civic however the day didn't go to plan. I phoned G AND M before I went to collect the vehicle and make sure it was ready, they said yes everything was fine and come down but we haven't managed to put any fuel in the vehicle since the test drive and back then it only had 20 miles reminding, which wouldn't even see me home. Once I arrived I signed the paperwork and they were going to let me go, when asked we need to TAX my vehicle first. This was then a problem and the sales manager disappeared in the office from 5 minutes, then came out and said they don't have the V5 for the vehicle, so will need to tax the vehicle on a v62 however this can't be done unless the vehicle is in the trade, i know this because I am an administrator for a car dealership. Then they said i need to trust the previous owner doesn't un-tax his vehicle and drive under his tax and not have the vehicle in my name. i didn't want to do this, but didn't have a choice as I didn't have another car to drive and they couldn't provide me a demo. After all this we finally agreed they will take responsibility for any issues and i drove the car home, well half way home, then realized they hadn't fitted the dashcam, like they said they would. so i drove back, walk in and asked where the dash cam was and the sales person my dad handed it to, spoke to him in a disgusting manner, then the whole sales team disappeared. After 15 minutes of searching they had lost my dash cam, they gave me a replacement. After over a week fighting to get the v5 for my vehicle, I finally got it and did everything myself on their behalf as I couldn't trust them to do it correctly. I will never go back to this dealership after the way I have been treated and have not even received a proper apology from them.
These people will rip you off - DO NOT TOUCH
I purchased a £10000 Honda Civic from this garage without seeing it! I am so glad i did. I needed a new car as I was changing job and losing my company car. After viewing a few Civic's I decided I would like to buy one. I called around a few dealerships and this one stood head and shoulders above the rest. Offered to deliver the vehicle to me at my home address an hour and a half away. So I took them up on this offer and left a deposit. Spoke with Barry initially who told me the car also comes with 12 months warranty and AA breakdown, a new MOT and Honda Service. The vehicle was originally supplied by them and serviced by them 3 times. He said my next years service will be free as it is under a service plan. Spoke to other members of the Sales team Adam and Ed all could not do enough. When the vehicle was delivered by Kevin the driver it was just as described. Kevin answered any further questions I had and was very helpful. So happy as it drives and looks great much better than others I had previously seen. If you are looking for a vehicle I would highly recommend this garage. Thank you so much.

Purchased a Hyundai Veloster from G & M Motors, salesman was nice and all was easy- then the issues came. headlights not aligned when driving in the dark so took it back- they said the bulb wasn't strong enough. Went to a Hyundai garage and the lights were not aligned and there were no less than 6 other faults that should not have passed the MOT. since then have also found other issues adding up to over £500. Absolute shambles. Added to this, when I have brought it to their attention about all of these faults they have just been paying for the issues, surely any good business wants to see the proof and ensure their standards of MOT are investigated? Clearly only care about taking people’s money and not delivering a good (or even legal) service.
The technicians at G & M Motors left a hose off after replacing the faulty starter motor. They didn’t even test drive the car/work done and then refused to pay when another garage corrected their shoddy work, even though they told us they would!! They are dishonourable rogues,
