I have very recently bought a new 2024 Model Skoda Scala SE L from Garland Motors at Aldershot. I did a lot of research prior to buying the car and Garland Motors came up with the best deal. My wife and I who will both be driving the car can not praise highly enough the very professional and courteous service we received from the Sales Executive Patrick de Silva. He has a very professional yet relaxed management/sales style and he made us both feel very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. He fully explained every aspect of buying the car and was very thorough in explaining all that Garland Motors could offer us. He confidently talked us through all of the Skoda cars within our price range and showed us these new cars which were in their showroom. He also included showing us some short videos of the cars we might be interested in. Once we had decided on the car we wished to buy he emailed and phoned us regularly to keep us informed on the build progress of the car. Furthermore prior to us picking up our new car from Garland Motors Patrick emailed us a short video of our new car with Patrick guiding us through every aspect of the car...very impressive and very useful. In conclusion, I have bought quite a number of new cars in the past 50 years and this car buying experience was the best and this was down to the exceptional customer service we received from Patrick and the company in General.

I’ve just bought a Fabia from the salesman named Patrick. He was really nice and made sure I had everything I wanted in the car. Very professional and courteous. Everyone was nice and the atmosphere in the showroom felt very comfortable.

Absolutely amazing service! These guys went above and beyond to find me the perfect car and have everything processed within 24 hours. Massive thank you to the superstar salesman Patrick who made it all happen and even drove the car over to me personally. Dealt with many car dealerships over the years and the service provided by Patrick was superior to when I’ve purchased cars with over £100k price tags! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, especially Patrick and look forward to buying another car from them soon.

I have just received the best customer service ever and this was in aftersales! Nick from garland aldershot truly did go above and beyond. Not that I encouraged it, but Nick insisted, he came in on his day off as he wanted to help me personally. With his child in tow (who waited patiently in the office to enjoy the rest of their day off together), he came up with a number of options for me that all had only my best interests at heart. Alot of companies advertise they are a family run business and there is no feel that they are. Nick provided me with a level of service I have only received a few times before and never in aftersales, not only with a family feel but with a touch of class . It is hard to find good customer service anywhere, exceptional customer service is rare. Especially in a a sector that is plagued with stereotyoes. Once found it is something to hang onto. Nick is clearly not in the business to make a quick buck, he is at garlands for the long term and wants to help customers with their first visit and every subsequent one after that. If you are a reasonable and understanding person who is decent enough to understand Nick doesn't create problems on purpose and you are willing to give Nick the time and opportunity to investigate he will put you first everytime. Unfortunately for Nick he is working in a environment with many variables, people and machines, and he does not have a crystal ball! But what he does have is a kind and caring heart, firm but fair. I hope all customers and Garlands themselves know what a asset he is to have.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE , clearly did not want the sale wasn’t interested in the slightest didn’t even show me anything on the car (I had no idea about wanted someone to talk me through it ) , when your spending 10k abit of interaction and customer service would be nice. Oh well they lost a sale over the customer service as car was stunning

Posted a bad review on here, google and Facebook about Garlands Motor Skoda in Aldershot. Their response to every single one is below (thought I would beat them to it before they post the same rubbish all over again). Update: Then they send the below reply, is the below message not stating that not only did they make errors in the way they communicated with a customer but also that their valeting team will waste your fuel whilst you have to reimburse there fuel for their courtesy car. I did cancel the order fair enough but I didn’t expect to be spoken to and made to feel guilty for something that 2nd time round I never placed an order on, I was completely honest with them that I wasnt going to be able to place an order or look at a car and I get a bad response because they don’t get there way/order. Ended up going to Lookers in Guildford as if you want pushy salesman and the blame game this is the place to go. I appreciate they went to the level of the test drive and how annoying cancellation of an order is however didn’t expect to be spoken to as I had been in the very last email. Gave feedback to the sales manger on this and was completely dismissed. Whatever happened to the customer service. Therefore can quiet honestly say travel to Guildford and go to lookers, you’ll get a better deal and friendlier customer service. Response from the owner 15 hours ago: Hi Hayley, thank you for your review. Unfortunately your review isn’t entirely factually correct. We provided an excellent level of service by pulling out all of the stops to make sure we found a replacement vehicle that fitted within your monthly budget, my sales team stayed open late to provide a test drive and get everything on the order right for you, we processed the order even though you were unable to leave a deposit on the vehicle as we are a family business that cares about our customers and wanted you to be completely happy. You then cancelled the order the next day costing us cancellation charges and we had already processed the finance documents and begun the registration process with Skoda. However - we cancelled the order and did not pursue any cancellation charges. When you refer to a pushy salesman I can only assume you are referring to us requesting that we would need to take a deposit to secure another order when you re-enquired about purchasing a vehicle as we didn’t want to take the risk on incurring more cancellation charges if you cancelled again. You emailed my sales controller with your feedback and this was not dismissed - it was responded to politely and promptly explaining that unfortunately we couldn’t have done any more for you. We have done our best to look after your needs for the last couple of years whilst you had your vehicle from us, including reimbursing you the £5 worth of petrol that you said our valeting team had used by leaving your air conditioning on whilst they gave your vehicle a complimentary wash and vacuum whilst the car was in for a service. Hi Hayley, Thanks for providing another review on yet another platform. As you have already posted our reply within the review for the general public to read there is not much to say really that hasn’t been said / responded to. I will add the following comment for the benefit of the general public that may be reading your unfair and inaccurate review before making contact with us / coming to see us and forming their own opinion: This customer bought a new car from us a couple of years ago and we bent over backwards to help both during the sale and after the sale with servicing requirements etc. (This included this customer booking her car in for a service during one the hottest summers ever recorded and receiving a complimentary car wash & hoover after the service but because the outside temperature was approaching near 30 degrees Celsius the air conditioning had come on / was on whilst moving the vehicle from the wash bay area to the area that the vacuum the vehicles the car had used a very small amount of fuel - to which the customer demanded a re-imbursment of £5 as she felt this very unfair. To which we duly obliged and gave the customer the money). When the time came for this customer to look at changing her vehicle we again bent over backwards to look after her including staying open well past closing time to suit the customer needs and taking an order for a new car without taking a deposit to secure the order (against our policy but we agreed to try and go the extra mile to look after this particular customer). The order was then subsequently cancelled by the customer after had we begun the registration process with Skoda, the finance documentation had been signed and the vehicle was nearing completion of its preparation to be ready for handover. We duly cancelled the order without obstruction or argument - unwound all of the paperwork including the finance documentation and aborted the registration process with Skoda UK. We were polite and understanding to the situation and neither asked nor perused this customer for any costs / charges that we incurred by cancelling everything down for her. We merely expressed our hopes that we may be able to do business in the future when she was next looking to change her vehicle. When this time came - we were not comfortable with the prospect of taking another order for a vehicle with no deposit and explained this to the customer. Unfortunately this was not taken well, the customer placed an order elsewhere and we have since been bombarded with negative reviews citing ‘poor customer service’ to which I can hand on heart say was not the case at all. My team and I are very proud of our customer service scores we receive from our customers and in general the feedback we get. We are obviously only human beings, so although not perfect all of the time we will always do everything we can where possible to look after our customers / visitors and provide an excellent level of service. Every thing was good as gold , and the service was good, no it was excellent service in fact. I will indeed recommend to friends and family and the car was great value for money
