I brought a car from this garage a few years ago but I chose not to leave a review at the time because of their threatening and unprofessional behaviour at the point I was paying for the vehicle. It's an experience I will never forget and I would never ever consider buying another vehicle from a back street garage again. I had to take the car to an independent specialist for the brand because from day one things just did not seem right. It turned out the car was completely unroadworthy. Too many things needed replacing which would have cost me thousands even though it came with a new MOT. The body work had been badly repaired and covered up with colour polish to try and hide the faults. Whenever I tried to call the garage I was told all the sales staff were on holiday and they eventually stopped answering the phone. I really hope this garage has gone out of business and haven't re-opened under another name.

I was interested in purchasing a vehicle from this dealer, and after a brief discussion on the phone about it the chap suggested I leave a deposit on the car that would ensure it was still there when I came to view it. He suggested £250 which did make me worry but assured me that if for any reason I changed my mind, he would be happy to refund this. I double checked on the prospective tax for the vehicle and found that it was substantially higher than previously estimated and this meant I no longer could afford to run the vehicle. I rang Greenside to ask them for my refund. The owner initially refused but when I quoted his promise he changed his mind and assured me he would undertake this. However, he didn’t have the right card to action the refund on his machine and I should ring back. I pursued him for several days without success to get the refund by telephone. There was always an excuse. I went up with a family friend to confront them in person and they denied that he was on the premises or that he would be able to refund it so I still didn’t get my £250. These guys are thieves and liars. I cannot stress strongly enough not to give them a deposit or any money unless you’re really, absolutely desperate for that vehicle and can afford to lose your deposit. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. AVOID THEM at all costs!

Greenside Specialist Vehicles sold me a car that is un road worthy car that cost me £3000 to fix it they covered up all issues and sprayed the car with polish to sell it. The car had a fake mot the tyres and brakes were not legal. Not to mention all the other faults wheels bearings they had oiled to cover up they had gone. They lied through their teeth in the advert the car had 6 owners and no service history when I got there I’m a mug from buying it they told me they would post the service history but mike never answers his phone. Buy else where as if you read every one else’s horror stories about them. I Don’t know how he sleeps at night that rip off merchant.

I bought a 2002 land rover discovery dt5 on the 7th of April 2016 from Greenside Specialist Vehicles after spending over £3000 to make it road worthy I am just in the process of being a small claims court judgement for the amount. Ii failed the MOT due on the 1st April and has cost me another £800 plus to bring the brakes to an acceptable standard, For peace of mind be very careful when purchasing from Greenside Specialist Vehicles.
