I recently purchased a Jaguar XJ 2013 from Granth Cars. I was told there was no any failures on this car and they have given me "all" the documents. However, when I driven this car back, I found huge problems: the oil tank was blocked, two flat tyres in one month, airbag light blow up for no reason, air-condition blocked, suspension fault on the high way and the DPF full in 4 months. after sending the car to the garage, I was told that the chassis was seriously damaged before they sold to me and it will cost 10k to fix and they also question how this car can pass the MOT. The staff of Granth Cars just purposely not telling me this, not even show any documents on the damage. I strongly not recommend you to buy car from Granth Cars because you will never know what will happen on the road

I only wish I'd read your message some three weeks ago...I'm now a victim of appalling customer service too. Now they have my money they don't want to know about all the things that are wrong with the car and it's still within warranty, they also sold a salvaged vehicle without informing me which sounds like they did the same to you. They've changed names too to Catherine Street Motors to avoid paying out to all the dodgy cars they've sold!

How did you find out the car had been salvaged?
I found Granth Cars through looking for Audi's on Autotrader, although it was a bit of a drive away the model I found had the best mileage for the price. The dealership were very prompt to respond to any issues and had the whole sale sorted within days.

Dropped in today to enquire about a couple of 4x4. I found the old guy who dealt with us to be abrupt, I had to stop and ask him for assistance as he seemed to walk straight past me. He's not in the right trade if you want my opinion. I was 90% considering to purchase before this but it seems this guy doesn't want to sell cars?? The younger male was much more helpful, offered business card and had time to tell me about the vehicle. Based on today, I'm assuming any after sales care would be a nightmare: my advice to this business would be to retain certain members of their team.
I bought a Volkswagen golf which I bought for a bargain very pleased and happy with it. The toilets at Granth Cars was clean and overall very well presentation at their premises.
I recently purchased a used car from Granth Cars and I thought they gave me a very poor service all round really. No knowledge of the car that they sold me, very quick to get my money and get me on my way. The car was sold with an undisclosed fault too which was a knocking sound from the drivers side, which only became audible at higher speeds. They had no interest in resolving this issue. You would be wise to stay clear of Granth Cars. The second and last time I will ever use an independent dealer.

I bought a Renault clio in March 2015. The car was valeted, very well presented to me. Staff was very good. I had a minor problem that Granth Cars sorted it all out. Recommend this garage to all my friends and family. Thank you.

I am struggling to say anything positive about this car dealership where I purchased my car from in 2015. When I picked the car up from Granth Cars it hadn't been cleaned, getting any issues sorted was a hassle and quite time consuming. The Customer service was lacking, the bloke seemed in a rush. I wouldn't recommend them.
