I was recommended G.R. Carter Motors by a friend, when looking for a Toyota Yaris having hung onto my Nissan Micra for a family member, and they exceeded expectation in all aspects of their service offered.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Owen, the son, over the telephone whilst searching/ finding the perfect car for me. From start to finish, he was nothing but reassuring, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and I never felt under pressure with the 'expected' hard-sell sale. I was super impressed :)
Due to the distance between us, I cheekily test drove a similar car at the local dealership; to know I was satisfied with a newer model of a car I had owned a number of years ago. Throughout the process, as it had been a while since I bought a new car, he guided me through with endless patience to my never-ending questions.
The car was great value for the price, very competitive, as I had done previous research at a number of dealerships online. It was low mileage, superb condition, one previous owner and he offered me a reasonable trade-in price on mine, for an older car that was unexpectedly generous.
With work commitments Owen fitted around me for a delivery date, ensuring a full tank of petrol and a thorough clean on delivery- as unfortunately it was delivered this weekend, with the horrendous storm we experienced all over the UK- but they kept to their agreement, despite difficulties of weather.
I cannot thank, and thoroughly recommend, this family-run, long established business enough. I have already talked to my family members who will be looking for cars themselves, in the not-too-distant future, as the experience was seamless.
On completion of my sale I also chatted to dad, Mark, to sing the praises of both Owen and his exceptional service given. I am VERY pleased with my new car and for the support I received.
In a time when people are always in a rush, they don't listen to the customer's needs, are not overly concerned at giving good customer service and often can be challenging in their manner of being discourteous, as they are only interested in a sale, not the person... THIS family-run business go ABOVE AND BEYOND all expectation!! The fact they are SO in demand, show how much care is given to their customers and why reading reviews MANY of their customers return time after time.
Thank you from a grateful and very satisfied customer! Keep up the superb work guys and I wish you continued success in your business!! Hopefully, see you again in the future (finally getting to put faces to names), with prospective family buyers in tow and I cannot wait to enjoy driving my new Toyota Yaris. A perfect end to an easy transaction :)

Having recently viewed and purchased a Ford Kuga from G R Carter i can only give praise to the whole experience. From my initial chat to Mark and then meeting Owen on the test drive can only congratulate them on the total relaxed and reassuring process. I did point out a minor concern and this was dealt with before I took delivery, if you are thinking of buying a car give them a call, nice people to do business with and i would not hesitate to recommend.

On a trip from Derby to Southwood Hall in a small village near Norwich for our daughter's wedding, our car developed a fault. As we were panicking we literally drove past GR Carter Motors midday on Friday and even though we had no appointment they checked our car and found a serious fault. Knowing we had a long drive home the next day they ordered the parts and completed the work in time for us to collect Saturday morning. The communication and help received were second to none which enabled us to enjoy the wedding fully. The cost was also very reasonable and the whole process seamless and easy. This is an honest, family business (not many around now) and I would highly recommend them to anyone either needing a repair/service etc or considering buying a car. Thank you Carter family for all of your help in our hour of need. It was very much appreciated x

I have bought three vehicles from GR Carter Motors, all have been outstanding cars. My latest purchase I waited until they had the car I wanted as opposed to buying it from anywhere else -the car I wanted was a bit special but I needed it to be a good honest car that I could rely on and Wow! -did they come up with the goods, Lovely to deal with a family business on first name terms. I would never go any where else now. I have recommended them to several friends -a dangerous thing to do with used car sales, but I have every faith in Mark and Rachel and their team.

I have brought all my cars here since I passed my test, I have always been so impressed with Mark and his team and I have never had any issues with them nor with the cars I have purchased. I would strongly recommend as a car dealer they are great. You will always get the best deal.
