Please please please don’t buy from here! I was warned about them from a friend but I stupidly ignored them and went ahead and spent £63,000 on a second hand motorhome. BIG mistake. Found many faults and they’ve done absolutely nothing about them. It’s cost me a fortune to put things right. Taking motorhome over today as we are still finding issues and still being fobbed off. Absolutely disgusting company!

Hi I made the same mistake on a new motohome first day it rained it had water ingress returned it within the 30 days right to reject consumer rights act .not replying to emails or post yet sent it back to factory , it was there for 42 day still await my money back is the law on the consumers side ??
Absolute joke of a company. do not buy from here unless you want to buy a faulty item that they will not even acknowledge. there are many other places to buy from so please, please, please, go there. these guys will put on the million dollar smile to sell to you, but if there's any issues you see a different side to them. This company has blatantly lied several times to me and my wife regarding issues being resolved, what they would offer us in return etc.... we have had to cut several holidays short due to recurring issues that Glossop claim to have been fixed. they even stated they replaced the item that was causing issues, it then got down graded to they had recalibrated it, to finally 'actually it wasn't faulty so we didn't do anything with it'. even though we sent videos and had several calls with the service centre. this is after 3 holidays had to be cut short due to this same issues recurring. Please do not get me started on the service centre. please take you van elsewhere as these guys are as bad as the after care team. i feel that as a business, they have a competition of who can lie to the customer and offer the worst service in a day. All of which i believe each staff member will have won at one point or another. I assume they will respond to this with the usual, sorry you weren't happy with the service, but the evidence shows your van wasn't faulty etc..... do not buy into their lies and spiel. this company has zero integrity and is only here to make a quick sale. PLEASE BUY ELSEWHERE EVEN IF ITS AN EXTRA COST, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
If I could give zero star rating I would. We bought our van early March 2023. Our lovely Lunar Venus was delivered on 1 April 2023. We had our first and only trip out over the Easter Holidays. We were new to caravanning and towing, Noticed the caravan was bouncing as if going to hit car when braking. We just thought it was us as we were not used to towing. The brakes were screeching metal on metal. Staying in the caravan we noticed the floor was bouncy and it smelt damp. My partner suffers with Asthma and used 2 inhalers over 2 days . We booked it back in with Glossop Caravans to find the 122 point pre delivery check had not been completed. It needed new Brakes, had major flooring damage and 50% water damage) We found out about the water damage the day before we were due to pick it up to go away for first Bank Holiday in May. We were told we could take it and use the caravan but we would need to bring it back. The Caravan needed taking apart and rebuilding which would take weeks to repair. We did initially agree to have it repaired. When we arrived to collect we realised it was very damp and it was impossible for an asthma sufferer to stay in. We then asked for an exchange. We found a caravan but it was £985 more than our Lunar. Glossop also wanted us to pay for the motor mover to be exchanged. We didn’t really have much choice to exchange it with. Rather upset deflated and realising we could not go away that weekend as planned . We handed the caravan back as we were still within our 30 days on 28 April 2023. We go to purchase another caravan over the weekend to find Glossop Caravans have not refunded or sorted the finance. We were still paying for something we did not have. We have had a terrible experience with this company. The 122 pre delivery check seems to be nothing but a sales ploy! We have been made to feel like our whole experience it’s our fault and the after care and was horrendous. If we were not lucky enough to have noticed the damage we would have been stuck with a caravan because I’m sure they wouldn’t have taken it back outside the 30 days. Also if you are part of the LGBT community as you will be discriminated against. My partner is Transgendered and was laughed at, discriminated against with staff singing inappropriate songs and misgendered every time they contacted Glossop Caravans by telephone. We now have no caravan and accessories we have spent hundreds on. An Alko wheel lock that won’t fit another caravan. Out of pocket for money paid on pre booking sites with the caravan club. All in all the worst customer service experience EVER experienced in my life.

After viewing a secondhand caravan with Robert we noticed eight blemishes ranging from scuffs to material damage. Also the lounge table was missing. We had noticed the reviews prior to visiting. Robert made a note of the issues and arranged for them to be repaired. The caravan was prepared to the highest of standards and all the staff we have met have been outstanding. Our experience of Glossop Caravans has exceeded our expectations. The service is just as you would expect and carried out efficiently. I fully recommend them to anyone. The reviews do not reflect our experience.

I saw a caravan online i wanted and rang and spoke to mike.He agreed a part exchange for my caravan so we agreed that i would drive straight over to look at it.The drive was an hours drive and when i got there Mike appeared very pre occupied.Eventually he said i’ve got bad news,it’s sold.No apology or explanation.He then tried to sell me a caravan worth £2000 more,until he realised i wasn’t interested and walked away and didn’t come back to me.Poor poor customer service.There is a bubble that will eventually burst and all the new carravaners will eventually get rid of their vans for their foreign holidays.Unfortunately I wouldn’t return to glossop caravans..I’ve now taken my £20000 budget somewhere else.
Purchased used caravan from Glossop in October 2018 for £8000 had it serviced a year later and 73% damp and 42% damp in places. Just having it sorted at cost of £1600 and further issues are coming to light. Advice to anyone thinking of purchasing from Glossop Caravans is don't. Read reviews regarding sales and servicing/repair and they are not good.
We ordered our second hand van from Glossop Caravans in May. 6 weeks later we were due to pick it up. On the day before, at 5.30, Chris rang to say there was a problem with the brakes. Next day he rang to say they had parts, come at 1.00 tomorrow. Arrived at 1.00. "Problem with the brakes." I said could you not have phoned me? They said they should have done. They had wrestled with brakes for many hours and failed. They gave us our money back but it had cost me two 100 mile journeys, a hitch lock, caravan insurance and a load of hassle. Nice people but sometimes nice people cock it. Bad day for them and a bad for us.
